Across the RQH military are recalled to their bases as leaves
are cancelled. The ABM silos are spun up and coded orders are
transmitted by extreme low frequency radio (ELF) to the
submarine fleet and the combatant fleets of the RQH, orders that
send them to specific coordinates. The strategic bomber fleet
launches on alert and are kept up by the aerial refuelers as
they hold at predesignated coordinates. The Army departs its
bases to forward staging areas and all remaining Navy ships put
to sea. Emergency shelters across the country are made available
and city air defense rings are activated.

With the investment in sports by the government and matched by
local and business interests. The RQH Soccer (football) team has
improved drastically and hopes for a world cup win are growing.
Meanwhile Ice Skating champion Nari Zhaou has already won the
Acadian championship and has moved into the world championship.
Two new sports have been added to the sports already practiced,
Acadian football and baseball. The less centric sports of
wrestling, boxing, and cage fighting have also taken off.
Public morale has hit a high with the investment in sports
activities.

The Republic of Que Huong is switching to a wartime economy.
Propaganda films ($500 million) will be played on the movie
screens and over the radio to get the public involved. Typical
military propaganda will be publicly displayed (Loose lips sink
ships!) At this time the Draft will not be used, but
preparations are made at training facilities and government
organizations. Civil Defense will conduct monthly drills and all
CD bunkers will be checked for safety of use, with the new
atomic weapons. Weapons and combat vehicles are given priority
development reducing build times by half.
