Forgot to update with the last winning team, so here it is:

Was a nice team to use. All the IF's are outstanding, Payet even
more so since he got upgraded. Will use him as a CAM at some
point soon, probably in a team containing the Bahrain CB, and a
Central African Republic striker! Should be an interesting team
to use...... Benat has some lethal free kicks.
Diego Lopez is very good in goal, but can have the occasional
handling issue, but makes saves that would normally be goals.
The CB pairing are solid, and they would have been excellent to
use in an early team for sure. Rico at CDM was a nice surprise
did well. Tremoulinas did exactly what you would expect of a 77
rated LB. Could do with being a big taller ideally. Griezmann
was very inconsistent. Scored loads of goals to start with but
didn't do that much towards the end.
The silvers were good. Abdallah was much better than I expected,
not terrible, but did an ok job. Modou Sougou was very good at
RW, but did miss a few chances. Some games he was unstoppable
though.
I still have the three IF's and have plans for Payet and
Gourcuff. Want to use both as CAM's at some point.

nice mate. IF Gourcuff has been quality for me in the beginning
of this FUT, also his NIF BTW. His height and strenght are a big
plus.

He had flashes of brilliance but I could just tell he will be
much better as a CAM than as a CM in this formation.

agree he is a CAM not a CM. Sold him though before the price
ranges for 109K :D

Won it again last night with this team:

Won 1-0, 3-1 and 3-0 to get to the final. Final was against a
Ligue 1 superteam full of informs and Ibra. He was a very
annoying player but I got to halftime 1-0 up thanks to a quick
free kick 35 yards out that took him by surprise and Diego
Milito got clear after a few quick passes to score.
After that it was crazy. I could get anywhere and he was having
shot after shot, including one sequence where he hit the post,
the bar and Handanovic made a point blank wonder save from 2
yards out.
I couldn't hold on and Ibra scored after 77 minutes, but very
quickly I got my first chance of the half and Motm Ibeye made it
2-1. Again, I couldn't hold on and SIF Lacazette got a late goal
for him to get to extra time.
He was doing a lot of lobs, high pressure/aggression and stupid
celebrations so he got what he deserved in extra time. On the
bench was part of my 4321 multi nation team and Aubamayang. A
few minutes later the score was 5-2, Aubamayang getting all
three goals. He rage quit. He brought it on himself though!
(LOL!)
He was defending with the highest defensive line (IF Maxwell,
TOTY Silva, TOTY Luiz, SIF Aurier) and space for ground through
balls was huge. The defenders weren't on full fitness so after
all these months of people trying to do it to me, it was payback
time!!!!!!!

So the team I used yesterday to win the cup. The first stand out
players was IF Vidic who is a rock in defence. One of my
favourite defenders on 15 so far. With my custom tactics, that
push my back line deeper than it normally would be, I rarely
notice the lack of pace in players like this. He wins everything
in the air, and his tackling is emmaculate. Always in the right
positon. Exactly what you need from your CB.
Second star player was Diego Milito. Even with his big pace
downgrade, he is as ever a master poacher in the box. Great
finishing and positioning. Was the top scorer in the side.
Absolute steal for 350 coins.
The other good players were Handanovic in goal. After a terrible
start for me in another squad, I have used him a lot now and he
has performed better and better. Still haven't used him upgraded
card. The fullbacks were both good solid players, Zabaleta at RB
and Casco at LB. Zabaleta was the better of the two. Casco is
quick which helps him I suppose. Cambiasso and Campagnaro were
also decent.
However, I was disappointed with the other players Correa,
Sessegnon and especially MotM Ideye. Correa and Sessegnon didn't
contribute that much. Correa got a few assists but Sessegnon did
very little at all.
MotM Ideye was not great at all. Not worth the coins whatsoever.
Scored some goals, 9 in 20 I think, but nothing at all to
justify his cost.
Milito and IF Vidic were great. Can see myself using Vidic again
unfortunate that Milito is in the Argentine League so will
probably not use again unless he sneaks in when I make a team to
use the other 3 Argentine teams with gold players.

Forgot about IF Fernando Gago. Reason being, well he is
forgettable! Didn't stand out at all. Scored one nice goal but
not much else. Probably would be better at CM instead of LCDM.

Just won it tonight with this, the oldest team I currently have:

Won 3-0, 2-1, 4-2 and 3-1 in the final. The final was against a
Brazilian team with 3 5* skillers. As happens 90% of the time I
face these sort of teams, they try skills in the first half or
until they go behind and then it's big lobs all the way. This is
exactly what happened and it was easy to defend. Samba won all
the big aerial balls aimed for Maikon Leite and Douglas Costa,
and as happens very often with this team, IF Dzsudzsak destroyed
him.
The most interesting game was the semi final. Felt like the most
glitched game of Fifa every played (and that's saying
something). I scored when Mandanda saved a point blank Dzsudszak
shot, but then stood up and backhealed it into his own goal!
Also multiple defenders taking themselves out. On one occasion
in my box, three defenders all fell over each other for no
apparent reason. Luckily IF Dzsudszak destroyed his defence. A
common theme with this team. He will never be sold. Never. Even
if he could go for 1m instead of his 23k limit.

Gold Cup number 18 won tonight with my IF Chikhaoui team with
4-3, 2-1, 4-1 and 2-1 wins.

Always felt in charge of the final and went ahead just before
halftime with a well worked move finished by Manuel Fernandes. A
dodgy penalty gave my opponent a way back in, but a Danny
stepover beat his full back 25 yards from goal and he raced
clear to score an 89th minute winner.
The star of the team wasn't IF Yassine Chikhaoui. It was the
Cypriot silver winger Demetris Christofi on the right hand side.
He was able to beat defenders easily, was decent on the ball and
always popped up in the box in a dangerous position. He got two
goals in both the first two games and a hattrick in the semi
final, plus a nice assist for the first goal in the final. A
very dangerous silver player, and not all about pace as is the
case with a lot of silvers.
The centre back pairing of IF Kolo Toure and IF Skrtel was a
decent one, and De Gea did well behind them. Glen Johnson is
quite good and LB, Uzbekistan's Vitaliy Denisov was pretty good
and has a fantastic mullet!
The midfield was a bit small, but all three, Fernandes, Yapi
Yapo, and Chiumiento were all good, and different enough to work
together. IF Chikhaoui is good, but not really one that I got
the best out of. Some people rave about him, but not stellar for
me. Danny is tricky on the left.
A nice little team, and was very dangerous particularly
Christofi who performed like an 85 rated player, not a 70 rated
one. He had a sniper attached and played way way above his
stats.
