History of Minsk

(WORK IN PROGRESS)
Short Summery
Form the beginning the people of Minsk were under foreign
occupation. They lived and died under a foreign flag. This was
mostly due to the pessimistic point of view of most people. Such
thinking was unchanged un-till the 1800s.
Originally the people of Minsk were allowed to learn and speak
their own language and practice their own religion. But that was
changed in the early 1800s. The governor of Minsk district
banned all these things and if this law was broken the
punishment was prison or death.
A young student, Rafael Steczkowski, organized the first ever
partisan group. He and his men attacked the enemy, the occupier,
in ambushes. His men once successful, were eventually killed off
after a five years long hunt. But his action sparked the
“revolution”, it wasn’t an armed revolution, it was a peaceful
one. People stopped being scared, they kept on speaking their
own language and passing it on to the future generation.
In thirty years, the underground organization, which was created
two years after Steczkowski’s death, trained three
thousand men in the underground training camps and officer
schools. In 1836 they launched another rebellion, under the
General Tarczyk, but once again, after 4 years of
fighting the rebellion was crushed. Same thing happened with the
1867 rebellion, when eighteen thousand troops took up arms and
started to fight. Soon after a two-year struggle they were
defeated.
But after a long lasting war, another chance appeared, a
communist revolution started in the country, thus the Minsk
people saw this as a chance to finally gain independence. After
three years of fighting with the communists and the occupier,
they finally gained what they all hopped for, an Independent
country. The Commonwealth of Minsk was established on the 11th
November 1918.
National Uprising – The Independence War
It took fourteen years to prepare the National Uprising. Through
this time the underground organization (renamed to Minsk
National Army in 1901), managed to gather and produce arms for
200,000 men strong army. The MNA (shorter for Minsk National
Army) also managed to link up and make contact with other less
known organizations, and with nobles who had the power and money
to recruit and arm a battalion of men. Such nobles where
Jarema Kotowski, Antoni Sobieski and Ignacy
Mostowski their forces were named the Knight’s Order of Minsk
(KOM for short).
MNA and KOM together had had 170,000 men, out of which only
50,000 men (45,000 from MNA and 5,000 from KOM) were well
trained and could be classified as regular army. KOM was the
elite of the join Minsk forces. Their troops were well armed,
trained and had artillery.
On the territory of modern Minsk, the Kingdom of Moriskov
stationed an army of 300,000-500,000. They were mostly armed
with weapons manufactured in the two main arms factories of
Minsk. The Archer Arms Factory and Goshka Shipyard Arms Factory.
But some weapons came from the mainland Moriskov, like the heavy
machine guns and artillery pieces. Also the Moriskov Royal Navy
was present on the rivers of Minsk, and it’s river fleet would
prove to be very dangers for the MNA.
Since 1915 until 1917 heavy fighting was going on between the
Minsk forces and Moriskov Royal Military. But then in 1917 a
Communist revolution has begun on mainland Moriskov. Most of the
Moriskov troops turned communist and fought against their
officers. About 85% of Moriskov troops were now Red, the rest
decided to make a deal with the Minsk forces. The deal was that
both the Minsk forces and the remains of the Moriskov Royal
Military would both jointly fight the reds. And so they did, in
a year of gallant fighting and literally insane operations, like
using 100 plains to transport 200 troops across on to an enemy
airfield just to take it, the war was won and Minsk proclaimed
its Independence from Moriskov.
During the war Minsk forces were also supplied with arms from
Schwabenland-Falkenland. Thanks to their support Minsk had a
500,000 men strong army by the end of the war. It also had a
strong airforce and navy.
The First King to be elected was Jarema I Kotowski. His reign
lasted 6 years, from 1918 until 1924, and then a new king was
elected from amongst the nobles.

Królewskie Wojska Specjalne (Royal Special Forces)
By: Denxson Date: February 13, 2013, 11:34 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Królewskie Wojska Specjalne(KWS) (Royal Special Forces)
officially was created as a separate force on May 23, 2001.
Before becoming a separate type of force, the Special Forces
already had experience in what they were doing and had a very
long history (since 1917) and traditions.
Operational History
Operation Avalanche (18 XI 1917)
- First air assault operation in the world carried out by a
special air assault company of the Royal Navy. The company was
formed from the VNA-1 and VNA-5 ground attack squadrons of the
Royal Navy Air Service. The newly formed Air-Shock Company
(Minski: Kompania Powietrzno-Szturmowa) was actually specially
trained, every man in the unit was a pilot, and others were
mechanics and such. They all were trained in infantry combat.
- The operation was simple; fly across the channel and capture
the enemy airfield and capture or destroy a supply dump. The
unit was 68 men strong in total (2 soldiers per plane), they
were organized in 3 battle groups (each of 20 men) and a HQ
group (8 men).
- When the battle started, the unit first bombed the enemy
barracks near the airfield, killing most enemy pilots, before
landing. The unit quickly took the airfield and the buildings
around it. 1st BG, 2nd BG and the HQ group stayed behind to dig
in and hold the airfield. The 3rd BG went on to take the supply
dump, but realising that an attack would be simply a suicide.
The troops went back to the airfield, got in their planes and
bombed the supply dump.
- The actions of these 68 men, wiped out the enemy air support
in this area as well as their main supply point, which had most
of their ammunition.
- Total casualties were 2 dead and 5 wounded, due to the enemy
attempt on retaking the airfield.
- The commanding officer was Captain of the Royal Navy (Kapitan
Marynarki) Jósef Beckman.

NEWS!
It is now offical that Minsk started suppling arms to
Faharastan.
In unofficial news Minsk also started supplying arms to
Kafiristan rebels and sent advisers to take part in active
combat. Mostly the outdated weapons that are used by the
Minskian reserve.
Also Minsk started a new development program for a new MBT,
Tankette, IFV, APC and Technical. If any nation wants to help
out in this project, then Minsk is happy to accept that outside
help.
(Tankettes are up in the Army section :P)
