Can we have more positive events? Recently most of the events
have been negative and highly damaging.
EDIT: In fact can we have some sort of random factor like the
flip of a coin or a roll of a die to see whether an event will
       be negative or positive?
I assign disasters randomly, however resilience does come into
play. The longer Dp's set around they...breed. So the disaster
that hasn't been cleaned up led to an epidemic, just like in
real life. It also makes people unhappy to live in the squalor
of a disaster, so people lose faith in their government.
I am throwing you some big bones with financial aid from your
allies and enemies. Every 500 million they send in disaster aid,
which represents food, medicine, clean water, volunteers,
equipment, etc. 1Dp is removed. You ended the turn at 11Dp, but
now you have 2 billion in aid from the RQH which is -4Dp, 1
billion in aid from Freedonia -2 Dp, and Grenatar 500 million -1
Dp so thats 2 billion in repairs left to fix your country.
You aren't the only one who has suffered natures wrath, the
other countries have responded immediately to fix their
countries issues, preventing the problem from growing.
On the other hand your country has become a linchpin to the
majority of RP right now, something you should feel good about,
even if your country is the focal point of every espionage
       agency on the planet.
A lot of people would love to be the limelight of a game and you
did it with a unique social environment. Chin up you're doing
       good. :)

The last 2 Events I have made have been Positive, it all depends
on what comes to mind at the time, inspiration hit's you like a
       brick to the face

But for this weeks' assignment I had Freedonia and Antiklaus had
Criteria... we obviously have an unfair bias against each other
because of what happened in the Iron Alliance meeting which
would have a direct affect on non-human controlled factors such
       as weather, disease, or disasters.
Peaceman could flip a coin and decide whether we post a negative
or positive issue so that we don't end up manipulating the
weather intentionally to destroy our enemies which would be
       totally unfair.

to do that would be to remove nearly all the freedom of the
Weekly Events, you just deal with it as best you can, if it
causes to much damage you ask for help on the World Action
       Thread
If Peaceman started dictating whether we could make Good or Bad
events I'll bet people will quit the game faster than Jews would
leave a Synagogue after finding out the Rabbai's last name was
       Hitler.

       True...
In that case we should be able to remove more damage with help
because say you pick up 16 damage, public aid only takes away
like 2 points... then you still have roads with football field
sized cracks in the middle of them.

I actually crafted my event for Criteria to bring your
attention to your disaster. If anything, I was trying to help
you. I know losing people is bad, but the way I wrote it placed
urgency on issues that I had yet to see you comment on - things
that as a person who's lived through a few hurricanes I am well
aware of how quickly floodwater turns into a horrible situation,
more from disease than the actual flood damage. In the 50's
these things would be especially urgent to take care of.
Had you not taken attention to the disease vector aspect of
the disaster, I can assure you that it would have been an
epidemic or worse. You will note I even tossed some resources
towards assisting you to deal with it.

This is to clarify certain development of technology questions.
First, nobody has chobham armor or class III body armor (rifle
resistant) T3 is steel and slope armor, NBC systems were
incorporated, Spall shielding, body armor is fiber reinforced
plastic or aluminum over the chest and back, resistant to
fragmentation and small caliber pistols. T4 allows Combination K
style (early composites mainly metal)armor, Plate carriers w/
"chicken" plates typically worn by aircrews stop up to 7mm
bullets, T5 allows CERALU and ERA, K-15 and 2nd chance armor, T6
allows Chobham & PASGT body armor. Of course there are other
adaptations available such as spaced armor and slat armor, extra
steel like the horseshoe these were all available by T2 or
       earlier.
To develop the next tech tank armor takes 1 year and a few
billion in research dollars. To develop the next generation body
armor 6 months and a few dozen million dollars. To create a
whole new weapons system ie move from M-60 to M-1 takes two
       years and many billions.
Building ships and equipment; a carrier takes 2 years in a
country at full wartime footing and 5 years normally, same for
battleships, battlecruisers, and big deck amphibious ships. Even
the smaller ships take time to build outside of a wartime
economy. You can reduce the time of ship production by using the
techniques used to build liberty ships. This requires port
infrastructure upgrades costing a few billion.

       Chernovian United Freedom Front
The UFF is comprised of four larger groups, with different
political agendas and beliefs. Below are the following
       The People's Liberation Army:
       preferred political system: Communism
comprises of 4/12th of the UFF
       The "kalte Kriegers" liberation Group
       preferred political System: Republic
       comprises of 3/12th of the UFF, seen by many as liberators;
       popularity growing
       The United liberation Army
       Preferred political System: democracy
       comprises of 3/12th of UFF
       The Chernovian Nationalist Party
       Preferred political system: National Socialism
comprises of 2/12th of UFF, with popularity growing amongst the
       people
These Groups, while working together to topple the current
chernovian government, all are different, and thus are to
       receive "Aid" separately
       Aid Consists of
       Currency: every dollar makes a difference;
Medical supplies: to treat the wounded/populace
Small Arms: rifles, assault rifles, Mgs, pistols, old stock
       weapons (please be specific)
       Ammo
       Food
Clothing: Military grade camouflage clothing, helmets, (specific
       please)
other equipment: Gas masks, webbing, etc
*Note that Aid is to be used however that specific group pleases
once delivered. Aid given may change the reflection of your
people. (they may wish to be allies in the future) All types of
Aid are acceptable (as long as they are listed above)
