if this has already been started then ill delete it but seeing
as one of the favourite topics spoken about between myself and
Kiwi was books and reading i thought i would start a thread as a
kind of online book club.

im currently reading the 7th Mitch Rapp novel, Act of Treason
(upon Kiwi's request) but i have temporarily put it on hold to
read a novel called The summer of Dead Toys by Antonio Hill, its
a crime novel set in Barcelona and the reason i chose it was
because BT are having a draw on their staff news site where 10
people get selected to provide a book review.. i thought i would
get a head start in case im chosen to provide a review:)

I'm an avid reader but I think I remember right that I'm pretty
much the only sci-fi geek in here. Mind you, I do read Iain
Banks regular fiction as well as his M. stuff.
Benny and I were talking King adaptations a little while ago
too.
Have to get some new stuff tho, owning a smart phone has
definitely cut my reading time at work. Normally just spend
20min trying to load a forum page....

Nice one Caged - did not think about a thread for this.
Currently half way through "Pursuit of Honour" (yeah - I'll
spell it right :P). Another 2 after that & I'll be done with all
the current books. Certainly hope Mr Flynn is planning to
continue this one ...

You're right Sam ... "Power of One" is pretty amazing. My best
mate's wife - her grandfather (who was a Kiwi and travelled the
world over, always sharing some amazing stories - great guy) was
Bryce Courtenay's cousin - if memory serves me correctly. Also
had some good stories to share on the man.
Also like "Four Fires" from him ... but couldn't finish "Brother
Fish".
New Jack Reacher novel out in 2 weeks time ...
