[HISTORY] The Gulf of Cancer War

Greetings,
I've procrastinated long enough with starting this;
The Following Is a WIP History Of the Gulf of Cancer War, which
began in 1915, and involved the countries of Brovilion,
Schwabenland-Falkenland and Carlosandia. This, then shall be a
Group project Between Nickygio, AggressiveNutmeg and Myself. We
hope to Include Figures, Vehicles, ships and maybe Maps of this
Conflict As time Goes By.

[center]Prelude To War[/center]
After the Devastation to the northern islands by Hurricane
(insert name here) in the summer of 1914, much of northern
Carlosandia was devastated; Carlosandia now, more then ever,
needed Raw Materials, most importantly Metals. Early in 1913,
The island of "(insert once i name islands)", now known as New
Southmount island, was discovered to Contain such Raw Materials;
After a short lived resistance by native of the island, A colony
and garrision of Carlosandian Troops moved in, and began
extensive preparation for mining by late 1915.
However, not only did the Carlosandians' Claim such an area;
Brovilion, Founded in 1896, had also laid claim to the island
and the resources that lay under the topsoil; They in turn, made
a colony on the northern end of the island for the same purpose
as Carlosandia. Tensions Between these two countries rose, until
finally, it seemed only War would settle such a conflict.
In 1910, The Government decided to "modernize" its military, in
particular, the Navy; In Santa Clarmiga, The Naval yard laid out
three new Battleships, with another 4 in the works. Elsewhere,
in Saina quetoso, 3 cruisers and one heavy cruiser were laid
out, with various Destroyers and cruisers being refitted with
various upgrades. In 1913, the Navy recieved it's first
Seaplanes, the (when i finally draw it i'll name it here) with
(blah blah blah until its finished).
Meanwhile, the Army was equipped with newer weapontry, such as
the Type 11 water-cooled Machine Gun, and new Armored Cars to
replace the outdated calvary and the "Pinto" armored car already
in service (kept in use due to a lack of units in 1915). The
army Also recieved the new (name here) scout and the (name here)
Fighter.
After the Government's decision to Modernize the Military in
1910, the Country's treasury began to decline, causing the
government to raise the taxes starting in 1913; This move was
unpopular with the public, though Acceptable.

[center]Prelude To War[/center]
Brovilion was founded by former settlers of New Yorkshire,
wanting to escape from the National Presbyterian Puritanic Holy
Church of God. After a long period of growth, in 1896 the colony
declared independence, and they separated without a fight.
Because of this, the economy of Brovilion wasn't by hindered by
war costs early on. Because of this the nation was able to fully
upgrade their military in 1913, and it was one of the most
advanced in the region. The shipyards of Bentonville and
Lewiscove amazingly built 4 Titan Class Battleships, 24 Defiant
Class Cruisers, 36 Freedom Class Destroyers, 44 Streamer Class
Corvettes and 50 McCarthy Class supply ships, in two years, and
the fleet already consisted of 8 Defiant Class Cruisers, 8
Freedom Class Destroyer, 19 Streamer Class Corvettes and 45
McCarthy Class supply ships. In late 1914, the new Triste Class
Aircraft Carrier was produced from the hull of a Defiant Class
Cruiser. Realizing the fact that aircraft can now attack surface
ships, Full Admiral Cutter ordered the addition of A-A guns to
all ships, except the Triste. All of these ships were armed with
4 x .30cal guns to try to ward off enemy aircraft.
In 1913 Brovilion settled on the island of New Southmount. From
there they began to mine the land for coal, iron, and petroleum.
After learning that the nation Carlosandia also had a colony on
the island, the First Colonial Army was set up in the New
Southmount colony, to protect these new settlers. They were
newly equipped as well, with MAR-15 Longshot Rifles, MSR-12
Leming Light Machine-Guns, 12 MAC-1 Crusader Armored Cars, 4
MAC-2 Rhino Armored Cars, and 5,000 men. They also had a small
airfield with 4 P-2 Pioneer Fighters and 2 P-3 Intruder Recon
Aircraft, and they reconed the Carlosandian colony every week.
In October 1915, an Carlosandia <insert ship class here>, lost
its bearings and sailed into Brovilion waters. The Prime
Counselor of Brovilion, Robert Ziff, believed that this was the
begining of an attack on the nation, and in a preemptive strike
ordered the First Colonial Army to attack the Carlosandia
colony. Thanks to recon, the entire island was under Brovilion
control within 24 hours. The 3rd Fleet began to sail down to
engage the <insert ship name here> and the <insert ship name
here> fled back to its fleet. The 3rd Fleet continued to sail
down to New Southmount island. The Gulf of Cancer War has begun.

In 1692, the southern islands of the Barden Island Chain (As
they are called by Schwabenland-Falkenland), were proclaimed a
colony of the Kingdom of Falkenland. Three years later,
Rubensland and the Jungfern islands was made colonies of
Schwabenland. Since the formation of Carlosandia, they have
claimed the colonies, as part of their territory, however, there
was never a conflict over the territories. With war between
Carlosandia and Brovilion likely, the Schwabisch government
reduced the forces in the colonies, in an attempt to present a
non-threatening face to Carlosandia. When war itself broke out
Schwabn;and-Falkenland remained neutral, until they were drawn
into the conflict...
