About the only things of his I've not read. I'm a bargain book
buyer, Amazon or charity shops, tricky picking up long series.

Honestly I couldn't recommend them highly enough, there is a few
to get through but once you start you wont regret it. Also
without giving to much away there is an element of sci-fi to
them as well so should be right up your street.

I must admit you do have to pick and choose what you read of his
stuff because some is a load of old tripe.. particularly his
later stuff , The Cell comes to mind as being a shocker of his.

Im a big fan of him as well. Dont read many books but when i
used to i read a few of his. Watched a lot of his stuff on tv
and have liked most of what I've seen. Read the book,
Dreamcatcher and really enjoyed it, then watched the film
adaptation and altho the book was better, it was good to see how
it had been interpreted. Also enjoyed The Mist at the cinema,
liked the twist at the end. Got to mention It as well, have
seen that a good few times over the years. Hadn't heard of
under the dome tho. Dam one more that ive just thought of,
Fallen Skies, really like that too, watching the 3rd season at
moment.

Through the 1st series and then trailed off.. must admit I
wasn't particularly moved by what I saw i'm guessing it gets
batter.. So many of these new found sci-fi shows get canned
after 1/2 series it must have done well to get a third.

Yeah i think it took me a bit to get into it as well, didnt
really take to the characters immediately but as I watched more
of it, it grew on me more, so yeah would def look to pick it up
if you can find the time. I think Kiwi will vouch for it too,
it was his recommendation that made me look into it.
@hopnut, im same, lucky if i get on xbox before 11pm as well,
some nights ill manage to get a few games in earlier on say
before 7pm but most of my FUT sessions are in the 3-5 match
range.

When you're playing well and it hits 1:30am, it's a bummer to
have to hit the sack.

About the only things of his I've not read. I'm a bargain book
buyer, Amazon or charity shops, tricky picking up long series.
Don't like to interrupt them so I have to get them all in quick
succession. I'm also a proper sci-fi buff so fantasy tends to
get pushed aside, regardless of author.
Short on books atm, my phone has kind of taken over my breaks,
will look at getting into them.
You're right about some of his stuff being guff but his best
writing is so immediate and the characterisation so sharp.
Ah the Marvel films.... Fan. A few not so good :-\

Love watching films. Lovefilm was one of the best things I ever
signed up for.

Nope. The one drawback of Lovefilm... can't bring yourself to
part with the cash to go to the cinema... so it's a waiting
game.

Watched 1st 2 episodes of Orange is the new Black last night.
It was pretty good, reasonably funny and im quite hard to please
when it comes to humour. Bit of a quirky kinda show so far, it
was good, dunno about great yet, probably not living upto the
8.7 imdb rating but a bit early too judge it against that just
yet. Has potential tho and ill def carry on watching the 1st
series.

Falling Skies ... Yeah - did mention it back then that it is
slow starter. Agreed that 3 seasons (albeit 13 episodes/season)
means it's doing ok re: Nielsen ratings. S3 has been ... ok.
Enjoyed S2 more.
Ray Donovan ... not one I would recommend too highly. But then
it's only 5 episodes into it. Just watched the 5th episode today
& has some funny moments. Story could go anywhere ...
Like you Cuz ... Marvel generally gets a thumbs up regardless.
Kids opinions do help out too.

Recently watched Movies ... (past 3 months)
The Croods - ok for an animation - Nicholas Cage is scraping the
barrel!
Killing Season - De Niro & Travolta play ok roles & Travolta has
a cool beard ::)
GI Joe Retaliation - uh .... bubblegum or popcorn movie ...
Redemption - Jason Statham is THE go to ACTION man of the moment
(IMO). This is another one that does action well enough. 6.2 on
IMDB is not bad for an action movie.
42 - gotta love baseball if you want to watch this. Or racism
... your choice.
The Guilt Trip - actually a very funny movie ... got quite a few
LOL moments ...
Premium Rush - if you have time to watch something slightly
different ... enjoyable.
Olympus Has Fallen - see a couple of these on at the moment
(White House Down).
The Tall Man - a few twists in this one ... not bad.
Jack the Giant Slayer - um ... yeah ... nothing special.
A Good Day to Die Hard - yip ... hopefully that's the last one!
The Best Offer - actually enjoyed this one!
The Place Beyond the Pines - ever since Drive! I'm not the Ryan
Gosling fan. Heck ... ever since The Notebook I haven't liked
him ... therefore I've never liked him ...
Parker - Statham. 6.1. Nothing more to say.
The Last Stand - Arnie ... funny. Johnny Knoxville ... even
funnier.
Welcome To The Punch ... ok.
Continuing with Series ...
Continuum - S2 almost done. Another Sci-Fi-related one. Nothing
special and the lead actress does tend to bug me a bit.
Crossing Lines - has started pretty well. Hope the writers don't
screw it up.
Defiance - Sci-Fi ... ok.
Franklin & Bash - back for S3. Has some decent LOL moments.
Sometimes I think they ad-lib quite a bit during the show.
Graceland - newbie ... started well-ish.
King and Maxwell - a little painful given it's an adaptation
from the David Baldacci characters.
Luther - back with S3 ... good show! Idris Alba is a great
actor! See he's doing Mandela ... has nailed that voice -
spectacularly!
Suits - S3 started. Pretty good show ... for lawyers!
The Bridge (US) - like the first 3 episodes.
The Killing - S3 into Ep10 now (not watched the last one as yet)
... waiting for the next twist.
The Newsroom - mentioned before.
Under the Dome - agreed it's pretty meh!
Sheesh .... I guess I watch a bit hey ... :o ... and that's not
all the TV shows ...
