I switched from 4-5-1 to 4-3-3. 4-5-1 just wasn't working for
me.. 4-3-3 is at the moment with this:
HTML http://snag.gy/yTQyc.jpg
Am rotating between Payet, Fekir and Valbuena in that central CM
role. Just can't decide who is better.
Anyone used Ben Yedder? His stats look tasty for a 78 NR, as
backup for KB. Have been using Gameiro as back since the start,
but very uninspiring, despite some decent stats.
If not Ben Yedder, then other suggestions for a backup French
ST? Martial? Giroud (has scored a lot against me)? Remy?
Menez?

Try using Germain (see my team) he got 6 in 6 now. Lethal guy
although I am unsure how he will perform as strike rin 433.
On the CAM role: IF Ben Arfa has been immens for me...

So this is the slightly changed Team #2 ...
HTML http://i.imgur.com/6Zx3Kdc.jpg
Basically Morata, Hernanes, Cillessen are packed, Bellarabi cost
9.7k and the rest - 6.9k. Futbin calculates this as a 17.35k
team and they were unbeaten in the past 6/7 games - actually,
won every one of those played in the last 2 nights. Bender is
amazing as the single CM - wins a crazy amount of tackles/makes
interceptions.
Calhanoglu has 8 in 15 - probably not the best haul -
could've/should've done better given he takes all the FK's too.
Even Wendell has 2 goals in 10 games. :D. If there's any
disappointment, it's been the guy that costs 50% ... he's rarely
featured in the games.
On the other team, Tevez continues to score - 125 in 117.
And yes Glad ... this is quite the formation! Given how easy it
is to hybrid too, this one will be around for a while I think!

This thread is making me miss 451.
Anyway, this is my main team atm, it's facing agonising changes
with the small cash influx from todays sales. Been umming, awing
and arghing over what to do with it. Typically, the most
interesting changes I can make involve swapping out some of the
players I like the most.
Thiago at CF is a lovely luxury, terrific passing, beautiful
dribbling, neat enough finishing but light as a feather. Xabi
Alonso's passing is miraculously good, excellent touch and not
too shabby in the tackle, his almost total lack of pace just
makes him more alluring to me. Junuzovic has been a wonder, he
has pretty much everything and covers every blade of grass.
Firstly, because he's cheapest and I can try him now, Gundogan
in for Juno. Real headscratcher this one. A) That H/M WR could
be a risk next to Xabi. B) Juno, 79 ovr, has higher total stats
:?
Looked at Gundogan for ages tho, was interested in him for the
451 I had, so for now, he's the change.
(Came with Engine on, I have a Gladiatorrrrrrr card I fancy for
him)
HTML http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj538/cuz05/ASquad_zpsuugj3d7c.png
So now I have 33k left and need to earn a touch more for the
next wave.
The next step is probably Toni Kroos at CF. Another 5k needed.
Liked his TOTY a whole ton, whenever that was, and he remains
the scorer of my most spectacular strike on FUT. Very attracted
to his passing, shot power and the extra physical edge he has on
Thiago. Also makes the whole hybrid more balanced in terms of
the why of it.
But then. I just discovered a loan Lahm in my club that I forgot
about. If Gundogan doesn't offer much over Juno then ditching
him and bringing Lahm in for Alonso permanently is an option.
Not too keen on all 3 mids having high defence tho... Still,
it's an experiment I can try for free. Brucie bonus.
Finally, the all eggs in one basket approach. Goodbye Thiago,
hello Iniesta. Need to earn another 15k or so for this one so
could be looked at further down the line. Would mean selling
Thiago and potentially having to buy him back, which I'm not
keen on. Also means Gundogan for Juno is a chemical necessity.
And it gives the team 2 ugly red links (tho no detriment to the
chem). Still a pretty attractive option...
Could just upgrade Matip and the GK but that seems a little
boring and both are decent already.
Looked at some options for Raul Garcia on the left of midfield
but he's just too unique to part with. Very powerful shot, top
notch short passing, strong as an ox and that M/H WR to balance
Nolito, Moreno and Xabi.
Volland is another obvious swap out given his lack of goals (tho
he has a fine dribble and stinging left foot shot), but again,
he's pretty unique. H/H WR and genuine muscle makes him useful
in supporting the midfield and full back when they break
forward, as well as swapping to him on opposition kick offs to
run in and remove the ball from insta-dribble lunatics. Finally,
he's great in the air against opposing full backs and is really
my only option for long goal kicks, he wins most of them. A
tactic that brought me a hugely unlikely route one goal with
this lot last night. So he's kind of like a very advanced, very
decent full back :/
P.S. I like this team a lot, why the hell am I changing
anything?!

So, for now, the investment is complete. I present to you the
very best, most enjoyable, non-winning team fake money can buy.
HTML http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj538/cuz05/ASquad_zpstapzczxm.png
Can't be overstated how bizarre this team has been so far.
Possession- 95% brilliant.
88 short passing on Lahm and Gundogan, 92 on Kroos, 85 on Koke
(89 on his either/or replacement Raul Garcia), 80ish on full
backs/wingers, even the CBs have 77. Seems consistent too,
possession % with this lot is often in the 60s. Then they'll get
5 funny minutes every 100 or so where they're all idiots, pretty
good ratio by my standards. Overall tho, their short passing
game is absolutely top notch.
Chance creation/shooting- 50% impressive, 50% WTF.
With the very strong passing on offer, opportunities can be
created for almost everyone. Long shooting is also very good.
Finishing is not so great, I either come up against a brick wall
where there's no space anywhere, have loads of shots saved/hit
the post or suddenly, rarely, actually get the goals the build
up play deserves.
Koke has only had 2 games but 1 goal and 1 assist was positive,
him and Gundogan pushing on make a lot of difference to the
penetration in midfield.
Defence- 80% impenetrable fortress, 20% invisible f**kwits.
Martinez 1 on 1 is very, very good, but he can't catch anyone if
they're past him. Matip helps cover with his touch of pace, he's
also very tall. Pizsczek's defensive WR helps out a lot. Gaya is
new but his pace is an asset tracking back. Lahm is amazingly
good, catches people, takes the ball off them for fun and covers
loads of ground, once he has it he uses it sooo well. Oh wait,
suddenly someone has ridden 7 tackles, a striker has found
himself all alone and onside in the final 3rd somehow and Sommer
has headbutted the ball into his own net....
Strength all round is decent, CBs are obviously powerful but
Volland is in the 80s too. Nice 70s on a few others. Lahm is not
noticibly weak, due to his terrific technique. Only Konop and
Koke seem occasionally lightweight.
Ball control is universally great outside the back 4 (and
they're not too shabby). The dribbling, tho not off the charts
on anyone, is good enough all round that I can generally take 2
or 3 touches with them all, even against high pressure, enough
to utilise the excellent passing.
In short, the football I've been playing with this team has been
that good that I'm completely mystified as to why I've been
having such a hard time getting results. Dominating games
without scoring, dominating the scoring only to randomly concede
for a few minutes and very occasionally, letting in loads of
goals despite playing an even match.
Currently feel like blaming the goalkeeper.
(An actual goalscorer might, just might, help)
(so might learning how to consistently defend well)

Of course, now I've posted that, I've started considering a
formation change and bringing in an actual striker....
The wonder of this hybrid, I'm seeing as I switch stuff about on
FUThead, is that the links work really well in array of
different formations. Looked at a few 433s and now 451, can make
them all work in some way, depending on who I pick up front and
who I decide to keep in midfield. Very glad they ditched
formation cards and added the loyalty/manager bonus, that helps
circumvent some position changes.
(just picked up Aduriz for a 451 experiment that sees Gundogan
dropped. 451 got me to Div 6 on a straight promotion run so...)
(Now thinking Rodrigo instead, he's always good...)

Every time I post it, I change it. I think this might be the
team for the season tho....
HTML http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj538/cuz05/ASquad_zpscie15ws9.png
Undecided as to whether I'll get Bellarabi or Leno at the end of
the season. Volland is pretty good and makes a lot more sense in
this formation but Bellarabi would probably add more threat at
the expense of some strength and box to box aggression. Volland
would be better if he had Gundogan running off him inside,
rather than Kroos looking for the run from him. Bellarabi would
likely bring some more crossing potential for Aduriz as well.
Sommer just seems a bit w*nk at times, tho his kicking is really
good.
Oh yeah, and I swapped my teams LBs over. Gaya is a very quick,
very handy attacking full back so gives the 4231 some symmetry
with Florenzo at RB, plus there's 2 CDMs for cover there. Games
here is a fine defender, wins headers, has great strength and
pace is passable for a M/M WR. Helps keep that side a bit more
solid with the space those attacking midfielders can leave.
