Max sits in a bar looking at a picture of his family as another
one of those commercials play
"What about you?" The barkeeper asks
"Excuse me?"
He points to the police badge he wears around his neck
"Why do you fight?"
"I fight...to hope for forgiveness."
Suddenly a group of men enter the bar
"Ohhh where's the women?!"
"Put the music up were here!"
These pricks have been annoying max for days typical jearsey
rich kids. The ringleader Tony,his dad was a well known mobster.
Drug dealer,smuggler. Pinnacle of the jearsy community."
They get next to him and shout for drinks
"Let me ask you a question....where the fuck are your
doughnuts?"
He had a sence of humor
He silently drinks his shot
"Come on. We know your funny maxy! You should have a talk show!
Tell some jokes about how you got your family killed or some
shit."
He slams his drink down
"I own this town amigo."
"Good line. You practice that line infront of the mirror? You
chump."
He pulls a gun out on him
"How dare you disrespect my family! You ain't got the right!"
He sees a woman looking scared at him
"Get the fuck away whore!"
"Fuck you asshole spray tanned no dick having asshole! You guido
douche!"
The man hits her in the head with the butt of the gun and time
slows as max shoots him in the chest
"Why do I fight?........redemption."

Juan recovers in the hospital wing of stark tower as his
commercial plays
"Why do I fight? Well for the good of America that's why! The
future is the future we don't need to know it!" Yolo lantern
downs a shot "that and babes!"
He turns it off and looks at himself in the mirror
He used to be like that. Fun loving not caring. But then life
slowly made him care. Wars on planets him losing people because
he wasint careful. At this point the ring was a drug all of
life's problems melt away in an instant and he has fun
But it's not real fun is it? It's just playing dress up. And
that's why he fights
Because even though he's not in a good place and the ring is an
easy way out....the future is unknown. And with everyone having
an equal chance. Anyone can do anything. Be anyone.
He fights because the unknown gives him hope....and slightly
because of the babes

Donovin works tirelessly looking for clues that aren't there. He
looks and sees those stupid commercials and shuts the tv off.
The static keeps him sane
He walks out to clear his head and sees the Las angelas skyline.
Why does he fight? The streak fights because he wants to not
because he needs to. Because he likes doing the right thing.
Because he loves meeting new people and new experiences. The
flash fights to Carry a legacy. To forge new friendships and to
carry on a promise he made to his parents. But he's donovin now.
A kid that hasn't gone to school in a month and killing himself
trying to find a seemingly uncatchable serial killer while
everyone he knows fights for something they belive in. It dawns
on him hoe much he's become like batman. Isolated alone
He's nothing but donovin now. And he dosent fight

Captain geushtapo entertains himself as he watches old footage
of adolf hitler making speeches
He sees himself to his side and smiles. He then remembers a
fuzzy memory. That of him being forced into a machine adolf
watching as he is pumped full of chemicals. Forced to train
forced to belive the speeches he spoke.
And just like that it fades like that of a dream
Why does captain geushtapo fight? His ideals.

Ulyssess looks at everyone.
"Why do you all fight?"
Everyone takes turns answering and they all look at Red Ant.
"I guess I fight for freedom of choice. Being a mutant, or
ex-mutant kinda does that to you. I want to be able to choose
which way my life leads me, and I feel others should have the
same freedom. That's why I didn't choose a side, and I also
don't dislike anyone for choosing a side. I will fight till the
end until everyone is free to choose their own destiny."
Tesla watches the news and thinks to himself about how he asked
himself this question so many times before. He walks down an
alley and thinks. He was always compared to Cole his entire
life, a man he only met once, and it was during a reality ending
fight. With all his accomplishments in his time, he is still
Tesla, clone of Cole. Even a couple weeks ago with that weird
motorcycle guy he was Tesla, clone of Cole. Tesla exits the
alley finally figuring out what he fights for. He fights to set
himself apart.

Martian
"I feel the same way. My name is.....I don't remember."
Megan gasps
"The teen titans dropped him off here at the begging of the war
at the request of donovin but he hasint spoken."
He slowly walks to ulysses
"Hi."
Donovin gets a text from barry
"Emrgency! Central city Iris'es house!"

"We have reports of red ant escaping and moving to the east
coast near Boston. Besides that not one sighting. The fighting
with Tony and his crew is costly hut effective. We've lost
several battles but we've one them when they've counted. There
running low on resources and we should be close to ending this
as they're no farther with finding ulysses than we are."
"What's the next step owlman?"
"He's not a mutant."
"Excuse me?"
"Ulysses is an inhuman different thing. And they're unique,
they're rare. In developing a device that allows us to track
them.'
"Then we can kidnap him."

The sky no longer gold begins to turn a deep red
"What's this black shit on the ground?"

ants!"
