A fiery beginning
By: nextgen22 Date: July 24, 2015, 4:06 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
As I barged into the bank that was in the process of being
robbed, I think of what got me in this situation. I first found
out about my "gift."
"I'm so bored!" I look deep into crackling fire in the
fireplace, trying to think of something to do. My neighborhood
was on hour 2 of a blackout and without a TV, I had nothing to
do. My mom yells back from down the hall, "then do something!"
"Like what!?!" "Go outside!" "Ugh, fine!"
I walked down to the closest store and bought some stuff
to occupy my time with. I got that weird sticky string that
launches out of a can. I love that stuff. I bought like four
cans of that stuff! I was about to leave until I saw a box of
matches. I was never allowed to buy those things, but who's
going to stop, I don't think it's illegal.
I walked out with the sticky string and matches, and went
to my secret hangout spot deep in the Forrest near my house. I
started spraying the string at a tree, spraying my name.
After using an entire can of string, I grab my matches. I
attempt to strike it but before I even touch the match to the
box, it ignites. "What the hell!?!?!" I drop the match like an
idiot and the grass it lands on lights on fire. I grabbed
another can of string and spray it onto the match. This only
increases the flame. "The can said this stuff was
NON-FLAMMABLE!!!" I start stomping on the fire and manage to
put it out. That is until the whole box of remaining matches
seems to light themselves! "What the fuck!!!" I attempt to put
the fire out again but it's way too big. I go to a nearby lake
and put as much water as I can into the bag I got from the store
and throw it into the fire. Thankfully the water puts the fire
out.
I grab my last two cans of string and run home. I didn't
tell anyone out of fear. As I started to relax, I looked at the
fireplace in the house, and it lit. "Aughhh!!!"
There were many other events that happened and it took me
awhile to figure it out, but I finally concluded that I had
superpowers. I don't know why to this day. But I can't think
about that now, I need to focus on the task at hand.
I run into the bank with my admitably stupid costume that
consists of a welding mask, utility belt, and multiple
inflammable materials. Everyone is on the ground, except one
blur that rushes out of the building. I take a match from one
of my belt pockets and light it. I then channel the fire to my
feet and fly after him.

"Wait there's more of these guys then me? Huh I'll admit I feel
less special now. What to do? Well I don't want to get into a
fight naked let's see."
I run through multiple stores and pick up a red motorcycle
helmet man why diddint I think of a costume.
I stop in the middle of times square half a million in band
"Hey buddy what's up?"

I land across from him. Something about him seems
familiar, especially his voice. "Did-did you just say what's
up? You just robbed a bank and multiple other stores for the
make shift costume your wearing. How bout you use those powers
you have and return all of that stuff, or it's going to get real
hot, real fast!"
Please take my bluff, I can't fight here, not with my fire
at least. Why did this guy have to run to the one flammable
space in New York!

"Oh so you have the power of horriblly unfunny sarcasm too. Man
you must be a force to be reckoned with."
I walk toward him. "Just give me the money, plus something that
would cover that makeshift mask, I'll return them, and we can go
home."

"Ok the only thing in that sentence that was understandable was
that my costume looks stupid, and I agree. I continue walking
closer to him. "I'm giving you one last chance, return the
money or go to jail, or rykers, or whatever it is that they
bring you super villains to."

"No that's a match numb nuts." It lights in his hand and the
fire spreads to the opponents hand. It burns the wood away
until the match is completely destroyed. "And that was the last
bit of fuel needed for this fire." I run toward the man,
grabbing another match from my belt, and ready for the obvious
dodge he's going to make.

Well I already win in the insults department.
His hands holding a bother match fire hurts so how about no on
that
I move to the left and quickly knock the match out of his hand
and get some distance
"Diddint you here what smokey says? Only you can prevent forest
fires."
