A garment manufacturing facility has burned to the ground!
This large ten story block long structure did not have fire
alarms, sprinklers or fire escapes. The managers had all the
doors locked to the stairwells and exits to prevent pilferage
and unauthorized breaks from the drudges.
1,460 drudge deaths resulting from the fire, smoke inhalation,
or falling or jumping to their deaths. Victims were females aged
       12 to 40.

After burning effectively to the ground the Enlisted Drudge
Fire Service along with the Commissioned Fire Service respond to
the burning of the building. With very limited, yet high tech
supplies the supervisory Commissioned Fire Service order the
Drudge unit to make use of time wisely; as the public media will
be trying to make a seemingly small story seem huge. The first
priority of the Commissioned unit is to make sure that the
outside world knows that no Men or Women died in the fire only
Drudge subjects. As such; no humans were harmed and authorities
are attempting to repay the owners for damaged property in the
       fire.
As a crowd forms outside to see what the Fire services are doing
they spot the body bags that are being used to dispense of the
remains of the Drudges. The paparazzi then shows up to
photograph the incident so that they can write in the newspaper
the names of the Drudges which were lost so that the Government
can offer compensation to their owners.
Later on the rather small, high tech, police department shows up
in their underfunded manner and attempts to have the crowd move
on so that the Drudges can be halled off to the glue making
factory to make sure of whatever spare parts have not been too
far charred. Any skin that may be used for leather which has not
been too badly burned will be utilized in making fine leather
boots and lampshades, as well as, charcoal art materials for
       professional artists.
The demolition service nearby will now move in and extract
further unburned or salvageable parts such as wood for charcoal,
and any machines that survived the fire intact. All parts of the
scene after this week will be stripped and used elsewhere or
       discarded.

[not that I ignored it I just abstained, civilians and aid from
other nations will provide the best help as possible]
       Criteria Monthly Budget Report
       Total Income: $99 Billion
Espionage Operations: Funneled $500 Million through
miscellaneous govt. spending to further covertly fund the
       top-secret operations in Indrajit. (+1)
Government Operation: $19 Billion for the government's programs.
       Nothing too spectacular.
Research, Fielding and Testing of Weaponry: $1 Billion to
continue to work on improving Kevlar vests, level of protection
has increased from stopping .45 Caliber to stop 5.56 at +500
yards (this is progressing well). Some soldiers will be given
the additional choice of adding a steel strike plate to the
front and back which will be heavy and cumbersome but will
provide some extra protection. (over 3 months)
Research and development of new civilian car engines which will
increase fuel economy and save the driver's money. $2.5 Billion
       (over two years).
Rest of money = Consumer and Business' money.

11Dp still need fixing. Many cities are without power, road and
railways are damaged. On the streets people are homeless and
hungry. Along the coast ships are washed ashore and houses and
people washed to sea, a deep layer of mud coats much of your
coastal area. People are starting to grumble about the lack of
       response to this disaster.

"The cleanup effort by the civilians and the foreign aid will
eventually turn things around. Continue to trust in the Universe
and continue to strive on in these hard times, due to the lack
of a government aided civil service we will not be able to
provide much in these hard times. We will send a bill to the
Legislative powers that be so that we can seek to create a civil
service however it will take months before that can get to the
level needed to relieve the stress of this horrible tragedy." -
a statement released by Brenda Ewing today.

The Criterian Navy has stopped an Ain Sallah flagged ship.
Within its holds were 2,000 drudges. After much "questioning" it
is determined that there is an underground railroad moving
drudges (willing or unwilling) to the Iron Alliance. The primary
funding for the shipping and movement seems to be the RQH.
