       Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Wow! From the map, this facility looks HUGE! Bigger than where
       we stayed last time.
I'm assuming we will have access to the water taxi, since one
end of the complex is close to the lagoon.

I think I remember reading that the water taxi doesn't launch
from Cabana Bay Beach. (CBB) We can either walk or take the bus.
Undercover Tourist has a pretty good write-up about the resort.

Orlando Informer shares all of the transport options from CBB,
including photos and even a video of the less-than-one-mile
       walk, if we so chose.

We can take the water taxi from Royal Pacific. The time it takes
might be longer due to the wait, but might be a better option
when we are tired at the end of the day.

I just realized we booked 2 standard rooms, which means no
kitchenette. :( It would cost us $80 more per night to switch
to the family suite, so we don't feel that's worth it just for
the kitchenette. I thought we had booked a family suite for some
       reason.
What room type did you all get?

       We have a Tower/Standard room.
Two queen beds, iconic decor, and a flat screen TV make your
       room a private getaway.
These Tower Rooms are a great place to shift your vacation into
relaxation. Two queen beds, iconic decor, and a flat-screen TV
make your room a private getaway. Pull back the curtains to let
in the Florida sunshine or pull them tight for a restful night’s
sleep before a day in the parks.
So we won't have a microwave, either. Maybe a friend has a small
one you could borrow. ??? Another possibility is to rent.

The only other glitch is not having a refrigerator/freezer. That
would limit the ready at-hand foodstuffs a bit. The hotel may
have a mini-fridge for rent. Surely they have diabetics and
others stay there who need refrigeration for medications.
Probably would cost more than necessary.

We just added $40/day to our budget for breakfast. Sill half as
cheap as upgrading both rooms. I did call to ask if there were
any Family Suites next to/across from the standard rooms. Nope.
       They are in bunches.
We will still stock up on granola bars, breakfast breads, drinks
       and snacks from Trader Joe's.

Yay! We just got a very good upgrade offer for our rooms, so now
we have 2 family suites. This means we will have two
kitchenettes and two fridges and two microwaves, so feel free to
share our extra food storage place or come nuke something if
needed. Also, they told us they would put you guys as close to
us as possible. We have different room types, so we likely won't
       be super-close, but who knows?!
We can't wait! Here's what our room will look like:
