The information from the radios was silently delivered to the
Home Security Agency where further investigations occurred. Th
HSA traced the signal back to a house owned by Major Gijara.
Further investigation and a raid led to the capture of sixteen
Nyekundu officers working in the ranks of the Joka. While the
information has been kept secret, publicly the reports indicate
corruption in the ranks of the 48th Infantry Company. This is
the same company that committed the atrocities in Surabaya and
is currently being held in an undisclosed military prison. The
Military Operations Board, or MOB, has confiscated numerous
radios for further inspection and publicly the military is
undertaking a widespread communications maintenance operation
before a joint military training operation in Freedonia.
Meanwhile, three naval taskforces and both carrier fleets have
been dispatched to Freedonia with both Marine Divisions to begin
Exercise Iron Resolve I. The divisions being chosen for the
exercise have yet to be revealed as a lottery system has been
drawn up to ensure no special treatment of any particular units
for this field training event in Freedonia.

0400 Hours
Al Suknah, Ain Sallah
The moon had disappeared behind the low hills on the horizon and
the desert air, while dry, was cold. The village was dark and
quiet, only a dozen armed men walked around the small collection
buildings. The white brick walls of the buildings were worn and
the plaster peeling as Yaswan watched through his night vision.
The device was handy, if somewhat bulky and liable to give them
away. He laid down in the soft sand, sinking into the top of the
hill. Beside him were four other Commandos laying quiet and
still as well, becoming part of the landscape and observing,
waiting.
The desert silence was abruptly broken by the distant sound of a
car engine which Yaswan quickly located in the horizon, an old
military 3 1/4 ton truck driving along the broken and dusty
road. Following it was another truck, and leading was a rusty
but running sedan. Yaswan couldn't make out facial details at
this distance with his night vision but could count at least two
people in it. The team knew this was the target, Ali Shallagh.
One of the commandos ready his sniper rifle, a silenced MBR-7S,
while the rest checked their SOP-S9C1, in a matter of minutes
this village would become hell on earth, a blaze in the desert.
The trucks pulled up to the only three story building in the
village, a lone tower separated at least fifty feet from the
other collection of buildings, and looking oddly new compared to
its brethren. Half a dozen men in shemaghs walked around only
this building. From the rear truck another dozen men jumped out,
heavily armed, wearing shemaghs as well, Yaswan cursed under his
breath but the Commandos still heard him. They began shouting
and pulling people out of the other truck, all tied together
with black sacks over their heads. In the lead sedan a tall and
gaunt man stepped out of a door opened for him by one of the two
men from the backseat, also armed. The drivers remained in the
trucks letting them run. (For those of you counting at home that
is 33 armed men and 5 Commandos)
That was the same man in the picture Yaswan had, that was Ali
Shallagh, the middle man of this operation. The Commandos snaked
through the sand in separate directions around the village; low,
slow, and unidentified. The Commandos began the assault by
slitting the throats of lone guards, cutting deep into their
wind pipes and quietly lowering them to the ground, kicking sand
over and blood they spilt. Yaswan continued moving towards
Shallagh and his body guards. Those were his biggest threat,
both guards carried the latest in Moriskov weapons and Nyekundu
body armour. Their shemaghs were also unique, each one had "Ibn
Safi Joka" in Ain Sallah script, and it meant the "The Sons of
the Sacred Joka", and Yaswan realized what he was dealing with.
Extremists.

HTML http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kSh4Hp3DXc[/center]
A shot rang out across the village as one of the Commando's
failed to stop one of the guards from shooting his pistol into
the sky, and then the shouting starting. In Ain Sallah orders
and alarms were shouted across the village as indiscriminate
fire rang out into the horizon. Jix, aiming through her scope,
fired a shot that was muffled, for the most part, and watched
brain matter splatter the drivers seat of the sedan. A second
and third shot pierced the hood of the car while Yaswan leaped
forth from the desert floor slashing one of the guards across
the throat with his knife. Bringing up his pistol he placed two
shots in the chest of a guard and rolled behind the corner of
the three story building. A fourth shot fired from the sniper
rifle dropping a guard running around along the Yaswan's flank.
Across the village the other three Commandos met up and began
clearing each building finding large stashes of food, water,
guns, and ammunition; and in the process killing numerous other
guards.
Yaswan ready his SOP-S9C1 and peered around the corner spraying
9mm bullets into three more guards but the personal body guards
of Shallagh returned fire with a heavy blast that pocketed the
wall much to close for comfort for Yaswan. One of Jix's bullets
dropped a body guard dead but the other was retreating behind
the trucks with Shallagh. Yaswan saw the body guard yelling at
the panicked driver of the rear truck, "Barra! Barra!", or out,
out! A final bullet dropped the body guard as Yaswan tossed a
hand grenade into the cab of the front truck leaving a blasted
cabin of blood and gore. The fire fight intensified as the
guards located the Commandos and began descending on them, but
not before Yaswan had Shallagh in his truck and the Commandos in
the back. Stray bullets tore holes in the canvas covering of the
truck but left the occupants unharmed.
Yaswan drove the truck through the soft sand towards Jix as far
as he could before bogging down only a hundred yards out of the
village. With numerous enemy combatants descending on him and
the team Jix shot a flare high into the sky, the orange light
illuminated her position but she wasn't worried about that. Only
seconds later the hum of Korongo Helicopters sped from the
horizon supported by Pundamilia attack helicopters. Rockets and
cannon fire scattered the armed mob and began levelling the
village. The tower was spared as the helicopters took careful
aim around it. In minutes the village was a blaze and Yaswans
three other Commando teams cleared the tower of hostages,
hostile's, and intelligence while he secured the tall gaunt man.
Shallagh was his and it was time to ex filtrate. The liberated
people were taken back to Nyekundu and the commando team took
Shallagh to a black site in Bulewayo for further questioning.
Weeks would be spent pouring over the massive amounts of
intelligence gathered, and figuring out just what was the "Ibn
Safi Joka".

Location: Black Site in Bulawayo
The room was cold and empty, the concrete floors stained dark
like puddles of shadows. A single light hung from the ceiling
over Shallagh, battered and bruised. His frail body fought to
hold conciousness as he sat on the small wooden stool, then the
daylight blinded him awake as the door opened. A tall man
entered the room, his shoulders bulging awkwardly, and Shallagh
noticed he wore the uniform of a Commando. No name tags, no unit
ID, no ribbons or medals, a plain black combat uniform.
"Come to beat me again, ape?" Shallagh spat defiantly at the
man.
"No, I have come for the answers I want. Now, who is Ibn Safi
Joka? Is it a single group?" the man asked.
"Ha!" laughed Shallagh through bloody lips, "We are the Sons of
the Sacred Joka! The Joka are us, and we are them, they are
everywhere! Through them we serve Allah!" The Commando landed a
solid blow with hist fist into Shallaghs stomach, keeling him
over.
"What is your purpose? And where do you get the guns and
armour?" Shallagh regained himself and stared defiantly at the
Commando. "Do you see this picture? Look at it Shallagh!" The
Commando produced a folded picture from his pocket. There was
nothing particularly special about this picture, it was a top
down photograph of a village in the desert, but Shallagh knew
this one.
"That is Ikissil, where I grew up. What is so special about it?"
He asked slightly confused, but the Commando knew he was
bluffing.
"Unless I get what I want in the next two minutes I will make a
call. That call will connect to a squadron of Pundamili
helicopters that will level the village. After which a Commando
team will then enter the rubble to ensure that everyone there is
dead."
"You would never do that!" Shallagh struck back, energy
regained. The Commando called out for the phone and it was
brought to him.
"Yes, commander, the permission to begin attack in two minutes."
Shallagh was frightened, fighting back against his restraints
that held him to his chair. After a few seconds of fruitless
struggling he stopped and began crying, realizing the hopeless
situation, he had one chance to save his wife, sons, daughters,
and their families.
"Fine." Shallagh mumbled through his tears and blood. "Joka,
they are the holy warriors of Islam. I led this minuscule arm of
it to make money for weapons."
"So, your terrorists?"
"We are warriors of god you fool! We use what ever means
necessary to complete our mission. Many innocents have died, but
even more infidels will perish!" The Commando grabbed Shallaghs
throat.
"What about the supplies?" he asked.
"I don't know, most of our weapons came from a Rennes man, Phil
is what he calls him self. We meet the first Friday of every
month at a small port in Ain Sallah. I trade him the Drudges, he
gives me money and weapons, what he does with those infidels I
do not know. Please! Call off the attack!" Shallagh begged.
The Commando spoke into the phone in Kundian and looked at
Shallagh, "You will lose this holy war, you stupid son of a
bitch!" before storming out, leaving Shallagh restrained in the
dim light of the small cold room.
The Commando stepped into the light of the day, briefly blinded
by the drastic change in lighting, and snapped to attention for
the man standing before him. Yaswan returned the salute and was
promptly and accurately briefed, after which he began devising
the mission to capture the Rennes man. All in good time this
Joka would fall and his team could go back home.

In response to the events the Taifashiri has approved an
emergency measure to ensure many business's stay open. The
Financial Universal Coverage Kit gives several billion dollars
to struggling industries to ensure their doors stay open.
Meanwhile numerous tax cuts have been made for large corporate
business's. The gold standard is also being discussed, as to
either get rid of it or keep it. The new National Reserve has
also been formally established as they now move forward printing
money. Interest rates of have dropped to all time lows as well
with the requirements for better credit ratings being dropped as
well. In good time this will hopefully fix the long term issues.

The Nyekundu Taifashiri has chartered "Standard's & Rich's", a
credit rating agency who will be hired to give credit ratings to
CDO's, lenders, borrowers, and securities. Some people are
questioning this move but the majority of the people believe
this is an excellent idea. After riot police let the rioters
tire out and disperse and second riot came through of sit in
style protesting blocking the entrances to banks and stores. To
ease the tensions Stimulant Universal Change Kit has been
approved for use to bail out the common man.
