       The Invasion
       By: Half-Blood Date: March 8, 2013, 1:36 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Months passed while the E.T.C.F trained and prepared. Slowly
over time they Interrogators broke down the Quinary Scout and
taught it to communicate on paper.
One day the base alarm sounded along with a repeating message
"make your way to the Conference Hall for a briefing"
Once there the alarm was turned off and General Eiling took the
stand, he cleared his throat and began "5 minutes ago RAF
Fylingdales picked up several very large objects hovering just
outside our atmosphere, they seem to be dropping smaller objects
into our atmosphere. The invasion has started, this is what we
have been preparing and training for, Professor Klaus has a new
weapon to show everyone before you leave" The General said as he
       stepped back.
Professor Klaus stepped forwards with a very large double
cylinder AA-12 "We developed this, it's a double barreled AA-12
and dual cylinder cartridges, it is almost twice the weight but
it's also twice the firepower and increases the firing rate from
300 rpm (rounds per minute) to 600 rpm so once you lock and load
and open fire there won't be much standing by the time you're
empty. We have mass produced them so whoever wants on can have
one straight away". Professor Klaus said as he pointed to a
stack of them near the door that one of his assistants had just
brought in on a number of pallets
OOC: I don't have a pic of this gun, it's made from my
       imagination
The General stepped forwards again "Remember Soldiers we are not
just fighting Aliens here.. We're fighting for our homes, for
our planet. Good hunting" General Eiling shouted, the men
cheered and made their way to the modified AA-12s and up to the
       surface to the waiting C-130s.
The first Reports came in of some of the Quinary drop-ships
       landing in Rome...

"75" Came the voice over the Radio "I repeat 75 Dropships are
landing in Rome" there was a deafening silence in the C-130s as
       the news sunk in
The bottoms of the ships lowered revealing for the first time
units that were not Scouts.. These were armored and instantly
opened fire on the local populace
  HTML http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/6918/featurebattlelosangeles.jpg
The Army was quick on the scene and began returning fire, their
5.56 rounds couldn't penetrate the frontal armor but the armor
on their back was another story..
a number of Ariete MBTs rolled into the city in a matter of
minutes and began opening fire, the 120mm rounds killed dozens
of Quinary, but unfortunately another 70 ships had landed and
this time with Scouts, the Plasma Rounds of the Scouts rifles
were able to chew through the Ariete's armor. This fight was far
       from over

The baleful blare of a klaxon resounded loudly through the base.
       Alpha Alert.
       The enemy had arrived.
Richard swung himself out of his bunk and swept up his equipment
pouches from their table near the door. The Strange Pistol flew
into his hand, holster and all, and he clipped it to his belt as
he strode out of the room. He was ready. He had spent the past
few months preparing for this moment, refining his actions all
the way down to the number of steps to the dispersal bays. One,
       two, three, four...
       "Hey, wait up!"
He spun around angrily, his concentration broken. He saw a
familiar flash of white, blue and gold.
       "What the hell...? Natasha?"
"Greetings, Richard!" she smiled as she drew up beside him. "How
       are you?"
"I'm fine... What the hell are you doing here? Leighton said
they'd shipped you out to Krasnodar after that fuckup at
       Ploesti..."
"Hey, Ploesti wasn't my fault..." Natasha protested. "I was
       trying to contain the situation..."
       "With a flamethrower?"
"Would you have done it differently?"
"With a little more subtlety, perhaps."
"Ah, shut up." She flicked her hair from her face in annoyance.
"Leighton was right about Krasnodar, but he should've known it
wouldn't keep me out of the picture for long. Any updates on the
       Book?"
Richard shook his head as they rounded a corner. "AVRO are
stalling on us again. Security is double-tight after you did
that whole bloody escapade trying to get in as an insect...what
       were you thinking?"
"Don't tell me you don't feel the need to find out what its
       secrets are."
"Of course I do, but at least I have a modicum of restraint.
Besides, there are always other means."
       "Such as?"
Richard delved into one of his pouches. "Good connections," he
announced, producing a written report with a flourish. "It's not
       much, but it's a start."
"Hm...energy scans and radiation readings...this could be
       something..."
"We'll talk about it on the flight," Richard said brusquely.
"Right now we have a plane to catch."
They rounded another corner and headed off to dispersal.

William was laid in his bunk when he heard the klaxon "so the
day has finally arrived has it, well time to earn my right to
feed on the human race for another 300 years" he said as he
stood up and walked out the door there stood a pale thin
Lieutenant shaking at the sight of William, he was about 5'7
       (1.69 Meters)
"What's up kid?" William asked sensing his fear "the
lieutenant's mouth trembled slightly as he started to speak "erm
P-Professor K-K-Klaus would like to see you before you l-leave"
the young lieutenant had to force out, William took a step
forwards and looked down at the lieutenant "There now, was that
really so hard to say? Now I think you better leave before you
piss yourself" William said with a slight chuckle
The young lieutenant turned and walked away as quickly as he
could "Glad to see I still have that effect on some humans"
William chuckled as he walked towards the lift to go down to
R&D, Soldiers were running passed him as fast as they could "why
run? The enemy will still be there.. You're not gonna be to late
to fuck the Prom Queen" he remarked as they ran passed both
       sides of him.
William reached the lift and pressed the button for "Research &
Development", as he left the lift he looked around and saw no
one "Over here William" the voice came from behind a divider,
William walked behind the divider to find Professor Klaus
standing next to a large suit.
  HTML http://imageshack.us/a/img829/4365/etcfbattlesuit.jpg
OOC: I finally found a use for it ;D
"Well how do you like it?" the Professor asked "What is it?"
William asked back, "I designed it to be a Battle Suit for the
E.T.C.F forces, however the one draw back it has was it's weight
and I couldn't fix this drawback so the project was shelved..
However, it also does not let in any light and protects against
UV rays" The Professor paused to take a breath and William
realized where he was going with this
"That's where you come in William, since you're stronger than
any human the weight will not bother you and it means you'll be
able to fight in day light plus and this is the part you may
like almost as much it has a lot of ammo carrying capacity so
lots of extra Buffalo clips" The Professor finished
William smiled and took off his signature black coat, rolled it
up and put it in the pouch on the back "once the sun sets I want
to be able to go back to looking like me" William said
Professor Klaus unzipped the front and William pulled himself up
and slid his legs in then slid his arms in, the Professor then
zipped it back up then pushed the covering across and zipped
that up to, he then put the helmet on and zipped it round and
clipped it down "OK I'd say you're ready to go" Professor Klaus
said looking at William "The visor will let light in but filter
out UV rays" Professor Klaus added then took William's Buffalo
and put it into the large holster on the right hip of the suit.
"Was the guy you made this for as big as me? This is a perfect
fit" William asked "No it was made for the average guy so around
5'10 (1.76 meters) but after you joined I took your measurements
as you know and began adjusting it to fit you" the Professor
       added
William walked towards the door "Thanks Professor, who knows
maybe wearing this get up they might think I'm one of them and
won't shoot at me" William and Professor Klaus laughed at the
comment and William walked into the lift and headed up to the
       surface
"Time for fun" William said to himself as he took the Buffalo
out of it's holster and ejected the clip to check it "Good" he
said as he put the clip back into the well and put it back into
the holster and walked towards the waiting C-130.

Agent 6 gathered his gear and joined the team on the aircraft.
He smiled, Rome how many times he had conducted clandestine
operations in the city. He really enjoyed the people and their
queer habit of putting mayonnaise on the french fries, which
aren't french and just taste better with ketchup. He felt some
sadness at what would undoubtedly cause damage to so many world
treasures. That's alright the sooner we put the enemy down the
       better. TO ROME AND VICTORY!

The C-130 started to move down the runway leaving Marius
Aquillius Aemilius and Kelsie Erikssdotter but there was 3 more
C-130s waiting, the C-130 lifted off the runway with William,
Agent 6 and 25 E.T.C.F special forces and several heavy supply
       drop crates.
A while later the back of the plane started to open and the
crates were pushed out of the back for the soldiers on the
       ground to restock on ammo
William unfastened his harness and walked to the back of the
plane, he stood on the edge of the ramp and looked down at the
once great city of Rome half of the city was leveled and
burning. William put one leg out and jumped, William hoped the
suit was as strong as Professor Klaus made out.
William thought he was going to be falling forever when suddenly
he felt his legs shatter as he hit the floor cracking the
       sidewalk under him
William didn't scream he merely winced then felt his bones
healing rapidly "well done Professor, the suit held out" William
said standing up and drawing the Buffalo and looked around.
William noticed something, the Quinary were.. 'sluggish' in the
Arctic they were quick but here they were slower and sort of
lacking in energy, but he shrugged it off and took aim at a
Quinary Scout on the roof top even from inside the helmet the
shot was still almost ear splitting, once the bullet pierced the
Scouts flesh it exploded and almost blew the Scout in half "I
love this fucking gun" William said as he ran over to an
apartment block and kicked the door in.
William ran upstairs "with the Scouts in the high ground the
Armour doesn't stand a chance" William said to himself as he
burst through the door to the roof
The 4 Scouts on the roof spun around in shock and once again
William noticed that they were Sluggish, but wasted no time
wondering why quickly taking aim he fired off 3 shots (all of
them hitting their target before the fourth managed to get a
       shot off
But it missed, it took the door out behind William but it
missed, William returned fire and radioed Agent 6 with the
headset the Professor had built into the helmet "Agent 6,
something's wrong. The Aliens seem to be Sluggish and their
accuracy is nothing like it was in Alaska. It's really strange..
Hope you can figure it out, in the meantime it makes them easier
to kill. Out" William signed off
William ejected the magazine then took another one from the
pouch and slammed it into the magazine well, a round was already
       chambered.
The door behind William was destroyed and ran full speed towards
the edge of the roof and jumped to the next building and
continued looking for more Quinary Scouts..

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Agent Six watched as the lights over the jump door turned from
red to green and the last supply packages exited the aircraft.
They were followed by William without his parachute... well,
       this should be interesting.
Agent Six moved to the door and jumped out the back deploying
his chute and riding down towards an Ancient aqueduct. He
released his chute at 50' and let his trajectory carry him to
the aqueduct. As he landed he rolled. He came to his feet and
his computer showed a large concentration of Quinary moving
towards the Vatican. He accelerated along the aqueduct until he
approached the Vatican. He could see Swiss Guard fighting to
       hold the gates and walls.
His suit on full camo mode he dove into the mix of Quinary. He
rapidly struck out. His sword beheaded one, a throwing knife
impaled another in the nerve ganglia of the lower back
paralyzing it and his sweeping kick caught another behind its
mandible in a nerve bunch dropping it cold. As the Quinary began
to react he had already moved spinning low he sliced another
Quinary in half, planted his right foot into the tight bundle of
nerves and blood vessel passing to the right of a Quinary's
groin and swept the legs out from another as he came to a
       kneeling position.
The Quinaries responses were off and their weapons fire did harm
more to themselves then anything else as they shot into the
midst of their own gaggle of soldiers. Agent 6 absorbed some
damage to his armor but is was light and insignificant.
He leapt up using a Quinary as a launch pad running up his torso
planting a face kick and leaping into the air his sword followed
slicing one Quinary nearly in half and cutting deeply into the
Quinary he had just kicked. He came down slicing through four
more Quinary with a wide circular strike. He felt the impact of
a Swiss Guard's 5.56mm round on his armor and he also saw a heat
plume as his visors went black. A Quinary had been lucky enough
to discharge his round at nearly point blank near Agent Six's
face. The edge of the plasma engulfed his head shorting out the
camouflage of his armor and raising the internal temperatures to
120 degrees in less than a second. The energy affected his
visual reading which now had static and grainy images. he
immediately dropped two high energy grenades and leapt 100'
straight up as the explosion went off. He landed in a nearly
clear area in front of the Vatican. t was clear many human lives
had been lost here both from their panic and the Quinary
weapons. Several Quinary charged him he grabbed one as it swung
bringing it into a shoulder lock and with a grit of his teeth
pulled its arm off. He kicked it towards the others before
throwing the arm at them. He swung his sword one tried to dodge
but was to slow by .233 of a second and the blade opened its
abdomen wide spilling Quinary intestines across the pavement.
The last one died due to a fusillade of 5.56mm bullets from the
       remaining Swiss guard.
His radio crackled to life with a sizzle and pop "Agent 6,
something's wrong. The Aliens seem to be Sluggish and their
accuracy is nothing like it was in Alaska. It's really strange..
Hope you can figure it out, in the meantime it makes them easier
to kill. Out" William said. Radio tracking identified William
closer to the Coliseum and a bit of distance from Agent Six.
Agent Six ensured all data was being recorded on the computer
including atmospheric data, pollutants, air mixture, sun
position, tides, all data that might be useful. As he bent down
and took samples of the newly dead Quinarians.
"William, I'm at the Vatican and will work my way towards you.
       Agent Six out."
