Name of Nation: The Kingdom of Askimjord (as-KIM-yord)
Capital City: Soengred
Major Cities: Soengred, Mathaarjord, Wakerun, Haarguard.
Hjaalach, Woldathold, Eastreach
Administrative Regions: Soengred Hold, Snowlight Hold, Varmfang
Hold, Morhall Hold, Southern Reach Hold, Eastreach Hold
Population: 501,797 (Est. 2E 245)
Name of Race, and facts: Askim (S.) Askimfolk (P.) Askimjordian
(Adj.) Mostly blonde haired, white skinned, blue eyed people who
are, similar to Naardoskians. The average life span is 90-110
years.
Time Progresseon: Time progression is based off of the date of
foundation. The "Old Kingdom" or the Kingdom of Askimjord's date
of foundation 1E 7 approximately 1,000 years ago. Once an era
(E) hits the year 1,000 it restarts back to year one in the next
era (Ex. 2E 1). Days of the month go in this order:
Preferred Map Colour: Light Red
Trade Goods: weapons, armor, iron, steel, gold, jade, stone,
textiles, alcohol, tools, literature, livestock, vegetables,
meats, timber
Political Structure:
- High King Gustav the Elder (King of the Askimfolk)

Nation Background: The Kingdom of Askimjord, or the "Old
Kingdom" was founded approximately 1,000 years ago from ancient
Askimfolk. Their name long since forgotten, thus they are
regarded as the "Old Ones", or "Ancient Ones". There were an
estimated 700 of these "Old Ones" they are a sacred part to the
Kingdom of Askimjord. The Askimfolk are an essentially an old
people the earliest traces have been found even passed the
lineage of the "Old Ones". The "Old Ones" are the basis of
religious faith in Askimjord with temples and shrines littering
the ancient landscape of Askimjord. The "Old Ones", according to
belief, were said to have settled at the Askimjordian capitol
city of Soengred, where the city grew. More and more Askimfolk
began to traverse south towards Lake Haarguard, and even down to
the Hjallach (YALL-atch) Mountains. At this time the city of
Soengred began to evolve and increase in size. The earliest
recorded document was found under the city of Soengred it stated
that the city of Soengred had been the seat of government since
1E 7 (1,000 years ago). The Askimfolk are known to be very
vicious and violent, they have ravaged border villages to the
west and south. The Askimfolk have been in coultless wars
between each other and outsiders, constantly defending from
outsiders from other parts of the world, the Kingdom of
Askimjord has never been occupied by a hostile force. The main
symbol of Askimfolk is the Dragon, the resilience and
aggressiveness of the dragon stands for the ability to keep the
land, and the calmness of a dragon resembles the Askimfolk's
ability to remain focused in battle. Askimjord is known for the
wealthiness and fierceness of it's people throughout history the
Askimfolk have been main trade conductors and fierce warriors,
Askimjord is sill regarded as one of the most wealthiest, and
most powerful Kingdoms in the world.

The Holds of Askimjord

The Holds of Askimjord (WiP)
The holds of Askimjord are scattered evenly throughout the
landscape, and serve as metropolitan centers of trade and
commerce. Each hold capitol brings in about 1,000 visitors a
month. There are seven holds throughout Askimjord, each hold has
a hold capitol, and at least on minor city within the hold. The
capitol cities are Soengred (Soengred Hold), Mathaarjord
(Snowlight Hold), Wakerun (Varmfang Hold), Haarguard (Southern
Reach Hold), Hjaalach (Hjaalach Hold), Woldathold (Morhall Hold)
and Eastreach (Eastereach Hold).
The holds and their details listed below:
Soengrad Hold:
Soengred Hold, located northern most point of the kingdom, is
home to the capitol of Askimjord, a very prestigious city.
Soengred is home to about 34,000 people, many colleges and
trading posts are located here as well as a heavily urbanized
district, Soengred is considered the most wealthy city in all of
Askimjord. The City of Soengrad is also the home of the kingdoms
military, land and sea, the local guard is also serving as a
contingent to the local army stationed in Soengred. The local
contingent of Askimjordian forces in about 50,000 , troops, and
7,000 naval troops. The nearby town is Ustenvik, with about
3,000 residents.
Snowlight Hold:
Snowlight Hold is a very quiet and peaceful Hold, and as the
name suggests it snows a lot here. Snow has become a problem for
trade so the Holds economy is low. Despite the low economy it is
still a very prosperous Hold. Crime is not much of an issue in
this Hold. Tourism is the main industry for Snowlight Hold,
people come from all over the world to visit the Hold Capitol of
Mathaarjord. The local military is significant which makes
Mathaarjord a military stronghold along with Soengred.. The
local military strength is about 29,000 troops. Falkstead, the
nearby town close to Mathaarjord is home to about 5,000 of the
Snowlight Hold population.
Varmfang Hold:
Varmfang Hold is a small Hold near the border with Fallcrest,
home to about# of people. Another remote hold, with a vital role
in the security with the neighboring Kingdom of Fallcrest. This
small Hold is also another Askimjordian military stronghold,
with local stenght of about 25,777 troops.
Southern Reach Hold:
The Southern Reach Hold or "The South" is a very poor Hold
with a fishing based economy. Haarguard is the main source of
freshwater fish in the Kingdom. Haarguard is home to the
Askimjordian Royal Navy Academy, where the naval forces of
askimjord train in Lake Haarguard, a huge lake, the source of
Naval troops and fish alike.
Hjaalach Hold:
Hjaalach Hold is located to the southeast of Askimjord and is
the most remote of the Holds in Askimjord, mostly because of the
Mountain Range the city sits upon. Hjaalach Hold is also the
poorest Hold of all, poverty is a great issue in the
southeastern Holds of Hjaalach and Haarguard, but most poorest
id Hjaalach. Though very poor Hjaalach Hold is rich in religion
there is about 12 temples and ancient ruins dedicated to the
"Old Ones" in Hjaalach. Hjaalch also has the least population in
Askimjrd with about 10,000 residents. The regional government is
very corrupt as well, thus there are about 12,000 Askimjordian
Royal Guardsmen stationed there, along with the 2,000 local city
guards.
Morhall Hold:
Morhall Hold is another very prosperous Hold in which the
economy is based off of tourism and farming. Morhall Hold is
also the largest Hold in Askimjord. There are about 100-150
farms within the Hold. Morhall Hold produces about four fifths
of the Kingdoms vegetables and livestock. This Hold is home to #
of people the majority of whom are farmers or military
personnel. This Hold also has a strong military presence because
of training grounds west of the City of Woldathhold.

The Military of Askimjord
The Askimjordian Royal Guard , is the main armed force in the
Kingdom of Askimjord. The Royal Guard's job it to "defend the
sacred lands of Askimjord, it's people and it's very way of
life" as quoted from the "Askimjordian Royal Guard Handbook Vol
II". The Askimjordian Royal Guard is composed of 171,817 Royal
Guardsmen, The main forces are to collaborate with the local
guard, usually 3,000-5,000 strong depending on the Hold, and
drive the invader out of the Kingdom of Askimjord at all costs.
There are two branches of the Askimjordian military, they are:
The Askimjordian Royal Guard Askimjordian, and Askimjordian
Royal Navy. The Askimjordian Royal Navy is composed of troops,
their objective it to defend from an invading naval force,
patrol Askimjordian territorial waters and conduct expeditionary
troop movements in invading an enemy. The navy has never been
used in any expeditionary invasion but it has well defended
Askimjord from invaders. Together these forces make a good
defense from an invader.
