In your opinion--Geek Geek Geek talk

Ok everyone....I am just curious to hear your opinions.....What
piece of equipment and/or technique have you used, while doing
an investigation, that you feel provided you with the best
paranormal evidence? What piece of equipment and/or technique
that you have not used that you feel may help the team obtain
       the best paranormal evidence?
       Deb--Geek, geek, geek talk. ::)

       Here's my geek-geek answers ;D
My best piece of equipment....and favorite, are my digital
recorders. Hands down. They've given me the best evidence to
date and have churned up countless numbers of EVP's!
Whenever we can, I think we should try to use more trigger
objects that relate to the history or case and see if that draws
out anything. And did you watch the latest episode of Ghost
Hunters? Our team needs a thermal camera so we can capture a
full bodied apparition like they did, just wish they weren't so
       dang expensive :-\

During Britt's tech talk at The Stanley, he actually said that a
thermal camera, because of the cost, should be at the bottom of
a team's list of equipment. He also stated that 99 times out of
100 they catch nothing on the thermal cam -- those 99 times get
left on the editing floor. What Jason & Grant caught on the
thermal camera was a one in a million shot!! That said....I'm
leaving it on my wishlist at Amazon, along with the Zoom H4n
Zoom digital recorder cuz I still want one too!! I have yet to
listen to Nikos' recordings from The Stanley from his Zoom but I
hope to this weekend. He had his on almost the exact times I
did, usually sitting within 10 feet of mine so I'm curious to
hear if he captured anything I didn't.
I also think my voice recorder is my best piece of equipment. I
would like to start using my Ovilus more, although I wish the
video screen worked in phonetic mode. The times I have used it
have been hit or miss--either a lot of relevant words come out
       or none at all. :-\

So far the digital recorder has been the best. I would love to
start getting visual evidence on the various cams!

Personally, I like my audio best for review. I thought I would
love reviewing the cameras for evidence but you are handcuffed
to the screen for hours on end. At least with audio, you can
still be active while reviewing; walking around, doing dishes,
       walking the dog.
For evidence I still think the thermal cam is the hardest item
to argue with. Less debunking seems to be necessary when you
       have visual evidence.
My favorite, strictly for results, has to be audio devices.

I like my mel meter just for the fact it's two items in one.

I was hoping my cameras would capture more evidence but to my
dismay, they have not. The voice recorder has adquired more
       evidence for me.
I agree with Carrie, we should try more tigger objects for more
       results.

You and Rebecca did capture that red light though, and I have
what looks like a woman apparition from my digital camera...it's
not very often that something does turn up visually, but when it
does, it certainly makes it all worth it. I'm really looking
forward to seeing if anything will turn up on my full spectrum!
       :)

Good one, Carrie...re: trigger objects. Just like Christian
playing the old music - that seemed to stir up some activity
because that's when we all heard the growl, crying, screams,
etc. And I also think digital recorders are awesome! Although I
did get that really cool shot on my digital camera in
       Tombstone... ;)

We seem to get a lot on the voice recorders. Id love to get a IR
or full spectru video camera, just in case that apparition
       decides to make an appearance!
