Model: Mixed Market. State capitalism with some Free-Market

Overview:
Kafiristan's economy is marked by statist policies and an
inefficient state sector. The economy is structured primarily
around the nation's energy sector, which generates about 95% of
export earnings, 80% of GDP, and 99% of government income.
Recently the nation has made some progress on economic reform as
part of a broader campaign to reintegrate the country into the
international fold. The service and construction sectors, which
account for roughly 20% of GDP, expanded over the past five
years and could become a larger share of GDP if Kator
prioritizes capital spending on development projects once
political and security uncertainty subside. Climatic conditions
and poor soils severely limit agricultural output, and
Kafiristan imports about 70% of its food.

Kafiristan Civil War - National Revolutionary Authority
For the past two years, Kafiristan had been torn apart by a
brutal civil war. Thousands have died on both sides, and
thousands more civilians have been killed. The National
Revolutionary Assembly (Melka Anqlaby Gaddun - MAG), was formed
to unite the many hundreds of opposition groups into a united
front against the regime of Eternal President Zahid Sarkisian.
Collectively, the Assembly manages and co-ordinates the various
anti-government militias, the National Revolutionary Army (Melka
Anqlaby Pawdzh - MAP). The Rebel forces are primarily a
collection of militias from the ethnic minorities of Northern
Kafiristan, as well as some political groups (such as the
People's Mujahideen). The rebels primary strongholds are in the
North-West of the Country. The Capital Kator is surrounded by
rebel territory and most of the fighting consists of the
Regime's forces attempting to maintain the supply route.

Kafiristan Civil War - Multinational Force of Observers
Two months ago, a multinational monitoring force formed by
Føroyar and Hanxia and hastily deployed to the country during
the Nowrūz Holiday Truce, with the permission of both
sides. These forces currently manage and defend seven refugee
camps across the country, as well as two large civilian
airports. The mission is managed out of the Military base a
Björnborg, the Føroyar colony,on the south coast. There are also
countless observation posts across the countryside. The
Multinational Force of Observers (MFO) wear terracotta coloured
helmet covers and berets, and their vehicles are painted white
with a thick terracotta strip on the front.
