Gold Cup number 19 tonight with my IF Totti team:
HTML http://www.futhead.com/15/squads/29585717/
Scores of 3-3 (4-1 pens), 3-2, 2-0 and 2-0 to do it. Final was
actually the easiest game of the lot. A BPL 41212 Beast FC type
team. (Begovic, Moreno, Kosielny, Onouha, Walker with Remy in
attack.) Pure pace everywhere and not much clue on defending
which just consisted of rushing at me very fast and leaving
holes everywhere to exploit. Leocisio Sami and Carlos Teveze
with the goals. Pretty comfortable game really.
The semi final was against an all Tottenham team. I got one of
those penalties where you get pulled back, the player keeps on
running for a bit and then falls over when he goes into the box.
But the actual tug on the shirt must have been about 10 yards
outside the box! It was ridiculous. I even thought about missing
on purpose. But then I remembered he had an all Tottenham team,
and his club name was Tottenham, but if you have Arsene Wenger
as manager in a Tottenham club, you deserve all you get! IF
Totti getting the penalty and also a stunning first time strike
after being set up by Sami.
A bit more of the huge lists turning red on page 1 and the
crossing off of Guinea Bissau, Braga, Hannover 96, and Bayern
Munich.

Without doing this since about this time last year, I wouldn't
play the game anywhere near as much. Playing in seasons against
the same teams and tactics over and over again, with the same
"strangeness" going on holds little interest to me. Without any
sort of structure like I have, I would probably just play the
featured tournaments but with the way the players go up in value
and the price ranges now, I'd just lose coins constantly and not
be able to buy more or less whoever I want as I can now.
I've always been the same on games, set myself tough, but doable
and enjoyable challenges and stick at them as I don't like
giving up. Before my little girl was born and when I was younger
it was the same but only on CM94, CM01/02 and Football Manager
when it morphed into that. Just don't have anywhere near the
required time to get into those now though.
Typed out a review of the players I used in the team I won with
yesterday, but the website crashed when I posted it, so can't be
bothered to do it all again, so quickly:
GK - Zieler. Probably the best non rare goalkeeper I've used.
RB - Rafinha. Good. Wins more in the air than he should, and a
nice cheap, and decent RB.
LB - IF Jefferson. This guy is good at everything including
shooting and free kicks. Would use again. Very good.
CB - SIF Naldo. Excellent, amazing, tackles everything, wins
everything in the air. 10/10.
CB - Dante. Solid, dominant, excellent pairing with the strong
link to Naldo. Used them in a darkside tournament and helped
keep down the score to 1-0 defeats against two of the best
darkside players (Liam and Ykyaw). Rock solid pairing.
CM - Luiz Carlos. A silver, non existent in attack, ok
defensively.
CM - Marchisio. Excellent all rounder. Only let down is that he
is half dead by 90 minutes and have never had a player get
injured as much.
CAM - IF Totti. First class passing, shooting, and dribbling.
Slow as fuck, but love him, a card that is never leaving my
club. With space can destroy a defence.
LW - Sami. Very good silver. Mixes it with gold RB's (Or Walker
to be exact) and comes off well. Quick, quite tall, decent on
the ball, can finish. Good player.
RW - Lichtsteiner. Not really a RW, but set to come short and is
a very useful player. A different winger but more enjoyable to
me to get good performances out of than using a 90 pace "star".
ST- Tevez. He always scores against you. Admit it. Luckily
nobody uses him nowadays. But so damn good on FUT this year. An
that outside of the foot shot is unstoppable. Stupidly good.

Still have a number teams for this but just can't win a cup at
all at the moment. Have probably lost 3 or 4 finals at least
since i last won it over a month ago. Will have to make some
stronger teams soon!

The long awaited 20th gold cup win was completed with this team:
HTML http://www.futhead.com/15/squads/35405764/
IF Sergio Busquets is fantastic, as is Iniesta, but that‘s
obvious, TOTS Kane doesn't stay up top, but if he actually gets
it in the box, a goal is very likely.

The rules I set for this were always a bit on the ambitious
side, to say the least. For 16, I am going to relax things a
little. Featured tournaments will be included. So for example,
if I was to win the current Argentina/Chile thing, my team
includes Guzman, a goalkeeper from Tigres in the Mexican League.
That would be Tigres crossed off the list.
Not yet sure how/if to incorporate bronze and silver cups and
lower star featured tournaments, but it would get me playing the
featured tournaments more again, while still using different
players.

I've decided to change the rules a bit. All tournaments will now
count, not just the Gold Cup.! Shouldn't change anything much,
i'll still be using as many different players as I can whatever
the tournament.

The latest winning team. Takes care of the Danish League. Also
just realised i bought the wrong Neymar and don't have the UP
version. Still, this version was good enough to destroy from LM
so doesn't realy matter.
Best player - Neymar
Weak Link- Thomsen.
Better than i expected - Kvist. One of my biggest surprise finds
of FUT15.
