Definitely agree with that Eric - infuriates me! The kid thinks
I'm the literal manager on the side, arms pointing at the screen
shouting at the ref to play advantage.
Part of this frustration is that passing from a FK can be
troublesome with high pressure - especially when the offside is
a few yards in your half. There's no cover behind the FK taker,
should you lose the ball. I hate just lobbing the ball forward.

ah frustation has kicked in! 3 losses in a row, conceeded 4
penalties :o, watching teh replay: 2 times I didn't touch the
other player. Pretty horrible night with very bad opponents
(imagine how bad I am losing against them). Low chem high pace
teams in teh Gold Cup. Took ages to get paired and then your are
facing that. Players felt sluggish, dunno.
This officially my first screw that game moment of the year. ;D

Had some sluggishness myself last night. It was like a
flashback, 'oh yeah, this!'.
Both gold teams started out really, really well, played my best
since I got it. Then suddenly, 3 games played in fudge boots.
Actually won the 1st one but straight from kick off it was just
deeerrrrrr... Instantly noticible. Guy was a decent opponent too
and inevitably took the lead within 5 or 10 min. Such is the
potency of that new 4321 tho I managed to play through it and
after making the 1st half fairly even I more or less bossed the
2nd and eventually got the winner.
The 451 is not so potent. I can normally get really good
possession and create chances but when it went slow and foggy I
couldn't even do that. Ignominious defeat.
Then the 4321 in the cup 1st round. So. Much. Bull sheets. Guy
was awful with a low chem pace team. Had to win on pens after a
3 all draw in which he had precisely 5 shots. Every time it was
him taking the lead and me equalising. He was that bad that when
the 90th min prime time arrived I simply walked through him and
made it 3 all, easy as pie.
Despite that, I had a really good evening on it, lol. Played
some great football.

went back into the cup this morning. Had some spare time. Lost
the first round, again, that is 4 losses in a row :o. Made
myself a nice coffee and headed straight back into the first
round, this time with the Serie A team. Played the best opponent
so far, good skilled player, accurate passing too. I did play
solid (like I did in the other games) and this time I won.
Paloschi (again :D) and Felipe Anderson sealed the deal for a
2-0 victory. Hurray! My first win the Gold cup.... ;D

Woo! Go Glads!
I totally got sucked into seasons last night. Was meant to
launch my full on assault on the gold cup but forgot about it.
Next time then, glory or bust.

The 'Woo!' comment and your 'get straight back into it' really
does remind me that playing this games is a roller-coaster ride.
Or, better yet, a rodeo. Have a great run, fall off & get kicked
in the face, or groin, get back up - walk away as manly as
possible knowing a 6 or 7 year old just did that to you (yes - I
googled "how old a bronc riding horse" was :P).
Then, we get back on - sometime slower that usual, aching &
creaking - then woo-hoo-ing again as we get our next 8 seconds
of glory - in full anticipation for the next earth-crashing
reality.
And that ... is the interlude of our night last night. Started
with the kick - a first game loss where we simply could not
control the beast. A few good seconds in the saddle stringing
wins together. Almost fell out the saddle with a loss, but
recovered and got some more wins. Last buck from the bronc, was
a draw in the ninth game but we recovered, tamed the beast with
a win in the last game ... record of 7-1-2 for the night & the
D3 title ...finally!
Ok ... enough with the metaphor. After a few seasons too many in
D3, we're finally out and hopefully this weekend we can settle
on a formation and conquer the next ride (last one ...
promise!).

Congrats Kiwi, amazing how you can play so many games in a row
::), is time going slower in that part of the world? ;D

LOL ... naah mate. I finished earlier in the day - had enough of
work. Also, we only played 2/3 games the night before so could
'stomach' a longer run.
AND ... we actually found games consistently quickly - that was
a pleasant change!

I had one of those bad sessions tonight. Everything seemed to go
against me. Rebound goals, team just feeling a bit off in
general, keepers making ridiculous saves, low chem mess
teams.... Think I won 2 and lost 4. Hopefully it will be better
tomorrow.

Same feels. Full on assault on the gold cup led to 4 straight
defeats and a retirement to bronzes. Just struggled to win on
pens so maybe an upturn of sorts...
Won the next on pens too :D
Now can't find an opponent. Sigh.
Kiwi had it right with the rodeo.
There's obviously no one else in the whole of Europe currently
searching for a bronze semi final.
