started to think that EA FIFA game is quite realistic actually

so with all those BS happening in EA FIFA and our complaints,
and on the other hand WC is still on with a lot of goals, like
75 in 25 games...
i started to think, EA FIFA is indeed quite realistic - : )
[li]5 atb & offside trap bringing success? -
Costa Rica[/li]
[li]a pacey strong underrated striker is creating
problems to all defenses? - J Campbell (wonder if we would be
called back to Arseanal by Wenger)[/li]
[li]kroos taking corner hummels heading in? -
well that really happened : )[/li]
[li]while taking a corner kick on attack, getting
hammered by a counter? - yday France scored the third as
such[/li]
[li]you take a penalty, keeper saves, on the
rebound you shoot to open goal but hit the post - well that
happened yday as well : )[/li]
[li]keeper blocks a shot, but another opponent
player taps in - T Muller's 3rd goal against
Portugal[/li]
[li]lob balls - many teams employed that, most
interesting one was Dutch employing long balls destroying
Spain[/li]
[li]stupid penalties - the one Brazil
got[/li]
[li]stupid referee decisions - yday ref blowing
the whistle just 5 second before Benzema scores and so his goal
was disallowed[/li]
[li]and lastly making a high rated team with a
lot of blue, black cards is not bringing success - check Spain,
they hv added Costa to their team and baaamm they were the first
to be out of the tournament :) [/li]
That is sn interseting post Otu and yeAh you hot a point.
To add; high rated goalkeepers making strange mistakes ; Akineef
And missing an wasy sitter and getting destroyed in the same
minute ; Holland vs Australia, Aussies should have scored but
the ball ended like a magnet in the hands of Cillesen after
which Holland scored

the referee was actually right in your example, game was already
finished when he shot and it wasn't an easy tap in just a great
shot from outside the box.

he should have let them play another 5-10 seconds that is what i
am saying, for the sake of game, if it goes wide, out or foul,
or swiss get the ball then you blow the whistle ...

And in the first half that double deflection that nearly gave
Germany an own goal. FUT through and through!

I do understand that your post is part-truth, part
tongue-in-cheek. You can add the 90th+ minute from Argentina
too.
For me I've never questioned the fact that stupid stuff happens
in UT as we all know that RL football delivers some truly
amazing, daft, unbelievable and LOL moments.
For me, you've got to question the amount of times all or most
of those aspects you've mentioned, happen in one game of UT. 12
minutes of play sees a lot of that stuff happen - many of them
repeated (headed goals the pick of the bunch). The events you've
mentioned have happened a few thousand minutes.
Now, the one aspect where UT especially is just way over the top
& massively unrealistic, is the shooting side. 27 games in & we
have had 78 goals - 2.89 per game - a nice return for us. I
think in UT, that's an average for each player! Also, would be
interesting to see how many shots it's taken to get that many
goals & how that relates to UT.
Shooting IRL is like playing on manual shooting in UT. If that
was a forced setting in UT we'd see far fewer kids playing the
game as a lot of them would not put the effort in to 'get
better'.
FYI - I found this whilst checking on some stats -
HTML http://www.economist.com/node/21603828.
It's quite cool to hover
over a specific goal too - shows all the goals for that specific
game.

yes kiwi, its 90 pct tongue in cheek... and totally agree, out
of 75 games, those happened, but in every UT game be it WC or
regular one, we see all of them, and that is the annoying part,
eventually you start using the weaknesses of game to win ...
that is the worst, and the sad truth ... there is no reward if
you try to play proper football.
if they make it more realistic, i do agree that many of the UT
database will quit playing ... if EA should try to correct a few
things, i would be happy (instead of focusing on the physical
appearance of footballers, or turf being marked when a sliding
occurs as they mentioned about fifa 15) , just to start for
instance, decreasing the effectiveness of high pressure, if we
see more stamina loss due to that press, then game will be
balanced.
but we say this for like 5 years already, and every year some
new bug pops up ...

I can just see it on FUT15, towards the end of the 1st half on a
wet pitch, the opponent will start mass slide tackling in their
own half. 2nd half their lob through balls to 90+ pace strikers
will stick in all the scuffs on the pitch instead of bouncing
through to the goalkeeper!
