it is a fun challenge TWS, and always an interesting read. If I
would play loads of games like in FUT12 I would probably do
something similar. I always get inspiration using a certain
player after I read about him in your thread.
I used Briand back in FUT12.....see that his WR's has changed
and an increase with 1 star on his weak foot. This silver card
does look nice....

Thanks! I'll try and give quick reviews on the players I'm using
and recommend the ones that stand out. Have been quite a few so
far, biggest surprise find has been Simao Mate. Try and use him
if you can. Well worth it.

My plan was to rest the 4231 team for a bit because I just
couldn't put together the 4 consecutive wins required to win the
cup.
I had already won a 1st round match 2-1 so played the cup to a
finsh.
Second round was a 5221 Serie A team and found myself 3-0 down
midway through the second half despite being in charge. His
goals were very iffy bounces. Thought that was it but the
comeback was great to win 5-4. His 4th was a phantom penalty
where the AI does something it shouldn't. To make matters worse,
he hit the inside of the post and followed up to score. Except
that isn't allowed. Oh, it is on Fifa. Didn't matter though as a
goal for Dominguez, 3 for Mitroglou and IF Affelay completed the
scoring.
Semi final was domination. Hit the post 3 times and ended 90
minutes with 16 shots for and 3 against. Substitute Keita opened
the scoring but the other team scored with Ramos from the only
shot on goal from them in the match right near the end. Luckily
Mitroglou had the last word with a first time shot just inside
the box that went in off the post.
The final was a Bundesliga pace team (is there any other
Bundesliga team?) with Ramos and Aubamayang in attack. Luckily
the other guy had the new Hulk Hogan in goal and he proceeded to
pass straight to Mitroglou and save straight to Mitroglou to put
me 2-0 up at half time. Aubamawhatnot scored on 50 and I feared
the worst, but Afellay and Dominguez hit them with two more to
give me a 7th Gold Cup trophy.
After 80 odd games this team finally were winners:

Mitroglou was a great striker with a very helpful 5* weak foot
and got 58 goals, Dominguez was a major surprise and an
excellent non rare CAM and got 52 goals with his powerful shot.
Highly recommended. IF Afellay was also great, but want to try
him in a more central CAM position. Could be even better
central. Salpingidis wasn't that good, and just could score the
vast majority of the time.
Strootman is a good H/H Serie A option in midfield. Was decent
coming forward from CDM, and good enough defensively to fit in
well there. Alex Song is an under rated player this year, but
would be improved a lot with better shooting. The amount of
chances he missed was annoying.
IF Bonucci and IF Reid are solid enough, although Bonucci
doesn't quite reach the levels of his IF in FUT 14. Still good
though. Balzeretti was good at LB, and can't be much worse than
when he was in every Serie A team in FUT12. Jenkinson is decent
enough at RB, but Consigli is very average in goal.
The top recommendations in the side undoubtably Mitroglou,
Dominguez and IF Afellay.

congrats tws, that formation is the best to take out of central
cam position , that is where i am having fun with my cassano.
similar to domingues perf. for side cams you have to instruct
them so that they get more involved.

So after warming up by taking someone apart in seasons, probably
the best football I've played on Fifa ever, causing a 58th
minute rage quit at 2-0 against Ramos and Aubamaran, I was
confident that I could take down cup number 8 with my 433(4)
team.
Was greeted by Doumbia and Musa, AND the worst kind of lag, the
one that makes you player switches take about 2 seconds and it
stuttered along for the whole match really badly.
Even after taking a 3rd minute lead when I stopped his kick off
run, attacked myself and carved him apart for Salah to cut in
and put one in the far corner, I was not confident of the win.
BUT, somehow I managed to keep him out for the rest of the match
and despite only having one more shot on goal near the end with
IF Senturk, I won! Was astonished to only keep him to 3 shots,
but to be fair to him, the lag was probably messing him up as
well.
The pack, in true EA fashion, contained the manager of my other
team, Hutter, Thiago Neves and Siquiera, both in my other team
also, and Fernando from Shakthar, who I've also already used.
The winning team:
HTML http://www.futhead.com/15/squads/8748022/
No weak links in the team at all really. Sahan was probably the
worst player but he works hard down the left and does a solid
job without doing anything exceptional. Insua at LB is decent
and a good player, not bad at anything. Nastasic is a 350 coin
discard player but plays way above that. A very good defender
and excellent in the air.
Otamendi I was very impressed with. Nothing got by him and a
great option for an Argentinian or BBVA squad. At RB, Ivanovic
is the best RB I've used yet. Nothing gets by him and is very
strong. His slight lack of pace wasn't a problem at all.
Excellent player. Also, in goal, Diego Alves is the best
goalkeeper I've used by a massive distance. Saves shots that
with other keepers would be a goal 95% of the time. Made
absolutely no errors at all.
In midfield, Fernando was what made this team such a big
success. A fantastic defensive midfielder. IF Belluschi is also
very good, more attacking, but having Fernando protected him and
allowed him to show glimpses of greatness when I attacked. Diego
is good. A player I've never got on with in past FUT's, but
liked him more this time out. A good skilful CAM.
In attack, IF Senturk is a good finisher, get the ball to him in
the box and he'll likely score, but doesn't do much else. A bit
like Gary Lineker was when we were young! Salah was also very
good. Excellent on the ball and a better shot than his stats
suggest.
The most successful team I've made yet I think. I was one of
those teams that just felt right, and flowed when attacking and
very solid in defence. If I had a better LW, it'd be unstoppable
in attack. Can recommend every player, apart from Sahan I guess,
but the standouts were Diego Alves, Ivanovic, Fernando and
Salah.

Barely played the last few days, but in the two games I've
played with this team, did like Quaresma. Last game I played was
against a 5atb parked bus. Also every pass the oppo made with
Jovetic was a rabona!
Was 1-0 down with 10 men after IF Djilobodji got sent off for
two yellows. Jay Rodriguez finally levelled after 79 minutes and
then I went on a crazy skill move frenzy with Quaresma which
ended with a finish by Mayuka. Kieran Richardson added one more
before he put down the controller.
Quaresma is showing potential for me, and have Nani in my next
planned team.
