Nyekundu is a leading nation on the continent and has a powerful
economy. A large portion of the nation is still living in
poverty while the nation builds bigger and bigger. During the
colonizing of the the Dark Continent the Nyekundu people fought
off Germanic settlers who were followed by the larger nations.
In a sixty year war during the 1800's the Nyekundu adopted
foreign weapons and were committed to a guerilla style war. The
Western powers deemed the region to hostile and not worth the
bloodshed for the few resources there. During the turn of the
century the Nyekundu people used their victory to unify the
tribes across the region and established a single country. The
country slowly built themselves up while the rest of the world
dived into global conflicts and social changes disrupted
progress.
Nyekundu was able to avoid any drastic changes due to their
already unified tribes. The chiefs ran the provinces and the
Shaad ruled over the tribes. In the 1920's Shaad Usawa Kuki came
to power and began to change the social structure by first
dissolving the tribal rule of the provinces and establishing a
Western style government structure with Governors, Mayors, and a
Baraza (council) for each province to rule it. In 1938 Shaad
Usawa Kuki held the first election of Nyekundu to establish a
democratic government. Shaad Usawa ran for Watowzi (president)
and was elected Watowzi. The same year the Shaad designed the
Taifashiri (National Council) which was formed of 6 people from
each province, elected directly by the people of the province.
The Shaad officially stepped down and became the first Watowzi
of Nyekundu.
For the next 80 years a massive project was undergone to build
up and industrialize Nyekundu. By the the year 2000 the nation
was the leader of industry and the economic force of the
continent. While 46% of the people live in poverty the nation is
driving forward with numerous public works projects and raising
the style of living. A large issue remains that Caucasian people
are not welcomed int he country and tourist cities are still
fairly hostile outside of the tourist districts.

Army
The Peoples Army of Nyekundu is a well trained and heavily
equipped force of veteran fighters constantly deployed to peace
keeping and relief missions through out the world and continent.
A small independent force is in charge of patrolling and
maintaining the the National Parks. The Army operates a large
group of helicopters itself for both combat and transport
operations. All vehicles and arms used by the PAN are designed
and built in Nyekundu and this is stressed greatly through out
the country to show their pride in their own handiwork.

Navy
The Nyekundu navy is small but quite modern compared to other
nations on the continent. Their ships utilize rail gun
technology, advanced missile defence systems, and high tech
missile launching systems. The ships all carry a wide array of
intel gathering systems and have onboard ECW defence
capabilities as well as ECW offense capabilities. The primary
mission of these ships is to defend against enemy attacks,
unlawful entrance into territorial waters, and anti-pirate
activities. Nuclear reactors power all their main vessels
allowing for them to be out at sea for as long as they have food
and water for the crew.
