Ah ... should've mentioned him. In terms of best value for
money, for more marquee signings ... this IS the guy! CDM-CM-CAM
... he can do it all, and does it incredibly well. Possibly a CF
too, but might be a bit low on the finishing side for some.
An absolute 'must-buy'!

Right then. That 4321 was due to be upgraded and it was, still
giving me hassle so I continue to experiment.
1st thing was to add Moreno at LB. I like him so far. Small and
weak but very quick, really good at bringing the ball forward,
his WR and pace get him back as well. Then a couple decent
little trades meant I could add Martinez, Matip and Piszczek all
at the same time. Little unsure about Martinez, not his slow
pace, he just seems positionally airy somehow and doesn't
consistently win the high balls. So that's the back 4 anyway.
They obviously needed more help than the one in the 451, which
copes alright when the midfield all decide to wander up front.
So bought Koke and Xabi Alonso to try out. Xabi replaced Thiago
in the middle, hoping for defensive/playmaking qualities, and
then I put Koke on the left of the 3, to see how complementing
Xabi with 2 H/Hs would work out.
Not so great really. Xabi is good if people run straight into
him and his passing is good. His amazing 33 pace wasn't too much
of a bother when he was sat in the right sort of area. Problem
was that he would still wander forwards. When that happened,
Koke will get back but he was completely ineffectual at actually
getting the ball. Very good at letting it through his legs. I
also couldn't really tell who was who down the entire left side
of the pitch. Varying physique and boot colour on the original
lot was very helpful.
Then I tried Thiago back in with Koke and Juno. That was a
disaster.
The 3 I started with, Raul Garcia, Thiago and Juno were really
not too bad off the ball so I decided to just go back to that,
selling
Koke and Xabi.
There's been bright spots. Juno continues to impress and Choupo
(ironically now temporarily dropped), has scored 12 in 19 for a
struggling team, so he's been pretty good. Koke was impressive
going forward.
Well then I had a brainwave and I heard good things in here
about this formation. So I bought another Xabi and dropped my
top scorer.

Will see how this goes when the Star Wars Beta expires. Team
will also fit together nicely in 4231(2) so I might try that as
well.
Gonna get IF Nolito very soon, he's kinda crazy cheap.

Here is the solution to FIFA performance woes. NEW BUDGET TEAM!!
I had the thought that if it's too frustrating to build tons of
bronze teams but not get enough game time to get into them and
ultimately frustrating to spend a lot of time and effort putting
all my coins into a pair of gold teams, then I'd take the bronze
approach to golds. Eureka!
So, finding the best/most interesting of a bad bunch and lobbing
them together. Over and over again. Here is the 1st of my
(projected) 500 budget super teams, Totti the key figure. With
all necessary consumables/manager to achieve at least 9 chem,
the cost of putting this together came to 12.5k. I set myself a
rule that all players should be 80 rated or less, unfortunately,
the French have no rare gold GK at 80 and the NR guy looked too
hideous on the page.

Now ... when I see a team like that on the screen, I'd be a bit
more worried than seeing the Ronaldo's, Robben's, Legend's, etc.
I'd just be hoping the keeper was crap ...
Oh ... on the keeper, why not Perin. At times he's been insane
against us - (and he's the same rating :P)!
