Is that the one with the Simpsons in it?

Thought the concept was a bit meh after looking at the blurb but
as ever, it was a great read. Can never enjoy watching things
taken from books I really liked.
Dreamcatcher... I swear I've seen it... I think it was good?
...Yeah, definitely seen it, enjoyed it.
There's loads of great King adaptations as it goes...
surprisingly, given the number of cack ones.
The Four Seasons ones are terrific. Can't bring to mind the
names.. Shawshank....

Its a real shame the dark tower series never got adapted it got
so close too.. That has to be the best series of books I have
read.

Shawshank and Stand by me, right up there in my top ten films of
all time I'd say.
Bloody marvellous I say.
Funny though, Stephen King as a writer... meh.. not so much.

Im a big fan of him as well. Dont read many books but when i
used to i read a few of his. Watched a lot of his stuff on tv
and have liked most of what I've seen. Read the book,
Dreamcatcher and really enjoyed it, then watched the film
adaptation and altho the book was better, it was good to see how
it had been interpreted. Also enjoyed The Mist at the cinema,
liked the twist at the end. Got to mention It as well, have
seen that a good few times over the years. Hadn't heard of
under the dome tho. Dam one more that ive just thought of,
Fallen Skies, really like that too, watching the 3rd season at
moment.

Is falling skies worth a shot then Eric? thimk I got half way
Through the 1st series and then trailed off.. must admit I
wasn't particularly moved by what I saw i'm guessing it gets
batter.. So many of these new found sci-fi shows get canned
after 1/2 series it must have done well to get a third.

Dunno how you guys have time to watch bloody telly, and play the
amount of FIFA you do.
I watch a couple of films a week, and then only manage FUT after
about 11pm at night most of the time...

I must admit you do have to pick and choose what you read of his
stuff because some is a load of old tripe.. particularly his
later stuff , The Cell comes to mind as being a shocker of his.

Currently watching Iron Man, decent film imo, quite a fan of the
Tony Stark character played by Robert Downey Jr.

Yeah i think it took me a bit to get into it as well, didnt
really take to the characters immediately but as I watched more
of it, it grew on me more, so yeah would def look to pick it up
if you can find the time. I think Kiwi will vouch for it too,
it was his recommendation that made me look into it.
@hopnut, im same, lucky if i get on xbox before 11pm as well,
some nights ill manage to get a few games in earlier on say
before 7pm but most of my FUT sessions are in the 3-5 match
range.

About the only things of his I've not read. I'm a bargain book
buyer, Amazon or charity shops, tricky picking up long series.
Don't like to interrupt them so I have to get them all in quick
succession. I'm also a proper sci-fi buff so fantasy tends to
get pushed aside, regardless of author.
Short on books atm, my phone has kind of taken over my breaks,
will look at getting into them.
You're right about some of his stuff being guff but his best
writing is so immediate and the characterisation so sharp.
Ah the Marvel films.... Fan. A few not so good :-\
Looking fwd to the new ones.
3-5 matches during the week here too. Never have time for tv
series. We get 2 LoveFilm releases a month and often end up
keeping one for like 6 weeks.

Honestly I couldn't recommend them highly enough, there is a few
to get through but once you start you wont regret it. Also
without giving to much away there is an element of sci-fi to
them as well so should be right up your street.
