Ideas for New server rules

General Server Rules:
Accountability rule: Say John Doe tells friend Tim Deer to join
the Server. Tim logs on, and gets white-listed because John
tells Nxck he is a friend. Now say Tim Deer immediately starts
griefing. John Doe should share some of the blame, maybe in the
form of jail time or a temp ban. This is because John Doe made
himself accountable for Tim Deer's actions.
Survival Server Rules:
Permission Rule: Say Preamble builds a Strip Mine. Masinini then
enters said strip mine, without Preamble's consent. Masinini
then mines some materials. These Materials should be given to
Preamble, but Masinini is evil and cruel. he takes them and
makes himself a nice pick. This should be considered a form of
griefing. Preamble took the time to make the mine, so why should
Masinini be allowed to just take stuff without Preamble's
approval?
Same goes for a house. Say Masinini wants to live with Preamble.
So he add's a second floor to Preamble's home, or add's another
room. This should also be considered griefing, without
Preamble's permission.
The Survival rules may seem harsh, but it is mainly to deter a
problem. Suppose someone does invite themselves into someone
elses home. Who is to blame? Who get's punished? With What? What
rule does this fall under?

The Squid-Pool Rule: Only I may be allowed entry into the Squid
Pool of Gobbyboy. Penalty is 12 years in a labour camp.

Hmmmm. I don't like that rule. The punishment isn't good enough.

I like these rules so far. Any more ideas are welcome and them
i can make an official RULES post, and overwrite the original,
bare bones, one. These punishments arent really harsh, because
Ive seen catfights over these same types of issues between
players and its annoying as hell.

Just so you know masi, feel free to use my mines or w.e. :P,
just follow the blueprint if you do. To be slightly more on
topic, a rule i would suggest would be to disallow people from
selling items they've produced from a non-legitimate source (ie.
tnt's wheat farm). not a huge deal, it just bothers me to see
people playing non-legitimately on a survival world when there
are two creative worlds to do whatever you want with.

I don't know if i agree completely with the first rule, because
i mean it's not like the first guy said hey i'm gonna get u
whitelisted on this server you should grief...I mean how is the
first friend suppose to know that was the intentions of his
other friend.

Yeah Pre agreed. Tnt is admin tho so i guess money isnt really
an option for staff obviously. lol, but yes, for newcomers and
such, all income will need to be legitimate. Only way I would
allow something like that is if it was build entirely from
gathered materials. So tnt, keep that on the DL or move it out.
Just to prevent it being discovered by newbs who start crying
and begging for material from it.

Well, that's why it is only a temporary punishment, and not a
perma-ban. It just add's pressure to people. It deters people
from griefing if a friend tells them they will get in trouble
to. And it will only be for the first day or so.

also, we could use vanish as soon as possible, very useful grief
detection
EDIT: also, mods or maybe just admins should be able to see in
locked chests to check for stolen items

Vanish would be awesome for staff, since they could use it and
then /tp to any suspected griefer or argument to see what is
happening without disturbing their actions (i.e. people stop
arguing, griefers stop grieifing etc...) which would then give
solid evidence against the player(s).
