This Del Torro director is pretty impressive so far..

I started watching Pacific Rim - must be honest it seemed a bit
too "b-grade" at the start. Should I really persevere?

5 best TV shows of all time:
The Wire
The Sopranos (actually just got my lady friend to watch and she
is now hooked)
Arrested Development
Cheers
Mad Men
really the 2000s changed the television landscape greatly.
Sadly one part of it was all the reality tv ... but the better
part was making a show that wasn't just some serialized cop show
or law show. HBO did a great job pushing TV as an art medium.

For me I cannot name a sitcom as one of the top 5 TV series.
Cheers was a great show. M*A*S*H* was great too. I would rather
classify them separately.
There have been so many really quality shows, that choosing a
handful will be too hard :D.

We get all the HBO stuff on Sky Atlantic and although I don't
watch it all they certainly make some varied and interesting
programmes

Watched Sopranos in it's entirety in a couple of months, if
that. Great show. Chris and Paulie in the snow was one of the
funniest things I've seen.

same here, lotr trilogy, all star wars series, matrix trio,
hobbit... a bit geeky : ) but i love them...
well we got inspired for our daughters name from game of
thrones, so above should not come as a surprise ;)

Gonna update this soon but i watch everything. I watch tv
series more than anything else on tv now, well especially in the
football close season.

oh yeah about that.... :/
Can add Ray Donovan to that list as well. Tho have to say the
1st episode didnt exactly have me gripped and dying to see the
next episode.
