Personal Essays for college

I was just going to ask what I should write about in my personal
essay (because I still haven't done it whoops), but I figured
that maybe others that go on here also wanted to swap ideas on
what the personal essay is all about.
So what I think it is:
-My life story?
-A big event of my life?
-Something about interaction between me and the people that
"changed me"?
-idfk omg

You could say something about how you're an avant-garde thinker
or whatnot and have an open mind for the future. You could talk
about a failure that was important to you but had a moral to
take away from it. You could talk about how the world isn't
built for introverts and how easy it is to feel alienated and
answer the question of why one keeps fighting on when the odds
seem to be observably stacked against you. You could pose a
scenario about a really special person who's won a ton of awards
(but if you're that person, just write about the things you've
accomplished and what you've learned from them) and then about
another who maybe doesn't find any value in those material
awards or successes and has found reason to feel accomplished in
their own right. You could talk about the things that scare you,
and why they scare you, or maybe even fascinate you, then tie it
into the human condition somehow. You could write about the
significance of an end table in a bedroom, and how it's never
meant to hold a banquet, but stands idly in a room often left
vacant for most of the day and is only in the vicinity of human
presence when people are asleep, yet tie in something deep about
it I don't fucking know.

for my personal statements i went off without thinking about it.
I highly recommend that. Write something very personal about why
you're driven and passionate. Don't over think it. Just do it
and make it come straight from your heart.
