Oh, so I get it now. I shouldn't donate because i'll be better
than other users and it would be unfair. Thanks. makes me feel
real good about my charity.
Look, i'm not easy to piss-off, but you guys sure as hell did
it. You are arguing over donations?!?! Really? You, the people
who I admire and respect?
I wanted to donate because I felt like I owed it to Nak for
being such a great and supportive Admin. But now the names been
tarnished by this argument.
Work something out. Maybe limit how long these permissions are
given.
But don't say donators will donate for the incentives. It's
callous, rude, and ignorant to a fault.

Again, you're looking at it in Charles' point of view.
Some people do things for the wrong reasons.

Ok guys heres the thing, the VIP rank only gets permissions that
can make the game a bit more fun for the people that donate such
as mobdisguise permissions and ect, it doesnt give the people
any advantage over others. Also, the whole reason for the rank
is to try and get some money back into Naks pockets from what he
has to fork out for hosting and domains and ect. im sure we
would all be more than happy to ditch the VIP rank if one of you
people who disagree with the idea would like to pay the expenses
of running the server, but until that happens, just stfu, kgo?

Nxck, you miss my point. You guys are ruining the name of
donating by arguing over it and saying the stuff you have. I
agree with Tntwizzy. Either come to an agreement or do away with
it.

It's not that you are. It's that you were. By arguing over
donations, you guys aren't going to do anything besides tarnish
the name/point. I'm saying I agree with your opinions, but don't
just outright say people will only donate for incentives or
anything of that nature. it's callous and will be taken wrong by
other people.

Is this the quote that upset you?
I see nothing else that comes close to this argument.
The player makes the choice to do it for the wrong reasons, not
us.
It's not assuming they'd make the wrong choice, it'd based on
observation.
As I said, MC is only a competitive game if you make it.
Those who make it competitive are the one's who seek
self-recognition therefore getting it at all costs.
If this wasn't true, real world trading in major games such as
RuneScape and WoW wouldn't be a big market.

Like I (and Pre) said, as long as VIP's don't get more than
petty stuff like MobDisguise, then I'm fine. If they start
getting permissions for water, fire, lava, WorldEdit, etc., then
I'm going to pack up my stuff and leave.
