Rewards were once again very kind to me this morning. Packed my
third icon on Fifa 19, this time untradable 88 Lehmann to go
with my prime Van Nistelrooy and my long since departed 88
Shearer. The chances of this must be incredibly low. Haven't
spent a penny on packs, either with coins or FIFA points! (apart
from bronze packs!). This has all been earned packs and SBC's!
Also packed a few IF's, the Portuguese CM, another worthless one
I can't remember, and a 7 match loan IF Kante. All this was from
Division 5 rank 1.
Only opened my red Futchamps players from the weekend league,
getting Donnarumma and Mata as my reds, so not too bad. Still to
open the packs.
My thoughts on Lehmann are that with the uncertainty around Icon
SBC's, I may as well put him in the Icon 3 upgrade that expires
tomorrow and get a very cheap prime, either Zola, Hagi or Giggs.
May use Lehmann for a few games tonight and see if he's as bad
as Schmeichel was last year! Maybe icon keepers can stop the
finesse shots from just outside the box? I wouldn't bet on it!

Turns out the "worthless inform" I packed earlier was a Europa
League Lo Celso card! Have also upgraded my Lehmann to a prime
Hagi. Still have 8 packs to open.......

Could only stomach four this evening. First game, lost 6-1 to a
top 100 player. Lovely way to start. Was of course an expert in
hitting finesse shots from outside the box, mostly whilst facing
away from the goal and hit first time. A complete write off and
a perfect advert for how broken the game is.
Second game was a 50/50 game that could have gone either way,
but lost 2-1. Next two were easy, a first half 2-0 rage quit
where I absolutely battered the guy. Last game I won 3-1 and was
another 50/50 game I could gave easily lost. Gave away a goal
from a comical series of bounces from kick off but scored two
lucky goals from volleys from the edge of the box, one from a
corner where his goal keeper punched straight to my player, and
another weird one his keeper saved but fell to another player on
the edge of the box with the keeper way out of position to block
the shot. A third nice goal won it.
As ever, playing on a Saturday just seemed like everything was a
bit off. No doubt it will be better tomorrow, but although the
game can be enjoyable, it just send to get worse year on year
with BS and cheap tactics.

Got to Gold 3 at 14-11 and should have stopped but played all my
games and ended 15-15. At one stage I was 9-3.
Was a totally unenjoyable experience and I just hope that a
patch will come out of nowhere and fix this game, but know full
well that it won't. Never conceded so many goals straight from
kick off. The game is all about getting into an area just
outside the box and finessing. 90 minutes of that over and over.
Can never remember a fifa where the variety of goals is so low.

that is the whole issue and teh reason I disconnected from the
game again. The whole game you are trying to prevent that from
happening as it is 99% goal. Boring!

What makes it worse is that tackles have a huge tendency to
bounce into that area, so there's often nothing you can do to
stop it. Even having a defender right in front of the shot often
results in it going perfectly through their legs and right into
the top corner.
There's one thing they could easily do to stop this problem. All
settings online to be semi assisted. They don't automatically go
in on that setting, and the stupid ones when they are facing in
the opposite direction would be killed instantly. I've used semi
assisted for years and years on shooting but this year it's a
big disadvantage, but I refuse to swap back.
Of course EA would never do this especially with Christmas days
away and a big influx of new players to milk FIFA points out of.

Packed Tete and Sommer as my red players on Thursday. No games
yesterday and only two today. First was plagued with ridiculous
button delay, and just couldn't compete and lost lost 3-1.
Second game was an easy 3-0 rage quit win against the worst
weekend league player I've ever played. Had enough after that,
will probably only play to six wins tomorrow, really can't be
bothered.

Ended up getting to gold 3 again. Servers were terrible mid
afternoon and I was on the verge of stopping at 6-7. Then
suddenly connection improved, I started winning easily and got
to 14-10. Stopped for ages, went back on late and had seemingly
forgotten how to play the game and ended up 15-15 again. All
stupid stuff was happening and was conceding constant injury
time goals and even managed to lose somehow in the 125th minute
of my last match with two minutes added on.

Fifa is pretty woeful. Sometimes it's great, but the majority is
simply bad.
Just more disappointing, day by day.

Thanks! Sad what this game has become really.
My rewards gave me the 86 Lala and 81 Dwight Gayle.
This weekend I really couldn't be bothered. Played two games on
Friday losing the first in comical fashion. The usual mess of my
AI goalkeeper giving away a penalty after the ball was cleared
from the box and random finesse shots that turn your keeper into
a cabbage. Second game I conceded the most ridiculous goal from
a corner. Under no pressure at all my play miscontrolled
horribly and gave away a corner. From the corner, my goalkeeper
and two defenders all collided, and fell over. Three minutes
gone and 0-1. The opponent shushed, and immediately had 5 at the
back and everyone as deep as possible and all behind the ball.
Luckily he was useless and I ended up putting five past him.
Played another game this morning and dominated, but conceded to
two finesse shots from the usual place with opponents weak foot
and 1-0 had become 1-2. Luckily I managed to put three goals in
in the final ten minutes to win 4-2. A hattrick for the Futmas
Delli Alli and one for Dwight Gayle.
Out for the day so two wins and one loss will not become Gold 2
or 3 this week! The game is in an absolutely terrible state now.
Opponents have no interest in getting into your box at all. Just
hit timed finesse shots from 25 yards with anyone on any foot
and you'll score as the fully assisted shooting will put it in
more often than not.
I refuse to take the semi assisted shooting off and play like
that.
