Must be a general issue then
If I am not mistaken, it appears more after almost every
'maintenance' , so......
EA.............. 3 years trying to run their servers properly
and still complaining about their ' Best Worst Company' Oscars
(TM )

I don't know why people continually say "they don't run their
servers properly". The issue with web based applications are
rarely a "server" related problem. 99/100 are either a
connectivity issue (could be you, could be EA, saying "well I am
able to get to X website just fine" doesn't really matter) or it
is a software application layer issue. Disconnects and lag are
mostly going to be in the connectivity bucket. The only thing
that might make sense why it would "get worse" towards the end
of the season is if they are removing web servers out of their
pools to add resources to the FIFA 14 server bank.
