I have now played around 80 games with the 4231 team with
Mitroglou up front and featuring IF Afellay, IF Bonucci and IF
Reid. For the life of me can't win the gold cup with it. Got to
a couple of finals and it is a really enjoyable team to use, but
I am thinking of making another team and resting that one for a
couple of weeks.
Thought I'd created a nice little Saudi League/Bundesliga/BBVA
team, featuring IF Mustafi and IF Zieler but unfortunately Pietr
Trochowski is in the database but doesn't have any cards in the
game.

Ah yes -Trochowski ... what a shame. Apparently he left on a
free transfer. Was really looking forward to using him too.

Was a shame that Trochowski doesn't exist, remember him being
incredible in FUT12 I think.

Nice TWS.
Used IF Perisic in a 3412 - no impact really. Unfortunately for
him it's the high-rated team & thus does not get much of a
showing. I guess in 41212 you may need to give him some
instructions to get more forward with his WRs. Again - great
stats on the guy!
Yes - Trochowski had good card in 12 and was central - great for
hybrids. Made the link with this amazing card:

yet to play with if afellay, want to get if janmaat for chem
reasons ...
same with perisic, didn't get a start with him, thinking to get
him as RF, btw ivica olic s amazing, scored like 20 g in 10
games with a couple of assts. re instructions and custom
tactics, definitely seeing the difference. am using them quite
extensively

IF Afellay is good, and I am a bit unsure about using IF Perisic
at RM in 41212, a formation I've never really got on with at all
really. He will be one I keep for a long while though, want to
try him further forward. Trying to find a way to get him in with
Henry at LF for a future team. Olic would be an obvious
candidate for striker if I try something like that. Or Bendtner!

I suppose you could also use a French striker in Bundes - see
there is Modeste & Briand. Not sure if that helps your 'club'
list.

I've already got Modeste scouted a while back as a potential
hybrid connector! I've spent way too long checking out obscure
nations and their players, and ways to hybrid them into teams
the past few weeks. Doing these teams and trying to create them
is what I like most on this game. Would be bored of the game
already using the standard BPL or Bundesliga teams.
Built the new team but yet to use it. Have a gold cup to finish
with the 4231 team that's about to take a rest and played 2
seasons games with the IF Senturk 433(4) team.

Yeah - this is still an amazing challenge. So many combinations.
You really do need a local spreadsheet of all players that you
can sort & re-sort as needed, whilst ticking off those that
you've used.

I've got lists in the first few posts on page 1 of this thread
that I keep updated and have a copy of just in case.
When building my new teams I always look at those lists and try
and start by either putting in a player from a rarer nationality
I haven't used, putting in a player from a club that I have to
use that has very few decent options or putting in players that
fit together from a league like the Saudi League or 2 Bundesliga
and going from there, normally also trying to work in these
discard IF's that I keep picking up each week.
Any teams that I make and like the look of, I save them in the
concept squad slots, sometimes using them or sometimes deleting
after a while because I've come up with something better
involving the players in them, or even because of the new TOTW's
bring new inspiration for teams.
