The Grenetarian government has decided to mine this diamond
vien. With 100 miners suited, skilled and physically capable
(which would be rediculous for any country not to have). The
mining will commence once more of the copper is cleared out of
the way for mining to be possible. Once the diamonds are taken
from the mine we will store them in the government surplus.

I mentioned skilled enough because diamond mining is unlike
most other mining because the machinery and skill required to
make best use of a vein are not common mining skills, like
mining copper and coal. Unlike other veins which run in
horizontal strata, diamond veins usually run in shafts (evidence
of former volcanic activity).
In diamond mining, the earth is crushed in an attempt to
uncover the raw diamonds for use in jewelry and for industrial
work. The machines required for this are uncommon, and
difficult to operate without ruining much of the material.
Because of the technical skill and specialized equipment
required to remove diamonds from the earth, it would be unlikely
your small country could have 100 men trained and up to the
physical demands of working with these uncommon tools (at least
to remove from the ground at the rate the mine is capable of).
Diamond mining requires deep digging instead of horizontal
bores, which means working at incredible depths, heat, etc.
Traditional methods will ruin a significant portion of the
material and you would destroy a lot of machinery in the
process. I am certain countries such as Nyekundu and Criteria
would have the kind of personnel used to working in that kind of
heat for prolonged periods, and I am certain other countries
(such as Freedonia) would have the kind of machinery best suited
for such mining efforts.
