Nation Background: The Kingdom of Two Isles was founded when a
small fleet of people looking for a new home became shipwrecked
on two islands. They set up their first town, Evenmorre, on the
westward island, named Ravencliff, after the steep cliffs on the
Southern shoreline of the island. As the survivors grew on
Ravencliff and Aldendale, the eastward island, there was not
enough room for all the citizens and farms and everything else
they needed on these two islands, so many sailed across to the
mainland, and set up large communities, mainly for food and
resource production.

The Crimtanite War

The Kingdom of Two Isles and the Kingdom of Crimta have had
tension for several years. When KTI (Kingdom of Two Isles) took
the land adjacent to Crimta, the Crimtanites felt threatened by
the presence of other humans on their land. The year 157AF
(After Foundation) the Crimtanites attacked KTI villages near
the border. In response, KTI sent two hundred men to
investigate. They too came under attack, and those who escaped
estimated the enemy forces at around 15,000. KTI assembled their
forces into two sections; the Southern Force, with around 7,000
soldiers of the Royal Guards, and the Northern Force, numbered
at 8,000 Royal Guards and King’s Legion soldiers. The Northern
Force embarked on a voyage to northern Crimta, and waited over
the horizon. The Crimtanite army set its sites on the Southern
Force, the only force know to them. The Southern Force,
commanded by now legendary General Reede, set up defensive
positions in Valan Pass, a narrow passage near the border from
the Andhigh Mountains to the rest of KTI territory.

The Crimtanites massed their troops in the center, while Reede
reinforced his flanks. The Crimtanites charged the Royal Guards
positions, dead in the center of the force.

Almost immediately the center started to falter, and it started
giving way.

The Crimanties believed that the battle would be quick after
observing the center of the Royal Guards starting to fold, but
they neglected the fact that the flanks held strong. After
several more minutes of fighting, the Royal Guards were fighting
with more ferocity, and the center stabilized, while the
Crimtanite flanks were shattered and fled. Then the Royal Guard
flanks started to move to the center.

The Crimtanite Commander watched in horror as his troops were
caught in the double envelopment, and, unable to maneuver, the
massacre began.

The main force of the whole Crimtanite army was crushed in one
shift move. Meanwhile, the Northern Force made it’s move towards
the Crimta capital, located on the Northern Coast.

Gunboats fired on the city walls and into the city, and the
transport ships landed their troops on the flanks of the city
with little opposition. The city was surrounded, and the
Crimtanite leaders, humiliated, signed a peace treaty sent to
them by Royal Messengers. The war was over with in three months.
