Time: 0200 hours Galactic local time
       Location: ..... Unknown
With a large gasp of air, a young man shot up from the metal
floor on which he rested on. His blue eyes darted rapidly
around, searching the confines of the room he was in. On both
sides of the small and dark metal room were small view ports,
which protected the room from the cold, harsh reality of space.
The young man, still panting from awaking so rapidly, went to
wipe sweat from his brow and winced as he touched his forehead.
He gingerly touched his forehead and flinched when he felt a few
bruises. He looked around the room and found a rather small
reflective piece of metal. He crawled over to it and looked at
his face and grimaced. He had numerous small gashes and cuts
littering his face, and a few bruises on his forehead. His
auburn hair was thick with sweat and blood. The young man sighed
and did a closer inspection on the room he was in, which yielded
nothing other than a bulk head on the other side of the room. As
he stood up, he took care to notice the article of clothing he
wore was also soaked in sweat and blood, and upon further
inspection was singed and some parts were scorched black. The
jacket and pants he wore had a a camo print of tan, olive and
dark green, although the blood and scorch marks had particularly
ruined it. On one of the breast pockets was a name tag. To his
dismay, all that was left there was Alek, the rest was scorched
beyond recognition. He sighed at this small misfortune, and
walked over to the door. The door opened with a wooosh, and Alek
realized that the room actually a room. In front of him was
glorious view of deep space, along with a chair and flight
controls. At that moment, flash backs swarmed him. He slumped
into the chair in front of the flight controls, realizing his
misfortunes. His home planet was gone, destroyed by some unknown
force. He barely got away from the chaos, as he was working on
the planet's only ship while it was docked at the repair bay.
Everything he had known was gone. With the sudden realization
subsiding, he decided to check how much fuel he had left. It
turned out he had barely enough to get to the closet planet to
him. With a grunt of discontent he set course for the planet and
got up to see what he had with him. Walking back into the rear
of the ship Alek noticed a rather small locker that he seemingly
overlooked in his intial scan of the room. He walked over to it
opened and was greeted by a helmet, fresh clothes, emergency
supplies, a flash light, and an assault rifle. He quikly
switched to the fresh clothes, donned on the helmet, grabbed the
emergency kit, and checked the rifle to if it was fit for
shooting. It was a rather old rifle, being of a bull pup design.
It was a standard energy rifle, shooting small pellets of energy
at targets. It was rather sub par, but it was better than
nothing. After checking the rifle, he decided it was best to see
what was in the emergency kit. He opened it and saw a data pad,
a few aid kits, some food and water, a small portable heater,
       and a small data chip.
“Well at least I have a good supply of food and water...... and
this small chip...which I have no clue as to what it is for....”
He muttered to himself as he examined at the small chip. There
was a sudden deceleration as the ship appeared above a rather
mediocre garden world. The continents were a dark green while
the oceans were a very light teal. He gazed upon the world, awe
struck at the beauty of the planet. Shaking away the feeling of
wonder, he plopped back into the pilot's seat and guided his
small craft to the planets surface, hoping to find some fuel on
       the ground.

Alek sighed out of frustration. He was trying to set up a tent
and he was failing horribly at it. He sat down in defeat, the
tent a messy incomplete pile of failure. He Mulling over his
fuel problem, Alek decided that sitting around was not the best
solution. With a puff of air, he stood up, grabbed his gear, and
started walking into the forest his ship 'landed in'. He pulled
up his rifle and made sure it was working, then continued onward
at a steady pace. The grass was a sort of blueish-purple color,
while the dirt was a reddish-purple and the trees were the a
rather odd, stark contrast of orange and yellow. It was rather
odd for him, but it was an alien world and his first one at
that. Alek always wanted to explore other worlds, but he wish it
didn't have to start the way it did. It is best not to lurk on
such thoughts he told himself, and pressed onward. As the Alek
continued forward he eventually stumbled unto a cave.... into
which he discovered by falling into it. He quickly recomposed
himself and dusted off his clothes and picked up his rifle. As
much as he wanted to explore this new mysterious cabin, he had
to make sure he had a way out of the cave first. He examined the
wall behind him, which was a mixture of rock and dirt, and to
his immense relief there was a path back up. He climbed the
small path of dirt and stone to make sure it would not crumble
when he ran up it later. After his test of the path, Alek
climbed down and flicked on his flash light and slung his rifle
onto his shoulder and started to advance deeper into the cave.
