Ok an idea I just had about the "VIP" Rank we have for people
that donate, is rather than having a special rank on the server,
where it's all in people faces, which I think is perhaps one of
the reasons some people felt a little strongly about it, how
about instead those that donate to help the server get to pick
the colour of their name!, it's a lot more subtle than having a
whole separate rank for people donating, and it still gives
something back.
Heck I've donated and I'd be more than happy to have my name in
Orange (hint hint) as a way to acknowledge I've donated :)

I agree with that Pre, but I mean just the name, as long as
speaking text is all the same colour it'll be fine :)

It is more subtle, yes.
I'm all for it.
Yet people will still complain they want a colored name without
donating.
You can't win with everyone.
If the "subtle-ness" is a no go, I suggest it's time to leave
well enough alone when it comes to this 'Issue' about donations.
Every other server does it without so much flame, so it's quite
ridiculous.
Needless to say, Paradice is NOT aiming to be like every other
server, just basic aspects.
-Might as well squash that here before someone finds something
to complain about just to be complaining.

Why not just keep their original group name and add dollar
signs? like tnt...

Yeah the Dollar sign is a good way to identify, but I was just
thinking to save changing any group names, so people in those
groups don't look any different to others. Because I for one
wouldn't like to be looked upon differently as a moderator who
donated to another moderator who didn't.
I see your concerns Nxck, but honestly (correct me if I'm wrong)
for the most part it's staff that are donating, so it may just
for the moment look like a staff perk, and tubby honest every
person who comes onto the server are already asking how to
become the server's admin based on their little mud hut haha.
But at the end of the day Nak1411 just do what you think is
best, I'll back your decision, I'm only suggesting this as a
means to prevent anyone being treated differently.

Well i haven't noticed an issue yet about the name changes.
Like i said before, people are gonna complain either way. People
that donate will get upset that they don't get recognized or a
name change, and people that don't donate get upset cuz they are
jealous.

the donors give you money, give them what they want to an
extent, those who do not donate can suck it up (including me).
I dont see why they can't understand that people who donate do
deserve benefits since they're giving real world money to a game
that costs $20 in order to keep a server running that costs
multiple times as much as that every month.
