These are my thoughts on this once outlawed subject..

There is no doubt in my mind that some kind of
playing-field-leveller exists.
Whether this is good or bad is debatable.
My most successful side in FUT13 is a Bundesliga team comprised
entirely of 75 rated players.
That’s the lowest rated gold player you can get.
I also have a 75 rated Brazil side.
The teams were formed as an experiment
They play better than any other side I have built – and I’ve
built a lot – and they win more games.
They feel slick and quick, and hold their own against almost any
side I come up against.
And believe me, I am no FIFA whizz kid.
Now, whether or not this feature should exist is another matter.
In real life, football is not a science. Poorer sides know they
have to up their game against better sides, and very often do
just that. Conversely, very good sides have been known to
frequently struggle against poorer (on paper at least) sides,
due to complacency and a lack of respect, or paying a side too
much respect.
I believe that IF this leveller must exist, it should be applied
randomly – not to every game played.
Like real life.
Personally I think it is a bad idea, as it undermines what I
believe to be the primary objective of the game – to make coins,
to enable you to build better and better sides.
If you want to play Bronzes or Silvers then play in tournaments
restricted to those players. If you want to test yourself, then
play your bronze side against a TOTS filled super side – but
expect the players to outperform yours in every respect.
This doesn’t happen.
Of course that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll lose.
The other factor people often overlook is the ability of the
gamers themselves.
To me, the biggest problem in the game, is the advantage that
high pace can give you over almost any other attribute.

Accidentally went into seasons with bronze koreans last night,
drew a silver Brazil side with 2 IFs in it, cant remember his
players but no doubt streets ahead of mine. Drew 1-1 but
should have won as i missed a penalty and hit woodwork twice
during match.
Dont know if i handicapped him or he just wasnt that great. My
guess probably the former with a touch of the latter.

i also played like 4 games in div1, did not lose any, either got
1 or 2 drew, rest win...
felt more comfortable than the bronze cup itself...

yes, and the top striker is gary alexander, who scored around
9-10 in 4 games, a hattrick against a team with david luiz at
CB
gary alex has 34 pace.

My record with this team is roughly something like 2-2-12 yet my
two pace teams win about 70% of their games. I wonder why? ;)
