think i said it earlier but, the additions to fut in the past
few years , are quite good i must admit.
first the draft, price caps and now the sbc and the WL ...
without spending real money, you can really make millions if you
are a good player.
and so buy whomever you want ...

Yeah OT ... do agree. Definitely something in there now & more
than just playing the game. Some will say ... finally!
Decided today that we're going to try something different ...
Pack Only. Over the years I've heard this and honestly thought
that people were nutty to do so. Given that we have the main
account, it sounds like something to try. So, created a brand
new account & club, bought 1 batch of 4.6k FP and got going.
There were Prime Gold Players Packs available - 6 of them
yielded a Ben Arfa, IF Dante.
Kid used 300 of the remaining 400 coins to play a draft - won
that and got 2 x Rare Gold packs & 1 Premium Gold pack - with
Gotze in there. Sold off IF Dante as he would really not fit in
with the other players, and the kid used that to buy another FUT
Draft. Once again he won that and got a Rare Players pack - 4
keepers, which is handy.
Been tracking this all - thought that would be fun too. Will
post that at some point.
Anyway, after that initial FP purchase & 2 drafts later, this is
the team we can field:

Ochoa as a keeper doesn't have the best stats, but has long
throw and 87 Acceleration!
Must say that draft makes this quite a different challenge. Most
PO challenges that I've seen, have either had to spend plenty
FP, or spend all coins on packs. Now, spending coins on Draft
means your rewards are generally better than 2 x Premium Gold
Packs.

So ... it was a good day today!
Initially Ruffier was the top-rated player so not sure what to
expect. When Vardy showed up if was "list as quick as you can"!
Managed to sell off for 469k :o :o. Insane amount of money for
an 84-rated first IF!!!
Also got Brozovic (99k!), Gayle & Zaha (approx 45k each!) and
even the Ruffier went for 54.5k. Not a heck of a lot in the 3
Jumbo player packs - Ice Kongolo, Alderweireld, Navas and 2x
Banega cards (nice 5.5k each :D) - but reckon if we had to
discard it would be an additional 100k for all that.
Overall, a little over 1M coins earned this week! Nuts!

Wow!!!! Going?
I started with two losses this week. First on penalties vs a 5
at back bus parker and the second in a 3-2 loss that I should
have won. Went to work and yesterday night played another 4
getting 3 wins to put me 4-3. Not got any time to play today so
will be a scramble tonight and tomorrow night to play the 30 or
so more games I'll probably need to get to Gold. Not sure two
marathon sessions tonight and tomorrow are what I really want
though. Shall see.
I have again gone for an Italian/Serie A 4231(2) team, with IF
Balotelli, SBC Giovinco, De Rossi and SIF Donnarumma starting
every game. The hundreds of fitness cards I have from bronze
packs more than takes care of them!
The SBC cards of Buffon, De Rossi and Parolo have not tempted me
though. De Rossi would be great, and Parolo is in the squad,
rotating at RCDM, but I'll stick with the NIF's and keep my
coins.
Giovinco and Balotelli win games on there own. Both capable of a
moment of brilliance or a crazy finish from a quick half chance.
100% the difference in a good few games the past two weeks.

Yep - initially the kid was thinking if the cost is that high
then why go. But, the initial mail (I somehow skipped past it),
means it's pretty much all expense paid. With him only being 4
months past 18, I'm going to request to be the guardian so
hopefully they'll cover my costs too. Will still go if they
don't, it's only a 3-hr flight to Sydney from Auckland.

Yeah, I'm happy with the Buffon one - specifically because I had
the untradeable Sandro & Pjanic, and didn't have to overpay for
Bonucci, Miranda & Handanovic.
Parolo - min 3 IF's, hmmm ... it's a good looking upgrade -
possibly almost a SIF, but he's only 84-rated. We're also not
using many Serie A teams so it's a bit of a waste for us. DDR is
simply a no-go & even the other 3 is being passed on - don't
quite want a 500-600k IF Aub, that's untradeable!

The price of IF's could be interesting come 3rd of January when
FUTmess ends!
