there must be something wrong with match making. I even have to
wait first round Gold Cup. Bronze was difficult last year too,
it is such a shame they still haven't implemented a bronze
seasons. Think more people would play bronze
I didn't play so I actually had a good night ;D

hey guys, only had time for a few games myself last night and
.... lost them all. My own fault, combination of opponents
being good and playing when i was distracted by other things, so
can't really argue with the results, albeit still disappointing.
Turned what had been a positive start to a div 5 campaign of 2
wins and 1 loss, into 2 wins and 4 losses. So looks like
survival is only target left this season.
So new signings, first impressions key and all that right? Well
Higuain, bought him for 24.5k on Wed between 6-7pm. Just
hasn't got going at all, no goals in about 3 games. You try to
give them realistic expectations and not to single handedly win
matches but just have not seen it from him so far. Will give
him tonight but don't see myself changing formation to
accommodate him if that is part of the issue. Or maybe i
should try him in 2 up front, i'll decided later, not a good
start for him though.
Bought Alex Sandro as well and the jury remains out on him as
well currently. But obviously superstar strikers are under a
bit more pressure than a somewhat expensive LB.
Bought IF Slimani too for 15k, played one game and he seemed
pretty good, sharp on the ball, but the tone for the evening had
already been set.

Hmmm ... the joys of FUT!
Finished our games tonight - played the season in D2. Did change
the teams though - or should I say 'added to the existing team'.
Did not end up using the IF Andre team. Rather chose to sell off
Aguero & buy Pogba. Will post the team in the other thread.
Anyhoo ... Ended on 4-4-2 for the evening. Needed the win in the
last game, but literally had the worst game in front of goal -
in a long, long time! Shots - 6 in 14, but in essence it was
dismal. It was so bad that even a pass across, skimmed past the
post. Lost 0-3 to 5 shots on goal. I have no problems conceding
the goals, but the fact that Jovetic was missing absolute
sitters - simply dumbfounded.
Anyway ... hopefully another attempt at it this weekend, as we
are enjoying the formation!

This x1000. I really want to get on and have a good run with the
bronzes, I'm really enjoying playing with them. Can't do more
than 2 games without an interminably dull and seemingly endless
wait for a game. I give up after 5-10 minutes and go back to
golds. UT13 was just brilliant in comparison, it would happen
that you'd end up stuck on a final but as far as I remember, you
could play bronze v bronze all evening with only a few breaks.
Got to the bronze final last night, after a terrific semi. Had
to persevere to get that game, my 1st of the evening with the
bronzes, then had to give up looking for a final opponent. Sad
panda.
Semi final was actually one of the best matches I've had on 16.
Won it 2-1 after going 1 up then being pegged back. He had the
shots, I had the possession. We both had a decent amount of
really good goal scoring chances and were pretty evenly matched
overall, tho both with quite different styles of play. Was a
proper battle.

We had a good run today. Couple of games in seasons, then a few
in draft and then back to seasons again. 2 wins, followed by
another 2 before losing the 3rd in draft (not much in the packs)
and then 3 wins back in seasons. I'll take a 7-0-1 record pretty
much any & every day.
The surprising thing was that we only had to wait for 1 game -
probably 10-odd minutes. Guess that's a pretty good day in
FUT-land - decent run and little waiting!
Am liking this false-9 formation ... a lot! I am thinking that
one of the main reasons, is that there are probably a number of
CAM's that fit that role of CF really well. Now, some are not
cheap - James, KDB. But boy, there are a number that could fit
in ...
Here is a list of 4*/5* skills, 1.77m+ tall, 70+ balance, 80+
short pass & 70+ finishing:

Add another 12 players if 3* skills.

Used a few of them at f9 in 15. Ozil was wonderful, ended up my
top scorer and assister with 78 goals and 50 assists. His weak
foot was a bit of a Sturridge. Performed much better than 2*.

Bronzes were great on 11, 12 and 13. Unfortunately felt they
went down hill on 14 and only used them for about a week. Last
year they were terrible. Played 1 bronze cup match in the whole
game! Was in the quarter final for 11 months but felt no urge
whatsoever to play anymore. Did try and play in a special bronze
tournament that appeared but it was horrific.
Cuz, didn't you win it over 100 times in 13? That 4231
Norwegian, German and Austrian team you lent me was amazing!
There were some amazing little players then.

Yeah I caned it on 13. I think I gave up gold and silvers almost
completely, until TOTS when I had a brief return to them. No
idea how many teams I made in the end, over 30 probably. Still
got a huge YouTube PL of Kielb goals somewhere.
Just looked on generations and I have 3 pages of bronze
strikers, lol.
IF McGinn <3
Only actually see 3 golds and 1 silver in there, lol.

Yeah, I spent the last few months of 13 trying to collect all
the IF's, and that McGinn card was pretty decent. Destroyed
someone and got 8 goals in one match, and the guy was playing.
No downed controller. It was a shame that those were the days
when too many IF's in one team made weird things happen.
Thankfully that seemed to stop last year and I ditched my rule
of no more than three special cards in a team.
The best though for me was Saleh Basher at striker. He was
amazing. Always found a way to score every game.
