Faharastan was created when the continent was being divided by
the Imperial powers abroad. The region was quite unstable at
first, being held together only by a large peace keeping force.
When the Imperial forces left the nation fell into despair as
the multiple factions waged a full blown war to either control
the nation for themselves or to try and become independent. The
violence ended after the Mujaba party came to power, uniting
several tribes and using brute force and terror to suppress
rioting tribes. Things have been fairly quiet since then but
recently the tribes have begun to show their agitation and small
ethnic battles have been flaring up across the country.

National Security Force
The National Security Force is relatively well uniformed while
the weapons vary greatly from soldier to soldier. Armored
vehicles are whatever they can get since most nations refuse to
deal with the genocidal and hostile nation. The bulk of the
National Security force is Mujaban ethnics with a very small
number of other peoples. The soldiers are ill disciplined and
their training is low, if any. The danger they pose most is to
themselves typically and unarmed civilians, although small
skirmishes have occurred with other provinces' militias.

Motorization and Mechanization
Vehicles come in many forms from repurposed civilian vehicles to
older Loch'Nomere models sold to Faharastan by the former
regime. A small number of wz.1 tankettes have also somehow
managed to fall into the hands of the Mujaba-run National
Security forces. There is currently no known air power but a
large number of AA weapons have been seen strictly in and around
Gur and other key points in the Mujafar Province.

Navy
The NSF Naval arm consists of only 3 Patagonian Patrol Cutters
converted to diesel and a handful of speed boats armed with
machine guns and recoilless rifles. The primary objective of
these ships is to harass the natives who live along the coast
and theoretically provide security to the ports. The only action
the ships have seen against a real enemy is when one of the
Patrol Cutters attacked a freighter thinking it was passing
through their waters unannounced. It was later confirmed that
many of the captains were attacking smaller supply and cargo
ships and looting them. Pirate activity has increased since the
Navy received the new ships and strong evidence suggests that
the Navy is in fact assisting the pirates. Faharastan has no
official words on the matter.

Faharastan forces have been seen carrying new foreign made arms.
It is expected that the NSF is gearing up for a Civil War with
increased fighting in Yekitan and Pujmar. Rumors persist that
they also are trying to buy small coastal ships for the security
of their coast.

[move]COMMUNIST NEWS NETWORK BREAKING NEWS[/move]
National Security Forces have been witnessed targeting ethnic
Bendi peoples in the city of Gur. Reports indicate that soldiers
in armoured cars deliberately entered into a Bendi neighbourhood
in the city and began harassing the locals. The Bendi's and NSF
eventually devolved into a fist fight until a second squad
arrived in another armoured car and unleashed machine gun fire
into the crowd. It is believed the soldiers initiated the
fighting when they struck a elderly woman with a baton and held
a gun to her young grandsons head. Violence has been escalating
in the city and other areas around the country, and now we wait
to see what the world will do.
