The Return Of Barry Allen

The New York streets are as usual in a state of chaos. People
trampling over others and things being lossed. Suddenly that
Balloon that a small child let go of, the coffee the man
dropped, the biker that fell off on the road. They're all in
different places the coffee jumped back into his hand same with
the balloon. The biker is unscathed and the flash continues on
his patrol. While other heroes are preoccupied by the villans
that rob or destroy property the flash has the time to help out
wherever he can.
MIDTOWN HIGH
Right before first period can begin I get called out to go back
to the "school councillor" when I get there there's another
person this time. Tall blonde hair.
"What is this about huh? Are you guys gonna try to put me in
cuffs now? Cause you'd have to buy me dinner first."
"No,this time it's different."
"Who is this guy cole?"
"He knows."
"Oh? Great."
The man walks towards me
"Hi,my names Barry Allen, I'm the fastest Man alive."
"What?"
"You don't know this kid but a couple years ago this guy took on
vandal single handily! He dissapered we thought he'd never show
up but now! Ha its great to see you man!"
"Feelings mutual but If it's all good I just want to get back
out there you know?"
"Oh ya, wait he's still here? You can go now man."
They slam the door in front of me
"What the fu-"
A streak runs down the new York traffic filled street and stops
infront of a standard store robbery.
"Mirror master."
"Flashy!"
Mirror master and I have a uniqe relationship. He's a c list
villan at best but because of that no one notices when he's
there at the big super villany meetings. He gives me info I just
"barley" let him escape. Everyone wins.
He shoots his mirror gun at me and I dodge.
I grab him by his shirt and he whispers into my eat
"Have I got the story for you-"
Suddenly he gets thrown against the wall.
A crimson blur slowly appears until I see it.
A red and white suit with my lightning bolt on the chest. Wing
tips on the ears and a cocktail smile.
"Wow you are slow! Who are you man?"
"I'm the-"
"Hold that thought."
He hits the downed mirror master that tries to crawl away.
"Ha mirror masters still doing his thing that's cute. Aaaanny
way I'm the flash. Like the name cool. Who are you?"
"Nonono I'm the flash."
".....what?"
"Look I know you haven't done this before but."
"That name was mine. I thought of it....you?....ha what a
coincidence!"
"Ugh..you guys want to know or?"
"What's up mm?"
Through pained words mirror master says
"First...nice to see ya barry."
"Likewise!"
"...."handsome" jack lupino. He's going to be killed tonight. By
a dude just calling himself 100 suicides. He's gonna be at the
carnival...central city."
Barry runs off leaving the flash in the dust
"Shouldint you go?"
"Shut up."
CENTRAL CITY
The two arrive at the fairgrounds and see jack lupino eating at
the food court.
"Gentleman! You arrived! I expected one flash but twos better
than one right?!"
The flash dosent laugh as barry cracks up
"That is...litteratly the best joke ive heard since I've been
back in central city!"
"Really?"
"Well I've been dead for two years."
".........Kay well here's the situation, couple months back some
tweekers on a drug called Valkrie killed this chumps family and
through insane reasoning he thinks I did it!"
"So have the police-"
"That's the thing man. They don't see him. Only I can and my
boys! He's gonna kill me! Until I realized that superheroes are
a little bit better than cops-"
The bodyguards suddenly drop
"There!"
Jack points at nothing
"What is it?!" The flash says
"I see him!" Barry runs off
And suddenly two bullets are shot at jack the flash puts his
hands out and catches them
"Boom! Look at that shit!"
He looks and sees that the bullet went through his right hand
"Man...again?!"
Barry runs holding nothing in his hand
"Got him. I'll put this piece of crap in the police station."
The Flash looks and sees blood drop and hits the floor
"I told ya! Good guys can't see him÷"
"Then why could he?" The flash asks
"I don't know. Maybe he's the better flash?"
Barry laughs and nods.
After the police leave the scene the flash sees barry over a
hill.
He runs next to him and looks. Barry stands at a grave that
reads
"Iris West"
Tears stream from Barry's face
"Ha. Sorry you don't know but iris....I asked iris to marry me
right over there on that ferris wheel. I was so happy so
excited! Than that vandal stuff....I came back but
she...diddint. But I'm here and I'm going to make the most of my
return. I'm going to run. And I'd like to run side by side with
you....kid flash."
Flash smiles and becomes confused
"Wait..Wha-what the fuck!"

1 DAY LATER
"This just in a high tech train robbery is underway in keystone
city hostages have been taken and the criminals in question are
shooting at any police that come close."
The flash arrives at keystone train station where Jay Garrick is
waiting.
"Flash?"
The Flash rings the bell that signals an incoming train
"Alllllll aboard!"
"Oh..it's you. How you doing junior?"
"Oh come on! You too?"
"What? I was kinda hoping a flash with...a little bit more
experience?"
"What is so great about barry allen?!"
"He saved me kid. He shows up in my city and at the time I hung
up my hat. He insisted me to pick it up again save my city when
it was stuck in a time bubble. He made me the flash. And
you....your just a kid."
Before the flash can say anything the train speeds through the
station. The two flashes run after the locomotive.
Jay throws his hat at one of the goons that poke his head out to
shoot at the two knocking him out. The flash catches up to the
front of the train and gets to the conductor
"Is this the train to California?"
He takes out a gun and attempts to shoot him.
"Huh. Wrong train then!" The flash slams his head on the metal.
Jay runs in and looks at the control panel
"What happened!"
"I saved the day?"
"Theres a bullet where the brakes are supposed to be! This is
why you need more experience!"
"Well since your so old I thought you had enough for the both of
us!"
"There are bombs in the caboose! We need to stop this train-"
Suddenly the train grids the a stop
Outside stands barry allen
"Ow that's gonna hurt in my shoulders tomorrow what's up guys?"
"What's up is that your sidekick nearly got us killed!"
"Sidekick?"
"Don't worry Jay Everything's fine. I'm taking him under my wing
and one day hell he fit to ....tie your boots? I'm no good at
analogies."
"He better be."
Jay runs off
"He means well kid you just frustrate him. He sees your
potential and your not living up to it. Maybe you should stop."
"Huh?"
"Stop going so fast. Take it at your pace. See ya in a flash!"
The flash stands alone on the outskirts of keystone city
"That's my line."
MIDTOWN HIGH
"In other news Two flashes made a return this week stopping a
train heist that would have made off with prototype bombs near
the billion dollar range.
Jay Garrick and The flash-"
"Yes!"
"Who hasint been seen in two years saved the day!"
"Well it's just what I do. I want to help people wherever I can.
I just wish some people wouldint risk their lives sometimes you
need to let us handle it. But a big thank you to the keystone
police-"
"I don't get it! I save the day all the time and the media
crucified me but now barry this barry that!"
"Maybe a new name could help?" Says inferno
"The f-"
"Think about it. He's the flash like it or not. Maybe if you got
a New costume new name. It could help." Says Peter
"Nah nigga just pop him." Says tyler
"I agree that's the best option." Says alberto
The flashes cellphone rings and he answers
"Yello."
"Hey junior sorry about my outburst yesterday. But I can make it
up. The police gave me a tip on the location of those guys that
tried to steal the train. Want to come help me deal with this?"
"On my way Jay."
As the flash runs down the street he sees barry looking at a
dark alley in central city.
"Barry? What are you doing?"
"This is the alley where I came back. I still get confused and
when I do I come here. Maybe I can find a clue on why I'm back
in this alley? Maybe I'm grasping on straws. But I'm back for a
reason and....why are you here?"
"Jay got a tip on the combine guys. Wanna help?"
"Do i?"
Barry presses a button on his ring and he suits up
"Let's go."
The two arrive at the warehouse with Jay waiting.
"So what are the odds this is a trap?" Asks the flash.
"Almost one hundred." Says barry
"Ya probabaly." Says jay.
"Well they're not stupid enough to try to attack us head on are
they?"
Suddenly they attack head on. They pour from the warehouse and
open fire on the three. Jay gets hit by a bullet in the arm and
goes down. The flash runs and takes him to the side.
As he helps jay he dosent notice the explosion above causing the
nearby watchtower to fall onto the flash
"Ha! We did it! We killed the-"
Barry punches him in the throat and sends him flying.
The flash gets out of the rubble and runs and grabs barry before
he does something worse to the guy. Barry pushes him off and
grabs the soldier and shouts in his face.
"I! Am the flash!"

Have you ever had to live up to something? I'm sure some people
have. Had to fill the shoes of someone while everyone around you
tells how amazing the original feet were. Barry allen this barry
allen that. I guess somwone forgot the part where he enjoyed
trying to kill people.
I spring to my feet and tackle barry as the dudes face quickly
became less and less human like. Barry kicks me off and sends me
flying
"And you! Who the hell do you think you are? You're no flash
your a kid playing dress up!"
He vibrates his hand and almost sends it thorugh my chest
"Do everyone a favor and just go away."
To tell you the truth I wasint phased by the comment, I was
phased because I was already replaced,Barry allen was back.
S.H.I.E.L.D hellicarrier
Jay opens the door to see a an iron suit peel away
"Cole, We need to talk."
"What about mr. Garrick?"
"You know as well as I do. There's something wrong with barry."
"What that he's alive? What do they say about looking at a
horses mouth?"
"No,hes....different a bad feeling has come to roost."
Mirror master stands on a rooftop and shoots a nearby buildings
glass with his gun and the flash runs through.
"What's it this time?"
"What no hello? No how you doing?"
"What is it."
"Ooh I think now that the parents came home the kids scared."
"That's a horrible metaphor."
"...okay well remember our old friends who shot at you?"
"Very well."
"Well guess who has info on them? They're called the combine and
they're getting ready to make a big arms deal over near the
waterfront right now."
"Good work mm!"
The two look over and see Barry looking st twords keystone city.
"We better get to work then huh Kf?"
"That's not my name."
"Sure it isint." Barry says with a smile then runs off
The two end up in a warehouse with no light. As they walk
through the feeling of a trap seems to be more and more likely.
Suddenly a light turns on and a scale model of central and
Keystone city are revealed.
On the scaffolding above a man in full armor walks out of the
darkness
"Well if it isint the Scarlet speedster himself. And his
sidekick."
"Oh come on!"
"Whatever. Well you guys caught me! Oh no whatever will I do?"
"Go to prison you anarchistic swine!" Barry says as he runs and
immidetly gets thrown back
"Nice vocab there speedy! Unfortunately it seems that you walked
right into a force field! What are the odds?" He says laughing
"Look at the models if you'd please. Since this is central city
I know there's some theatrics to crime so I litteratly made a
scale model to show you how much of the city I control. See the
Scarlet represents you and the incorruptible! The gold
represents me and the idea that everyone has a price."
"But the entire model is gold." Says barry
"I am very aware of this yes. Anyway that's all I have for ya!
I'll let you out in about three weeks? You might be
slightly....dead though so hopefully I don't forget you!"
He grapples uo to the roof and leaves the two alone in the force
field.
"So...know any jokes?" I say
After hours of trying to get through barry gives up
"I can not belive this happened!"
"I know you might as well keep hitting yourself against the
force filed like something different is gonna happen."
"How are you calm? That scum is walking around the city right
now!"
"Yep."
I get up and put my hand on the force field
"Which is why we're gonna stop him."
Barry puts his hands on it as well
"Well we can't get out by ourselves. So how about a little team
work?"
"Fine by me k.. I mean flash."
The two focus as barry starts to get through until he's free.
"Ha there ya go! Now break this thing or something."
"Ya about that...I'm not going to."
"Wha?"
"You thought I wouldint figure it out diddint you? I know your
in with the combine."
"How am i-"
"You did nothing but disgrace that symbol since the moment you
put it on! You have no idea what it means to be the flash and
you knew it! So you were going to leave me here and do whatever
you wanted to the twin cities. But I outsmarted you. The police
will be around to puck you up... if I tell them."
Barry runs off.
"Mr. Garrick there's no point-"
"I want to be sure."
The two walk into S.T.A.R labs and they're met by lab hands
"Hello were here to see an old friend. Where's max mercury?"
A man in a lab coat walks to them
"Yes jay?"
"We may have an issue?"
"What is it this time? And no you can't use the cosmic-"
"It's barry. We-"
"You."
"...have a suspicion. And I just need some help."
"Do you have any proof that something may be wrong?"
"The way he's been acting,the way he's been fighting."
"Not like barry?"
"No...it's too much like barry."
"Ha! The old man's finally gone crazy!"
"You haven't seen it cole? Barry was reckless he charged in made
mistakes, he saw the world in black and white sure but...itsts
like he's a cartoon version. He's too clean. Does thing too
perfectly."
"So somethings wrong with barry because he's too much like
barry? Sure makes perfect sense!"
"If we bring him to you can you make sure he diddint go crazy or
anything while he was in the speed force?"
"Of course. I'll prep a lab."
"Oh come on! How the hell did this happen!"
I stare at the force field and can't even begin to comprehend
how I got here
"Barry allen is insane. He has to be I don't care ho long he's
been "dead" he's a dick!"
I close my eyes and put my hands on the field and focus. I feel
a tingle and I try to match it through my whole body. And I
slowly move forward the tingle becomes hard to maintain as I
fall to the ground outside of the bubble
"Ha that went perfect!"
I look and see the ash of what used to be my outfit inside the
field
"....shit."
CENTRAL CITY
The flash stops outside of Barry's house and kicks the door open
"Hey buddy! Wanna explain-"
The house is empty but the tv is on and I look and it's barry
giving a press conference
"I have great news and horrible news.
the combine have been completley eradicated and the corrupt
officials have been expunged. Yes I know your all very happy
but....but I'm sad to say this
. My sidekick kid flash... was killed during one of our raids."

It's a clone it must be. Some freak wearing his face he would
never do this.
The green lantern known as Hal Jordan tries to capture the
Scarlet speedster in a green ball but barry quickly escapes.
Within the tick of a second a vibrating hand goes through the
green lanterns chest.
"Our live coverage of the Rampage of the former hero known as
the flash continues as he continues to Rip down buildings,
terrorize civilans and. Wait wha-"
The broadcast cuts to a fuzzy screen as the flash stares at his
tv but dosent get up.
I have lost my powers but I've always been the flash. But
this.... I've lost my identity he's right kid flash is dead I
can't stop this...whatever is happening I'm not fast enough.
Barry allen runs through keystone city and too a construction
site and vibrates the entire building causing the workers to
fall off as he runs off.
A metal hat hits allen in the head as two other speedsters save
the workers.
Max mercury and Jessie quick stop next to Jay Garrick as barry
gets up cursing
"What in the hell do you think your doing!"
"Barry we need you to come with us. We want to help you."
I wonder what the death counter is at this point? Why do I
assume there's a death counter?
The flash looks above and sees Jay get thrown through a building
and barry running after him. The flash goes down the alley to
his left and sees it's the same one that barry reappeared from.
Max mercury jumps on top of barry as he immidetly gets thrown
off a green anvil hits his head
"Barry what the hell are you doing!"
"Saving the city you idiot!"
Barry jumps and a ball and chain gets attached to his legs but
he easily breaks it. Barry appears behind Hal and takes his ring
off and hits him in the face.
"Welcome back barry."
He turns and sees superman and wonder woman floating above him
"I know I'm loving my return."

"Well you seem to be the only one!"
Suddenly Cole tackles Barry through a wall, grabs him by the
throat, lifts him up, and starts charging up for a jet punch.
"Why Barry?"

"Why?! Look at this place without me! You people are nothing
compared to me,children dressing in costumes! I always knew you
would never be able to handle the reponsiblity of protecting the
world and you proved me right. You all have!" Barry phases
through cole and runs to the top of the building.
"I'm the hero this world needs but not the one you want to
accept! Sorry guys but change comes in a flash."
Barry runs and hits wonder woman in the chest at the speed of
light sending her flying.

"I hate when he phases through me, ugh. I have a surprise of my
own."
Cole flicks a switch and starts vibrating at a high speed.
"Barry! I've been practicing! Thank Garrick for this!"
Cole blasts off catching WW. He then charges at Barry full
speed grabbing him by the neck and choke slaming him down.
"What was that about me and the others not being able to handle
things! Where were you when your brother (and I) were fighting,
destroying NYC. Why did you return! What's wrong with you."

"You ripped my suit."
Barry grabs coles head and his molecules slow to a crawl and
barry kicks him of he presses the flash ring on his finger and a
fresh suit pops out.
"Dont...do that again. But to answer your question I'm back
because I have to be! I am the greatest hero I mean look at you
can't even handle me when I'm not trying! There is nothing wrong
with me if anything I should have done this sooner!"

mind not messing around with my biology. It feels weird."
Cole gets up, with a noticeable part of his helmet armor gone.
He points at Barry and peices of tech Coles suit left on the
ground around Barry surround him and latch onto him.
"Those are infused with speedforce thanks to Garrick. It will
vibrate with you. You're not braking out of this one. And
while your stuck there how about you look at the mess you've
made of this city in just a few seconds."

power. You want to know the truth cole? Your nothing. Everything
you do means nothing. Fury sees you as an asset a person he will
use until you die. Or better yet fail at doing the simple task
of stopping the symbiotes because as amazing as you think you
are,or powerful...you fail,you will never stop the alien that
has taken so much from you and do you know why? Because your
nothing. And you are going to let me our right now because
something is coming that is going to kill all of you do you
think I did this for no reason? This is a wake up call you
idiot!"
