Ohh I must get this, it looks right up my street. Cheers Eric
there goes another 30 odd hours of my life ;) have you ever
watched Rome? If you haven't it's definitely worth a watch! Lots
of effing and fighting and also a bit of a history lesson.. What
more could you ask for?
[/quote]
Yeah you totally have to. If you think it looks up your street,
then it totally will be. Just ticks the boxes i want from a tv
show.
If you are committed to it then you should go back and watch the
first series, Gods of the Arena i think, John Hannah is very
good in it as master of a house of slaves inc Spartacus. Might
help keep you on track as show goes on.
The first one i watched was Blood and Sand S2, saw S1 after that
up at my mates and despite have seen S2 it was still really
really good. Like you say, blood, guts, roman orgies, a
inspirational hero (I <3 Spartacus, well S2 & S3 Spartacus, not
so much S1) what more could you want.
I dont think ive seen Rome but if its similar id probably like
it. My bro tried to convince me Borgias was good but having
seen bits of one episode it didnt really appeal to me, not into
all the papal stuff, if thats the right expression, dont get it
really.

Me being me I will have to start of with blood and sand.. Are
they two separate shows? Don't quite get the duel naming
business.. Not heard of borgias I'm guessing by pupal you mean
religious pope related stuff.. Poperie has a nice ring to it
mind. Anyway yeah think I'd be with you on that, Orgies and
blood lust tend to appeal much more

So what, you skipping S1? Gods of the Arena?
yeah its pope related stuff, think its selling itself like they
were the 1st mafia back in the day, personally dont really buy
it. just lots of men dressed in religious getup, conspiring in
dark corridors of the vatican and with no doubt the occasional
murder throw in. Didnt really think it was my thing.
Trust me watch an episode of Spartacus, afterwards you will feel
like you are Spartacus. Ive been tempted to adopt his moral and
ethical approach into my very own life. Totally want to be him
:-\ 2nd and 3rd Series spartacus, not 1st season one lol.

Yeah, i believe the order is as so:
Gods of Arena
Blood and Sand
War of the Damned
Yeah you get times like that when one minute you have more stuff
than you know where to start, especially if you miss a week and
it just piles up, then you get other times where you are either
entirely up to date with stuff, and are scratching for something
to watch.
I have learned something tho and that is during these lean
periods, dont just watch any old random crap, you have to stick
to the good stuff cos if you start taking on all sorts, you will
soon get swamped again. Partly what led to giving Ray Donovan
the temporary boot.
Its a bit like UT squads, I dont like having too many on the go
at once. But the ones i do have, need to be good :-\ no idea
if im making sense or not, i know what im trying to say at
least.

I know what you mean, I have filtering process so I don't watch
too much crap, basiclly for film's I only give new stuff a go if
it has a 7.0 or higher on IMDB unless its something that I
really like the look of and for TV shows it tends to be only a
high 7.x score.. seems to work pretty well.
