Strange Websites

So, after being on the internet for as many years as I have and
being subjected to many uncultured websites through links and
topsy turvy youtube videos, I've had my fair share of strange
websites. Some of these I would never speak of again (because
sometimes they're too weird, even for me), however, none have
topped the most recent one I found.
I wasn't actually looking for strange things, I was looking for
Christmas presents for everyone, and happened to stumble upon a
list of things you can find on the internet and not really
anywhere else. It was pretty interesting, that you can buy tanks
and stuff, yeah- of course, where else would you find one? (a
garage sale omg)- but the last one on the list was incredibly
surprising.
You could buy Uranium online. And it had a link.
And I didn't believe them.
So guess what I did.
Thing is, though, everything was sold out.
I can't tell if this is a good or a bad thing.
Also- runner up for me: The time someone sent me pictures of
cannibals over Omegle. Though that wasn't really a strange
website, it was scary.
I now kind of fear that the government is watching my browsing
more closely than usual, but I don't really care all that much.
u v u Cause all they'll see, that might be slightly off, would
be the traps I tend to come across.
Has anyone found anything strange on the internet? It doesn't
have to be as extreme. (I would actually prefer if it weren't..)

Ever heard of the Silk Road? It was a website on TOR that
specialized in trafficking drugs and weapons online discreetly
using bitcoins as currency. The complete transaction was
anonymous and virtually untraceable. Also, don't even get me
started on the amount of illegal **** on TOR either, it's a
lawless land.
There's tons of joke websites used to torment the masses of
which I will not name so someone doesn't accidentally scar
themselves. *chan imageboards are good enough at doing that.
99chan has tons of stuff to flip you up if you catch my drift,
that place can be dark. 4chan is just 4, nothing new about that.
7chan is where 4channers and redditors come to complain more.
Those are the only ones worth mentioning IMO.
EDIT: 99 has a methematics board and I found this website.

Sick numbers bro.

But in other news, it's not so much the government that I worry
about for these kinds of things. Its just like, the thought of
the people who made these sites, you know?
To be honest, I'm crazy tired right now, am dehydrated, and have
been delving a bit too far into the paranormal recently so my
thoughts are kind of wack right now so forgive me for any crazy
things I might spout.
Cause, I don't know what it is, but sometimes a site just gives
you creepy feeling. And so you close it, but you don't know why.
Sometimes those sites have an addicting attraction to them, like
you can't get them out of your head so you keep going back. It
becomes a normal habit of yours soon enough and you begin to
explore. I kind of wonder what you're afraid of at first, like,
what are you afraid you might be afraid of?
Idk if anyone else fears these but here are a few I came up
with:
-Someone strange finding out where you live. (This is a big one
for me, mostly just my own issues though.)
-Being filmed/audio being taken without your knowledge. (It's
possible, but also unlikely.)
-You doing something you didn't even know was illegal. (Though
it's not really something to worry about, it might still leave a
bad taste in your mouth.)
-Finding something you didn't want to find. (ie. morbid stuff
that you didn't want to know was real.)
-Finding something you didn't want to find, that you enjoy. (I
think this would be the worst.)
And these are the reasons I sometimes wish our government would
censor the internet. What would that be? -Save us from
ourselves?

don't darkweb
eh, I think there's a mild disclaimer to the internet where at
any time you might be subject to the last couple on the list. I
would read up on internet security if you're suspicious about
some of the other ones. I'm pretty sure if something illegal's
on the internet, the gov knows about it. ISPs amd VPNs can
(sometimes) give out people's information to the gov if anything
goes wrong, but there's only certain circumstances in which this
occurs. I'm pretty sure if you really were caught doing
something illegal and you didn't mean to be, you could argue
with the court and your ISP to look at past browsing habits.
Long story short, everyone has an IP address that's issued by an
ISP, and their ISP has their physical address if they need to
contact them. With that in mind, it's almost impossible for
someone to stay completely anonymous or untraced throughout the
web.
About the "being watched", do you mean like, your monitor is
being streamed to someone far away, or you mean like someone's
looking through a webcam? because if it's the latter, then I
personally wouldn't care. I mean, I don't have a webcam on the
comp I'm currently using, but even on my other laptop if
someone's watching me do weird things, than woopdeedo for them
:DD I don't really care too much about that if I'm not aware of
it. In the back of my mind, I've accepted the fact that
strangers who see me in public might have really dirty thoughts
about me and I'll never know.
