I just dont think the game is going to be much diff to this year
. Flashier cards , a new chem system , added formations etc
etc are a portent of unchanged game play in my opinion .
I think the game engine is crap .
Spending a lot of time in this game is a bad idea that can only
lead to disappointment .
I think I will look at the web app and see if it inspires me to
play or not .

oh really, see when ive got strips in packs it gives you the
option where to put them, thought that was kinda odd as if it
was a home strip then it would have to replace your home strip
and vice versa. Ill try that later when i go on and see if i
can put an away top as a home one and report back.

Was looking up FIFA14 on shopto.net and saw this in the
description. Raised a wry smile. If only it was true.

Yeah me too, thats from the standard edition where you get 4 of
the coveted packages :O I guesss there's a strong chance you
will have Ronaldo, Falcao, Ibra, Thiago Silva or equivalent
players once you've opened these?

I remember my first experience of gold packs: put a fiver on
PSN, got nobody; same again x4 and I think the best player I had
was Craig Bellamy :'(
Talking of disappointment, I was reading late last night that
the chem system has been changed around so nation links are
weaker :'( , and the same with super-strong nation/league/team
links :'(
Not had a chance to go through the changes properly but it could
mean a complete re-think in terms of how teams are built. :/

Hmmm Dutty ... Over the past 3 "seasons" of UT one of the
driving factors has been building teams - 99% of our teams are
hybrids. If that indeed changes it will lead to a mini UT
disaster for us. Together with the fact that a number of the new
formations aren't that appealing & some have changed per Beuk's
comment, UT may have a very short shelf life this side.

... also. Those types of things could have a pretty remarkable
effect on the market. You'd always want to get the extra 1 chem
"from loyalty", so you'll tend to keep players rather than
selling them off.

Same Kiwi, almost all my teams last year had 2 nation/1 dead, or
1 strong and a league link and one dead, or some variation on
those :/
To be honest I haven't had the chance to look into the changes
properly yet. Hopefully get some time over lunch to take it all
in. Fingers crossed EA have thought it through and the
manager/other bonuses act as some kind of kicker to get
individual players up to full chem ::)
