Wouldn't be surprised if you had a tiny bit of lag overall BB.
I'm thinking that is what's to blame when your team turns into
11 grandma's.
Racing with the crew on GTA, we had non obvious lag a lot. You'd
get the blatant lag where people are teleporting about but most
of the time, lag was just peoples cars being in fractionally
different places on peoples screens. For example, this would be
a common thing, someone would get PIT maneouvred or tapped on
the rear braking into a corner. On your screen, you'd be a yard
or 2 away from them and making no contact at all but you'd see
their car react to the hit and know that the invisible lag has
had it's surreptitious way. Contact like that would be the only
clue you had that there was some tiny lag between you and
someone else, you could race real close to them and not notice
it a lot of the time, then some combination of circumstances and
you'd get the above happen. Caused a fair few arguments between
people unfamiliar with each other.
Translating to FIFA, their team is just a fraction ahead of your
guys, who seem to be lumbering around and reacting slowly to
everything. That obviously just makes the team performance worse
because you can't get any momentum going.
Given that some evenings go great and some don't, it could be
related to however your local server traffic is doing on that
day. Not that I actually have a clue how any of this works.

I know we can be biased & have tunnel-vision at times, but boy
oh boy ... those decisions are driving me nuts!
100% agree BB that the slightest shoulder touching & we're
called up for the foul. However, the hacking down of a player,
even if he gets 1mm of his toe on the ball, is seriously screwed
up. I know this is not RL football, but the coding needs to
cater for this too.
Re: the lag ... yeah, that's the unknown part! What's going on
his side at times, would be interest to see/hear.

Pffffeh. Very mixed night tonight. Some proper ugly games and a
few rotten results. Can sympathise with your struggles finding
opponents Kiwi, I get on fine with the golds but I'm so keen to
use the bronzes and its such a trudge to get a game.
I'm a bit of a one for wanting to build and use new teams all
the time and I can only really afford to do that at bronze
level. Can't get on a roll with them when you're waiting for an
opponent for ages after every game.
Still, IF Nolito joined the main team and that lot are good fun
in the false 9 formation, now it looks nice on paper too. Xabi
Alonso has really grown on me and Raul Garcia is proving very
useful. Piszczek is kind of boring but atm, I'm really liking
all the players in that line up.
Meier is another that's good fun to use, he's such a beefcake. I
like all the players in that team too.
Actually enjoying the golds even when results are iffy, who'd a
thunk it.

Cuz enjoying golds huh, i'm tempted to call you the new and
improved Cuz :D
I think im ok with the refs on the whole although some pen calls
with shoulder to shoulder contact have been contentious. Has
also been a few games where I've been taking multiple fouls from
an opponent of varying severity and found myself remonstrating
with the ref in frustration at the lack of any action to address
things.
Anyway, quick summary of my evening. Only had time for 4 games.
Needed 2 wins from 2 to progress from division 5, managed to
get these fairly comfortably with my portugese team, fittingly
IF Andre effectively sealed promotion with a rasping 30 yarder
in off the post in the 2nd match to put me 2-0 up in first half.
Completely forgot to save it too :( Cruised to a 3-1 win in
the end.
First game in div 4 and welcome sweat. Some guy playing a 5221
with Dybala in one of his CM positions and Cuadrado notably
playing on the wing. Was 0-0 at ht, i felt i was the better
team and was kinda determined not to let his nooby team beat me.
Unfortunately i conceded some crappy goal and after that the
roof caved in, and i effectively gave up, finished 5-0 to him :(
Pleased to say though i dusted myself down and took the
portugese back out in the next match to secure a convincing 2-0
win to cap the evening. All in all a good session.

A very mixed bag for me last night. Some horrendous, unenjoyable
matches. Lots of high pressure around.
Worst game was against a no chem mess. I lost 2-0, but how I
don't know! Hit the woodwork four times, his two shots magically
went in an all his players were ball magnets!
Funniest was against someone with a guest. Markovic was injured
so my stand in RW needed some sort of link to Mereles. Time for
loan Ronaldo! The game lasted less than 10 minutes. They just
hit random lobs to gift me possession, and both times the
outcome was Ronaldo scoring.
Hopefully I can win another cup soon as I have a plan for a team
with a striker from Angola and a Chinese player on the right!

Pretty crappy night again. Terrible matches, constant high
pressure causing most of the games to decend into utter chaos.
Plenty of laughable joke penalties against me, getting really
sick of them. On that subject, has anyone had totally different
referees the past couple of days? There seem to be new ones, no
Mzizi, but equally as dodgy.
Got to my 5th Gold Cup final, and had my 4th defeat. Usual
thing!
IF Slimani made a bid for first player to score 4 in a game in
my final match of the night, but like William Carvalho, hit the
post when the chance for a 4th goal arrived.
This play beautiful tagline that EA have for Fifa 16 is
laughable. Matches are anything but. I'm playing worse football
than i did in 15. Was a lot more suited to playing nice football
than this game, just most people chose to play futball as i call
it. Still enjoying the game though. Gameplay patch will be very
interesting if one arrives.

Seriously, Div 6 hates me and wants me to quit. Just managed to
avoid relegation from it again. It's been bollocks. I lost the
1st 3 games of this season earlier, then won 2. This evening, I
have managed 4 successive draws to stave off the drop. Utter
nonsense.

Utterly ****ing ridiculous day of FIFA, won 2 out of 15 games,
not won any of the last 7. That's as far back as my feed goes.
I'm at a complete loss, team has played well twice, the rest of
the time they've been awful.

Stay strong Cuz. Took me about 4/5 seasons to get out of Div 5
and felt there was a lot of luck going against me in that time.
Last night wasn't great for me. Only had time for two games.
Drew one and lost the other. Second one was pretty
frustrating, went a goal down to a guy with a very good team,
stronger than my portugese outfit but i was playing well and
equalised before ht with a silky goal from IF Andre. Was
hoping to push on and win and was dominating play, however
conceded 2 penalties with shoulder to shoulder challenges in the
box, very frustrating! So maiden campaign in div 4 hasn't
started great P4 W1 D1 L2. Using my portugese team in most
games although still have a Serie A XI of decent strength to
play with now and again. Got rid of most high value players
from it but retained a few such as Bacca, Lichtsteiner, Parolo,
Mauricio etc so still a pretty decent side there.

Have had 2 nights of no FIFA ... and reading things here & on
the dark side, it's been good to be off it for a while.
Sold off a few players and sitting on a few coins, but not keen
to do anything. I'm keen to try new players, but the problem is
you no they will struggle against the abusers.
Star Citizen (and new PC build) can't come soon enough ::)
