Managed my standard Gold 3 finish. Had games in hand and could
have made Gold 2 but left myself too many games to play tonight
so that was enough. If I hadn't have won the first five in a row
tonight I would have struggled to make it though.
Benz is going to Sydney as well @kiwi. Have seen his invitation
in another place. I've played him a few times. Is a very good
player, and is a shame that we have always played with some sort
of lag, button delay but him being in Korea it's to be expected!
He is playing on Xbox for the weekend league so could be a
potential opponent.

Yeah - we came up against him & we had some messages. He was
surprised that he was in the AsiaPac servers & thought I had
said we had good connection. Never was a was a laggy 0-2 defeat
for the kid.
It will actually be good to see another forumer there - a first!

Only managed silver 3 this weekend, so will have to qualify via
the tournament again this week :-\
Aubamayang has a massive asset as expected but has meant the
team had to change significantly to accommodate him.
It looks a bit of a mess and dare I say a bit "sweaty" but wow!
Does it perform well.

Costa at CM was a bit of an experiment and felt a tad wrong but
he was incredible! Had him set to get forward and free roam and
he was just dominating the midfield. Basically filled the gap
that pogba had left behind. His defensive abilities are a bit
lacking but the 90 odd strength and aggression make up for it.
Renato-sanches has also been a revelation. He was initially a
place holder whilst I deliberated on spending the coins to bring
in Vidal. He really is a top class CM absolutely everywhere on
the pitch he reminds me of the IF Cambiasso of FIFA 11.

So ... rewards out and still the kid was a bit gutted about 2
disconnects .. "robbed of Top 100" ... it was our connection :D.
Anyway, still, another hefty 380k return! Definitely helped out
with the fact that discards IF's are 250% normal price & still
stuns me that Vardy is 26k ... the NIF :o :o.
Best was IF Lallana (sold for 58k).
Guess you can't get the best IF every single week!

I had to make do with Pastore and Reina from my Gold 3 packs.
Looks like this week I'll be going with a mostly French 4231(2)
team. SBC Gignac with Ben Arfa behind at CAM. Played 5 seasons
games the last couple of days as a test. My loan Ben Arfa scored
6 goals and Gignac got 5 goals and seven assists. Also multiple
goals came from LM, and the two CDM positions. The weekend
league will be a totally different animal than smashing five in
the first half to make them rage quit, or 7-0 dominations!
Bought a permanent Ben Arfa during rewards last night and looks
like my IF Nzonzi and SBC Kurzawa with be on the left side. Not
100% sure yet and need to flesh out the squad a bit, with maybe
a couple of CB's. Probably Varane and Laporte.

Ben Arfa is great in this formation. I've been messing with the
same formation and having a lot of success. The Attacking AI of
the LM/RM is so much better than previous year's. As for French
CBs I had a lot of success with Perrin with a shadow, preferred
him to Koscielny to be fair. TOGS Sidbe is my right Back of
choice in my French team now (right footed LB) but then sagna is
a solid choice too
Depending on Budget but I can definitely vouch for TOTGS LM Or
IF RM Ousmane Dembele he's been great for me. His TOTGS was
keeping Reus out of the starting 11 the past few Day's. Feels
excellent on the ball and always love a player with a 5 star
week foot. His upgrades have been huge! Managed to Bag the 84
for 107k after rewards last night so will report back once I've
tested him out a bit.

First evening down ... kid is 6-0 on main account with
super-duper team.
Then switched to the other "Pack Only" team. It's not a horrible
team at all - Firmino & HBA as strikers & Oscar at CAM
(UUuurgghhH!), Kante (packed him today!) IF Lasne (packed him
too) at RCM on 7 chem & Wilshere make up the midfield. Smalling
& Mustafi as CB's & Azpi & Valencia as fullbacks, with Trapp in
goal.
Kid won the first & I won the 2nd. But ... came up against a
decent player with a strong team ... 1-4 quit. I then tried to
save some fitness cards and played with the 2nd team. This is a
4321 with Nolito - Wilson - Salah, Fernandinho - DDR - Parolo,
Shaw - Cahill - Manolas - Hysaj & Karnezis.
Kept my own till around the 70th min - 1-1. Likes of IF Gameiro
and Suarez then finally got another, so record is 2-2 on this
account. It's hard ... very hard!
Anyhoo ... enough for one day. First day of leave too ;D

Another impressive weekend by the kid - 38-2 & at time of
writing, 11th in the world with 24 hrs to go. Possibility to end
Top 25, but there are already some finished with some decent
skill ratings.
He was 12-2, before putting together the 26-win streak. Some
tough games in there too - one was a 0-2 comeback win (3-2).
The kid had 23 rage quits this weekend ... huge amount! 8 more
than any other week.

A little bit better than I'm doing!
I have a couple of mainly French 4231(2) teams that I'm
rotating, although both teams contain SBC Gignac, SBC Kurzawa
and Ben Arfa. The teams are both performing very well. Gignac
and Ben Arfa are superb in this formation and I never in a
million years would have expected 4231(2) to become my favourite
formation. In the 19 games I've played so far I haven't come up
against it once!
So far I'm 12-7, but it could have been so much better. A couple
of penalty losses and very dubious last minute goals. I was 5-5
at one point but won seven out of nine last night. Wasn't just
winning but winning well. Actually smashed a few people with
very good teams. Will see how much time I get to play later.
Feel I could get up to Gold 1 but will most likely settle for
Gold 3 if I even get that much time to play.
