A few rumours floating around that Arsenal have bid
£40,000,001... no seriously it is 40m and £1 because apparently
when there are bids over £40m, Liverpool have to allow Suarez to
talk to the bidding club. Probably BS but interesting
nonetheless

Hmm well that obv means the claims about the contract aren't
true, or Arsenal didnt bid enough to trigger it.

much money Lewis? Kinda surprised L'pool rejected it the way

Me too Eric.
£40m seems reasonable.
Funny to have a £40m clause and then laugh when someone offers
£40m...
I would smite Liverpool at this point, but can't afford to get
smited again myself.

I seen a comment from an Arsenal fan on bbc last night saying
basically, 'Years of prudent financial management and now
bidding double their transfer record on Bitey McRacist (his
words) somethings not right, glad they didnt accept'.
I can totally see the person was coming from. Sure you can
splash the cash but on Suarez? with his rep in England? he just
doesnt really fit in with the Arsenal profile i would have said.
Wenger must really rate him.
The fee for Soldado is a bit steep as well dont you think? 30m
euros, so £26m roughly? too much for a 28 year old. I would
back off and see how Valencia react.

I wouldn't touch Suarez with your's mate...
As for Soldado, I don't know that much about him to know what he
is worth.
£26m seems a lot for a 28yr old though yes... unless he is a
top, top player.

if he scores that for 2-3 seasons and helps them get top 4 spots
then yeah. Im sure he's a good player but these spanish clubs
are skint, ofc that doesnt mean they should sell their best
players on the cheap, but at same time i think they are holding
spurs to ransom.
But as they say a player is worth whatever someone is willing to
pay for them.
