Guys:
Can I also just ask at this point that you be a little
serious about thinking up original names. "Take-offs” of
real-world things (such as doing the acronym USSR to death as
always) get very tiring very quickly, as do one-shot joke names
(e.g the Bananastan Republic). Think creatively and culturally
to come up with the perfect national name to fit your nation’s
location and people.
Try to keep the different number of USSR-take offs to a
reasonable level please.
I did not think that this comment was aimed at me, but since my
claim was not added to the world map, could you please provide
some clarification.

Quite simple, as far as nation goes, we are starting to have an
influx of soviet like nations. We need to diversify, not
stagnate in a pool of red

Just a note, currently no country has a Military that exceeds 1%
of its population. Currently the largest Military in relation to
its population is the US, which is only 0.8%. Even the largest
standing Military on earth, the PLA, is less than 0.5% of its
total population. As KE said, everyone is working within a
budget, and 1 million man armies are going to be impossible for
most countries.
Guys, please follow PoNs guidelines.

North Korea has almost 4%.
Iraq has 1+%.
Israel has 2+%.
And that is just active.
I know you are trying to make a point, but at least look at the
stats.

Israel has Conscription, Iraq only has a few units that can be
considered Modern. North Korea is stuck in the 60s with a hint
of 70s. But if folllowing this is a problem, KE can take care of
it when he's back.

I am just saying, depending of the country's tech and it's
current situation, 1% armies can surely be possible.
