my 1st guy, normally a mid, then switch and semi contain with
the 2nd, a goalside defender, often stepping away from them a
bit so I could tackle them after an inevitable skill move. If
that didn't do the job on its own, I'd switch again and move for
the ball with the 1st guy or a 3rd one even, depending on the
switch.

I've got no use for OR I switch to the 2nd guy as he helpfully
steps out of a goalside position. The 3rd panic switch is then
uselessly random and followed by another 5 panic switches to
static defenders while the dribbler casually strolls directly
ahead and scores.

with the right stick, something else I've never done.

stupidly anticipating the attacker continuing fwd in a straight
line and stepping out of the way before I get to him. I get
goalside but the attacker turns, so I need to switch, boom, CB
steps neatly behind whoever I just switched from. 2 defenders
standing on a sixpence with a nice gaping hole in front of goal
right next to them...

:D
Well, I have found the best form of defence to be not letting
them have the ball in the first place.
Something else that is of course, more difficult in this game
Overall, this is a good game I say.
It's just that damned uber-pressure... It's a farce.
Hoping that I can make it work against them using the TPS top
tips.

Good to hear. First impressions were very good actually.
Tempted to keep him. Before i pulled him i had been looking at
getting Isco for the CAM role. Have you tried Isco?[/quote]
Yeah - pulled him in one of our early packs and decided to keep
him, given our fantastic his SIF was last year.
They are quite similar (yep - that's the obvious statement :D)
with Iniesta having the advantage on more passing/defending
whilst Isco has the better shooting. Again, obvious when looking
at stats & this does show in-game.
Having both in one team makes it hard - especially when playing
a 3-man midfield & them next to one another. Even if the third
guy is very defensive, it's an unbalanced midfield. So, you need
to choose one or the other.
If you're looking for the CAM to focus on creating space, killer
through-ball, etc ... Iniesta. If you're going to get close to
goal with him and shoot, then Isco is better. Thinking back, we
had better performances from Iniesta where he was behind 2
strikers - less reliance on his shooting. But, now playing
433-4, Isco feels better as the CAM. Isco's woeful defending
stat also makes you want to use him there, rather than the CM
position.

@Cuz, you'll know when you face the hyper high pressure! I went
through a terrible spell of it but last night and this morning
didn't face it and had some decent matches.

Same here. Spent two nights without any sin of it, then the
next two sessions were riddled with it.
Really is a decent game without that.

So ... prices :o ::)
Interesting to see this on FUTBIN - "IndexGold" - this is the
'daily' chart for XB1 and PS4:

Haven't really been checking so not sure if there have been
100k/50k packs - can see the 25k ones now. That is a bit of a
drop! And this BEFORE Black Friday.

Holy cr@P! Prices on XB1 falling even harder now!
Basically this 'Index Gold 100 players', has dropped even
further! XB1 is down to '42.50' - basically another 12.8%. In
the last 12 days, that makes it a 51.7% loss in these players.
The loss on PS4 is basically the same - 51.8%.
Started selling off a bunch of players, but, taken massive hits.
Had Reus for about 3 days - 120k down to 96.5k. Joys!

Further to this pricing ... I remember the first time we tried
James Rodriguez - he was around 86-90k, Kroos was around 40k &
Modric 65k.
Now, you can get all 3 x 87-rated Real Madrid players, for under
80k.
A mere 2 months into the game and we have yet to see a MAJOR
promotion like Xmas specials, or an event like TOTY.
By January, there are going to be some massively OP teams!

Pretty crazy. I'm resigned to keeping this team, I lost 20k on
James in a week. You can imagine what I'd lose on Kroos after 60
games with me.
I don't care tho. I'll spend what I earn, fill in cheap players
around those it's not worth selling and maybe change formation
occasionally.
But. Bought James for not much more than the cost of Modric. If
I sold him now, the difference between the 2 is still the same.
That can apply all over.
Actually Kiwi, glad for your shout on futbin, been looking at
that most days. Interesting is that higher value players like
Modric have continued a very slow dip over the last few days but
lower ones like Dybala, have been more steady.
In sort of a quandary, my funds are slowly growing and by the
end of the week, with a further crash, I may have enough to get
Modric and IF Perisic for the A team... OR, in a couple of days
I can get Tevez and Dybala for the B. Latter will obviously have
more impact but might be a bit of a waste on a team that will
remain average elsewhere.
Possibly this wknd will be better served by picking up the
higher value players that may have a slight recovery for a
couple weeks after.

Personally I thought that we wouldn't see the details around
prices ever again, after the "2015 Coingate".
FUTBIN has taken it quite a bit further and even though I
primarily still build a team in FUTHEAD - I will re-build in
FUTBIN to get a more accurate price on the squad. But, must add
that FUTHEAD also has pricing that is a few hours old - at least
gives you a rough estimate.

Not even looked at FUTBINs builder but I did notice they get IF
in games quicker than FUTHEAD. I've used the latter for building
forever, it's like a 2nd home when I'm FUTing.
I did clock the squad pricing on there recently. I've had my
'projected' AFC Cuz side on there for several days, 1st time
they were 188k, I look just now and it's saying 165k :O
Don't think I'm going to be able to resist pumping more coins
into them this wknd, Tevez will have to join CD Cuz at a later
date...
