I said earlier about the 'stench of a monopoly' ... they really
just do what they want. I have absolutely no issue with what
they're attempting to achieve, but why oh why do they not use
the community - the large community at that?!?!
Why did they not publish their intentions on an official site,
with access to the data. As this community does, they will go
hunting and looking for issues.
Then - formalise the response by spending 30 minutes max on a
Google form - not some crappy thread that Rob needs to work
through to 'send a report'. Freakin' archaic business process!
Anyway - give it a week for people to send responses. During
this time the official prices will be adjusted for additional
review. Finally, action it.
Yes - there will be chaos in the market, people will be panic
selling / not selling during the week. Call it 'righting the
wrong'. It will give people the ability to make the necessary
changes based on the information that is visible to all -
impending doom ;).
EA could come out of this smelling like roses. But no, they
decided to shove another drastic change (again, not saying it's
an incorrect one) on the community and once done, crawl back in
their holes and let the community vent on the forum. As much as
I don't like/respect Rob, it's a job I wouldn't want. He must've
been notified of this at a point and did a double face palm,
knowing the impending doom (again).

I've got several IF's that are now not on the market at all, or
have a few old listings still left for stupid prices. Are people
just sitting and hoping that EA makes changes?
This could go really badly wrong for EA I think. They could have
easily culled a huge amount of customers. Can't help thinking
they haven't properly thought this through in depth. This sort
of market could potentially work from the start of a FUT, but 6
months into one where there are billions of coins in
circulation? I really don't know how this will go. I failed my
economics A-Level (there were only 2 of us in the class, was a
bit of a joke really) and can't really remember the in-depth
stuff.

Cheers guys, but managed to get on console now... finally..
It was squad fitness.
I don't expect them to be affected to be honest.

its supply demand and setting the price ceiling and price bottom
... they made it wrong by simply going for 1 rate, it could
happen when its started for fut 16 but for now, its impossible.
for ps people are crying (including myself) the capped levels
caused losses and tfore people dont want to sell (basic econ, if
you set price ceiling so low there will not be supply), for xbox
on paper people should be making profits as the avg prices were
1/3 of ps so when capped prices introduced for xbox users prices
went up, but in reality they cant sell either because the min
set is too high for that specific market
funny but fut 15 from start to end is easily an econ case study
... you have everything...

there are opportunities as well, i myself tried to chase 86
rated neymar, max was set to 250k , found few but my old fingers
could not press just in time, got a sif godin for 120k tough it
was up 59,55 remaining ... i do expect cap levels to be
readjusted ...

Yeah - it's actually ridiculous how this could be a classic case
for a detailed Economics study!
Some prices are very much higher now for Xbox. Buying an UP
Sanchez for 71k now has a range of 80k-120k (from memory). Dumb!
No wonder pretty much everything is expiring at that 80k price
with no bids.
Overall, yes - max price = good ... min price = bad (or mostly
bad).

There shouldn't be a minimum price full stop.

Some of the price ranges really do not make any sense
whatsoever, like they've just plucked random numbers out of the
air. So many have been done without any sort of cross
referencing, just someone at a computer typing in numbers
randomly.
Probably some guy on a disciplinary given the job. He got bored
after 20 minutes and just put in anything to get the job done
quickly.
