Kid brought up the Xbox - he had downloaded the demo.
Was cool to notice the editing of formations - moving one of the
CDM's into a CM role / position - nice one. Certainly hope this
is true for UT too (pre-game start) - although I doubt it. Will
have to edit the formation in game.

We played 2 games against one another - felt good to be playing
a football sim again - must say that! Even though I was 'out of
it' - trying to remember how to do a skill move :). We then
tried a UT game - co-op. Was pretty 'meh'. Went back to playing
against one another.
And that's when it started to feel 'just like playing same ol'
FIFA again'. Keepers making pathetically horrendous decisions -
Joe Hart actually jogged over a right-footed shot from Messi
(from the edge of the box) - did not even bother attempting the
save. Ter Stegen runs out and simply knocks it on - straight to
the striker & an open goal. Another goal mouth incident (from a
corner) where the kid's keeper tries to run with the ball
instead of going down to grab it ... knocks it straight to my CB
(2 yards away) who taps it in.
Sure - there were a few 'new' saves where the keeper got a
strong hand behind it. But, this was probably the biggest
disappointment given there's been so much hype around the new
goalkeeping AI.

Also, noticed that whilst sprinting back (with Schmelzer) after
Sterling - mashing the 'B' button - eventually I leapt in front
of him. Like Glad said - the physical stat is going to be an
important one. Well - I think this may have been the reason
Sterling could not get away. Not quite sure how far that was in
the game & maybe Sterling was tiring - don't know.
In another game, I could not catch up to Xavi (again using my
LB). Don't mind those kinds of things - as long as they are
consistent. Well, I must say that overall, when the kid played
with Barca it certainly felt like he was never going to lose :D.

I do agree that there were 'less bouncing balls' as you said
Glad. But, in one move, the kid (messing around a bit), did
manage to get 2 lobbed through-balls, then a perfect lob/chip
into the top right corner. The AI just does not know how to
abuse the game :P. Think the 10yo runts will master that - again
- in no time!

The more I was playing, the more I started to realise that maybe
football is just never going to be 'well-written' / 'prefect' -
from a code perspective. During the games I mentioned this to
the kid, that I was not expecting that perfection. But the more
we played, the more I realised that the basic decision making at
times (GK) is just stupid.
For the kid - 2 highlights - first when the defender was
expecting a cross, he put his arms behind his back (simple
animation). Secondly, his slide making marks on the pitch -
there were still there after a few minutes .... ::).

Visually this game is incredible. The hours (therefore $$$) that
they plough into the game to make it look so freakin' amazing,
is to be admired. I just hope they fix basic things like using
custom formations, or getting co-op to work (XB1) in UT.
If those things are not available, then for me to play this
game, I'm going to have to lower my expectations -
significantly.

welldone kiwi, on thing tough, keepers and shooting are faulty
and already been corrected in beta ...
demo is an older code, so there is hope :D

I read your previous comment re: Ibra, OT... good to hear that
this is not final release code then.
I am thinking that I will be web-app only on UT & buy the game
pre-Christmas for half the price ... ::)

good read Kiwi but indeed this is not the final game. I have
hope that they really nerved some things down. I don't expect
big chances ofcourse. I will buy the game from the release, kind
of excited again to start all over again. I feel like a boy in a
candy store at the moment, with all those new player cards
dripping in.
Have you seen the downgrade of Eto 'o? a 15 downgrade in
PACE!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D from 91 to 76....I guess we will not
see him a lot anymore... :P

I see Eriksen, Nasri & Cazorla are all LM now. Damn! 3 good CAMs
lost.
Oh well, it is BPL ... no great loss :P

Yeah - seems kinda strange that EA/Microsoft are holding onto
that.
If I - as the end user - is supposed to benefit from this
so-called 'exclusive' arrangement, it's a massively overrated
benefit. Never have played with one & probably never will
either. Morons.

in some time, it will be valid for ps also (i think), i will not
switch to xbox for the sake of legends, while all my friends are
on ps.
sony just should get the deal.
i might follow suit about new game, i am selling my ps (and all
accessories) for 400 USD, not bad deal, given the fact here in
turkey new ps4 is like 550 USD. so will be solely on webapp,
hopefully it stays working and so could have fun at least with
team building. i might get the ps4 during xmas. if there pops a
good deal maybe some time early, because from april onwards, i
will not have a single second to play it, our No2 is on his/her
way : )))
